  1. It would have to be cross server. That would solve the population problem in one go. GW1 had a decent cross server function where you wernt set to any one server but could change at will. I wouldnt say thats the best option for here, i think you loose the community sprite but a social would should be cross server. Until people make friends then realise they cant actually play the game with them. It would also give EAware a chance to get all the fluff out of their system. On a smilar note, space should be the same system. A battle group style set up with grouped servers. TBH this should have been done in the first place.
  2. Looking at what we have just listed down, not including what im sure the devs already have in mind with all their "infinite wisdom". I would actually be willing to wait for an expansion. I think that might be the only way to get it all in and correctly. Perhaps on the next round of expansions they could release 2, one for ground and one for space. Player housing has always been a huge deal for me and with space being for all intensive purposes infinite with limitless planets this game is ideal for it. But on the other hand there must be a reason why its been implemented successfully so few times. I can only think of a handful of games where player housing and structures has been done well. Not even the all mighty wow managed it. If anyone can think of ways that this and space combat could be seamlessly linked i would love to see it put up here in hopes of being read. We have an opportunity here people!
  3. Thats true. Although server merger is almost impossible server migration should help a bunch, especially if its free from low pop servers.
  4. But in all seriousness, Space Jawas need the credit's. Support your local Space Jawas. One thing i need i think will need to be fixed before any of this can happen is server population. The pop my my server is decent but i know many are a lot worse. Without high populations introducing more social hubs and space activity will bring down the population everywhere else.

  6. I never see how reporting someone will benefit you. Play your own game, if people want to use exploits then thats their business. Same with RL. If someones murdered someone then yea, they are a danger to the public and id probably snitch. But other than that its their business unless it directly effects me.
  7. Being able to look on the galaxy map to see the locations of player ships and stations would be great. Stations should probably be stationary but moving guilds capitol ships would be awesome. You have to request permission to bored and you can block certain players or guild from entering. Would almost create sub factions. Guild that your friendly with could group up into fleets and raid on imp/pubs capitol ships. ITS A TRAP would have a whole new meaning! And it would give another reason for guilds to stick together. I dont mean guilds full of alts but active guilds should have the better ships.
  8. If you combine it with KO you get a shed load of mitigation. Saved my but many times. With the talents in the Pyro tree KO's cooldown can be reduced quite a bit.
  9. I love my PT with a passion. Look forward to playing it every day. Best 1) Grapple! Grappling people into the flames, acid and especially the jet streams in Hut ball is worth rolling this class alone. Grapple+electodart = Gotcha' ***** 2)The ability to really be a game changing member of a team. A Powertech with a decent healer can cause a lot of havoc and literally change the outcome of a game. You dont need an escape if you dont die! 3)Players reactions when they see a Powertech running towards them. You can see the perpetual fear on their little pixilated faces. Theres soo soo many more. But ill let you guys fill in the rest. Worst 1)Your the gorilla in the room, theres no sneaking about. A Powertech stands out like a boil on your girlfriends *** 2)Lack of CC. Would be great to just have 1 more universal snare or root for all specs. 3)Heat management for Pyro, but thats all in the learning curve. Its totally manageable, just need to keep a constant eye on it
  10. If you got the skills and know your class you can put out crazy dps. Maras/Sens are probs the easiest to do it with. Snipers are awesome. Powertechs can do insane dps if you know what your doing. Pyro and AP are are alot closer than people think as long as you know what your doing. PVE is alot harder to measure but in WZ's Powertechs, Sorcs and Snipers destroy the damage charts

  12. I would agree that although there is a lot of exploration on the ground, i havent really found any spots that theres no mobs thats purely just there for the beauty of exploration. Finding a nice spot with an amazing view or a random hut to set down in for the night. I hope they add space stations or ships that are just there for social reasons. This is where i think player created stations and ships will come into play. You can either choose to turn your station into a trading post or a war station. The same with capitol ships. Did anyone ever play Zelda Wind Waker when you would randomly see a trading ship out in the ocean. Something like that but on a much much larger scale. But maybe im just spit balling
  13. I've played many MMO's. Not going to list them but pretty much all the major ones. What iv found is that generally Addons make things easier. And with people already complaining about a lack of content why would you want to make things go faster. I also feel that every game i have put addons to they have somewhat broken my immersion.
  14. I dont think we should expect all the ideas to be implemented straight away. Theres going to be expansions. What i think is most important at the moment is space exploration. Like when Luke flew from Hoth to Dagobah. The problem i see is that how can you have a sandbox-esque space system but a theme park ground system? Any solutions to this problem?
  15. If you hate it so much, why are you still subbing? Why do people focus on the bad things instead of all the good things that keep us subbing. I saw an amazing quote on a forum a few months ago and i wish i could find it but ill try and remember it the best i can. "An MMO is like a baby, when its first born all it can do it poop and cry. Then it grows into a toddler and starts to crawl and we love to see it grow. It then matures into a mischievous kid pushing its luck but we still see all the potential. We then see our beloved MMO grows into a headstrong adolescent with its whole future ahead of it, getting smarter and better everyday. Next our MMO is fully matured, its the business and no one can touch it, its finally got everything just right. Finally we see our old friend starting to wind down, get a bit creaky but we have all the nostalgic memories of good times gone past." I guess what im trying to say is STOP QQING and give it time. The games only been out for like 7 months or so and we have had some great content added. If you want a polished MMO go play "that other game". Im glad you at least out some suggestions on how to fix it otherwise i just would have posted: I thought you at least deserved a decent response for the time you put in

  21. I found STO much to cumbersome. Admittedly i didnt stick around on either game. STO i just didnt like much. Not sure why i didnt keep playing EvE, always tempted to go back and give it a go again

  23. ...you should really play EvE. Or even just look at the vids for JTL. I played STO's space combat and it didn't compare to EvE
