  1. To me, this is an issue of platform independence - DirectX may be all kinds of awesome for game development, but if it only works on one platform, then why limit yourself at all? Another example would be if I developed a webpage and said, "Well since Internet Explorer users only make up 10% of the market, I'm not going to bother supporting it." If I had this attitude, I wouldn't be in business. Secondly, I disagree with the notion that there is a limited market for Mac gamers - I think (and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) MOST Mac users are young people and MOST young people play games. You want to know why I don't play very many games on MY Mac? Because there AREN'T very many games for my Mac. This argument seems entirely circumstantial. Not to mention that Apple is growing and growing while Microsoft is struggling to remain relevant.
  2. I'm not buying Windows, and I'm not pirating Windows - Not worth my money or my bandwidth. (And Boot Camp hates pirated versions evidently.) I'll gladly return to the game once OSX support is implemented - Soon would be kinda cool, miss my Marauder.
  3. 1) Mac client. 2) A client of the game compatible with OS X. 3) A release of the game client for Lion. Maybe not in that particular order. (PS - The "Boot Camp" solution is a joke, and Microsoft can shove it if they think I'm going to shell out $100+ for their BS excuse of an Operating System.)
  4. Hi - I'm wondering if anyone else has tried installing this game onto an SD Card to save hard drive space - I previously had this game installed on a 500GB External USB Hard Drive and it was working quite well, aside from the fact that I had this hard drive constantly tethered to my machine (which is a Macbook Air running Win 7 via Boot Camp, I might add.) I since decided to purchase a 32GB Class 6 SanDisk SD Card and tried installing the game to it, but it seems like the game has very bad loading issues now and I'm curious what could be affecting this. According to tech sources I've read, the SD Card's interface on this machine should be substantially faster than the USB Drive I was using before but that's not what I'm experiencing. Is it possible it's because the SD Card is running in FAT32 as opposed to NTFS or exFAT? Just trying to figure out how to make this work, I don't have enough hard drive space on my machine for both Windows 7 AND SWTOR. Thanks
