  1. Anyone else think that final tank talent in the Jugg/Guard trees is just.. not good lol. I find as a tank in this game you have to be a lot more mobile and with the exponential amount of knock backs and stuns in this game having to use something like Blade Dance as part of a tank rotation to get that defense buff is just not good or efficient at all. You literally have to time it just right to get the full swings off to maximize the buff. They could have gone with just about any other ability to add a tank perk of some kind imo. Thoughts?
  2. Before I resubscribed I tried out the new FTP option of the game and was pretty taken back by some of the limitations, especially to players that are "preferred status". I am thinking it would not be bad to have another level of preferred status for players who actually purchased the game as those players have more invested in it. As it stands now, a player can buy the smallest amount of cartel coins and they become preferred status abd have the same limitations and freedoms as someone who actually put in the money to buy the game. Some of the limitations I think are a little much for the preferred status players: Not being able to mail credits between characters (at the very least make this something that a player can unlock via cartel coins), Simply features like unify colors or to show titles, limiting crew skill slots and the number of companions allowed to perform crew skills, being able to submit a ticket to GM's regarding in game issues, and most of all the XP penalty for being ftp and preferred status. I can understand limiting actual game content with ftp and even the limitations on flashpoints/operations etc, but to lock out the simplest game functions seems a little much. A friend of mine who is currently playing ftp as a preferred status player was having an in game issue and couldnt even submit a ticket about it. "Subscribers" may submit tickets. Even as a subscriber I can see huge issues with this. On top of that, as someone who originally dumped the money to purchase this game at release I find it a kind of a slap in the face that someone who spends $5 on cartel coins suddenly has the same freedoms and limits as someone who actually bought the game. I know the FTP option is fairly new and hopefully more of this is going to be worked out over time. I am not flaming this in any way just pointing out some flaws in the design and that alot of players have put in alot more money wise into the game and that should be reflected in some way.

  6. So.. I dont suppose you guys could add in a matrix shard relic for assassin tanks eh? Seems to be the only matrix relic missing from the combos. Would be great to get one for us!
  7. A while back I had posted that I had accidently abandoned the quest "Friends of the Republic" on Taris. Because it was a mission that was acquired inside an instance, and was part of the main storyline of the planet Taris I was told by not 1, but multiple GM's the mission could not be reacquired by any means. The GM's would not help me in anyway to restore this mission and told me that missions like that could not be restored or reacquired and the game was designed this way. I stewed in this for a while. I continued with my missions on other planets but needless to say, not being able to finish a main story of a planet bothered me. The fact a GM would not lift a finger to help, especially considering this was my first time making a mistake such as this also bothered me. Today I logged in and decided to go back to Taris and try my luck. I posted in general chat asking if anyone happened to be on the same quest "Friends of the Republic" and got lucky. Another player "Sabredance" had just picked up this mission. I explained to him my situation and asked if would be kind enough to group with me and try to share the mission. He did and it worked. I was able to accept the mission when he shared it and FINALLY continue my planet missions on Taris. I found this amusing in a way because according to multiple GM who were unwilling to help me.. this mission and others like it could NOT be reacquired by any means and they could not help me. So.. a big thank you to one of my fellow players, Sabredance for helping me where GMs could not and would not. My fellow players, keep this in mind in case this has ever happened to you with a mission. THANK YOU SABREDANCE!
  8. Its the main story questline for Taris involving Thana. The mission "Friends of the Republic" can't be reacquired and you can't do the story quests involving her after that without completing that one. I abandoned it by accident while dropping another one (mistook one for the other). The npc for the initial quest is in an instanced room so there is no getting it back. Customer service confirmed that not only was it impossible to reacquire but they apparently do not have the ability to restore said quest either. Kinda fail imo.
  9. I didn't know until recently that some missions could not be reacquired if you abandoned them. In my case, I was trying to abandon one quest and accidently abandoned another. Yes, I know it was my mistake but it brought to my attention how stupid the mechanics are in this particular scenario. Being unable to reacquire a mission is a pretty big failure in the design of the game imo. Will I be more careful in the future.. ya.. but sometimes people make a mistake and **** happens. To make this worse, customer service was not able to restore the abandoned mission and simply reply with "the mechanics of the game are working as intended some missions simply cannot be reacquired". So if someone makes the mistake of abandoning the wrong mission by mistake, their simply screwed especially if its one of the missions thats part of a planet's main storyline. So, my questing on Taris was brought to a screeching halt because of this. Will I work around it.. yes, but this is a failed mechanic if ive ever seen one. Yes, again before the flamers start, I know, I abandoned the mission by mistake while attempting to abandon another one so I take my fault in this.. but being unable to reacquire the mission and customer service being unable to assist with restoring the mission is a big fail on EA's part.
  10. Im pretty stoked about everything accept the level cap increase. Was more hoping the legacy system would end up being used as kind of alternate advancement system like EQ's old AA system. I just hope they dont pull what blizzard did and make anything pre-level cap increase obsolete.
  11. I just logged in for thr first time since the 3/6/12 patch. I noticed on my sith juggernaut, when in combat or carrying his lightsabre unsheathed, it now appears as if he is not holding his lightsabre, but more that the lightsabre is floating freely from his hand whenever he moves or swings it. Just cosmetically annoying to look at lol. Hopefully its a minor fix to be dealt with soon.
  12. One thing I have really enjoyed about this game is the modible gear and how you can somewhat customize your look. Leveling up if you find modible gear you like, you can stick with it and simply change the mods to level the gear with you and it gives you the ability to have an appearance you like. I am finding at top end this "customization" is lost because as you do the hard modes and use the commendations and unassembled columni items to get your gear, you lose the ability to keep a look you prefer. I am hoping that this suggestion gets heard and is taken seriously. The artifact columni and rakata gear instead of having some base stats, have them include some type of superior armoring mod. This way, you still have to invest the time to get the gear, but instead of everyone at top end looking the same, people have the option of removing the mods from the HM gear and using it in their favorite modible gear. This would allow players to continue to customize their characters appearance at top end, but still would have to put in the same effort to get the gear that has the mods we need to upgrade our own modible equipment. I for one think alot of the tionese/columni/rakata gear is just horrible to look at lol. And everyone at lv 50 ends up looking teh same which is boring. Adding an armoring slot to the tionese/columni/rakata gear will allow players more fun in making their character appear more how they would like and would shy away from everyone looking the same at top end.
  13. Ever since my last respec ive had far less issues with threat. My current spec is http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#101cRG0urrozMZhGMMM.1 and it has served me well. The unstoppable talent has made it easier to establish threat since i cant get cc'd or knocked back etc when i engage a mob and the extra dmg reduction on a pull helps cushion the initial dmg you take for the healer. I open with force scream and then go into a rotation of sundering assault, viscious slash, and retaliation when its off cooldown. Retaliation is a key to keeping threat, make sure to pop it whenever its off cooldown immediately.
  14. Not all, but i know im tired of people posting things they want in game out of pure laziness. Thank you Blizz for making gamers lazy. lol. "Oh noes, I have to ride my speeder across a map to get to my OWN ship and go somewhere" OH NOES!
  15. I dont see an issue with mitigation at all honestly. Ive had alot of high marks from healers for being solid as a rock when running HM's etc. I find more issue when it comes to threat. I think buffing damage could indeed cure part of that, but honestly then comes the issue of past games "tanks doing to much damage". Honestly, just adding some "high amount of threat" mods to more commonly used abilities like "Sundering Assault" or "Force Scream" would make a huge different. I have found since changing my spec today Ive had less threat issues. I spec'd out of 31 Jugg and more into vengeance for the simply ability of "Unstoppable" (i believe its called). Being able to leap in and NOT be knocked back or cc'd right off has made a huge impact in getting some early threat established. Not to mention the 20% extra dmg mitigation helps fluff that initial few hits from mobs/bosses. Still, at least a little threat adjustment to more common abilities "Or a remake of Backhand" to be a more usable (more oftenly used) ability would be nice. We need some kind of threat help at top end.
