That is actually one of the main reasons I don't jump on the PTS or do beta testing in general anymore. More often than not I end up leaving the games once testing is over. Not that the beta was bad or anything, but I no longer have the impetus to continue playing.

Just a suggestion. That being said, if there aren't even 16 good players on this server I'm curious why you stick around? I'm not trying to rile you up, I'm genuinely curious. I agree with Legend though, doing ranked on the PTS doesn't really seem like it is worth the time and effort.

Shout out to the Physics pre-made and the 3 pugs in a Voidstar match last night. Round 2 started pretty bad with no one watching as the first two door sets were armed, but well done all on holding the pubs off the laser barrier before the last set of doors giving us the win! I've never seen those barriers stand for so long. It must have been 3 min or so before they killed enough of us to get them down.

Personally I think PVP has been crap this last week. Most of the people I pvp with are all on the PTS, so if I actually get into a ranked group I count myself lucky if I can scrounge up at least 4 medals. Unranked isn't much better. I don't know if there has been an influx of people who haven't pvp'ed before, or I'm just having bad luck with the queues, but I haven't had to explain the concept of the different maps this often since they all first came out.

Shout-out to people who don't complain about being attacked in the pvp zone of ilum, or when flagged elsewhere.

I've only seen someone outside the gate pre-game in Novare once. They were just doing the usual pre-game jumping around when their toon started sliding through the gate. They were nice enough to wait for the game to start before moving though.

Whoa, calm down there. I'm just saying there is no benefit or purpose to pvp there. Same as OD. Hell, have kills drop cash, give minor amounts of Gree rep, something. If you are looking for purposeless pvp reroll on a pvp server where you can gank people to your heart's content.

Oh, I should add what I do like about this event: The changes to the environment are incredible. The Gray Secant is wicked to see hovering over the Northern part of the valley. The weekly rep cap isn't that big of a deal to me. It will keep me coming back rather than burning through it as fast as I can. I like the ffa pvp zone (not the quests obviously) as a concept. Limiting groups to 4 and making everyone else a potential threat I think is great. It will make 1v1, 2v2,... tourneys a lot easier to do. Especially since you won't have to gquit to do anything bigger than a duel against guildies.

The problem isn't the community in my opinion. The problem is with the fact that there is absolutely no incentive to pvp in this area. It is in everyone's best interest to just stand in line to charge the pylon. You get 100 wz coms for doing a pve quest in a pvp zone. Killing other players doesn't give you coms, it doesn't give you valor like it did on Monday, it doesn't really count toward anything. All it does is make completing the quest take longer. As someone who loves pvp I don't care about pvp'ing in this event. I'll get coms, valor, and cash in a much shorter time if I do wz's.

I've been experiencing a lot of lag lately as well. I mostly pvp, so it has all happened in wz's. I can't say for sure it was hacking. Most of the time it is random, but there was one huttball match I was in last night where the lag spiked every time I got near the goal line as the ball carrier. Next thing I know I'm dead. Correlation isn't causation, but still annoying.

Pretty much any wz where one team is heavy with healers. Doorstar being by far the worst.

If I can get in some rwz groups I'll try to bring my jugg.

Well, except for Ancient Hypergates and Elite War Hero gear 1.5 months ago, but yeah they never give us new pvp content.
