I have now created a 2nd group for this same purpose and it will be on Imperial side. We are going to be running 7-9:30 pm eastern time on Saturdays. I have filled most of the group from in Guild to start but currently have room for either 1 tank and 1 dps or 2 tanks. One other update, the people who have graduated from this group are currently all on weekly HM teams and doing great.

Just hopping in here to back up what is possible with 216 gear. At 216 with 1-2 220 pieces I was able to hit over 6k dps for a 1.5 mil parse on only reading Hayete's guide. If you read it in detail the rotation is a perfect loop with some minor substitutions. (for example dispatch proc in the opener's precision window but not in subsequent ones until execute range). That said if you focus on replicating the rotation exactly your zen/frenzy will proc at the exact same place in the rotation every time and everything just falls into place. I garuntee if you read back through the guide more thoroughly you can attain the numbers he says are possible with 216 gear. I am currently sitting at 6400 for a 1.5 mill parse and have never even had him give me direct pointers on what to improve. The guide speaks for itself.

I have had a person graduate from this group and is going to be moving to a HM raid team. There are 2 spots open to a Healer, DPS or Tank.

The guild that I am in TAW (The Art of War) could be a good fit for what you are looking for. We have a number of raid teams ranging from story mode only groups to Nightmare progression groups. The biggest advantage we have as a guild is that we have expert level players who are dedicated to helping others learn. We have a few of the top parsing dps in the game as well as a dulfy guide writer. Since me and my co-leader of the group are flexible with roles the remaining slot can be DPS, Healer or Tank. At the moment there is more need for healers in the HM groups in case that sways anyone's decision.

Since 4.0 story mode operations have become more accessible to players, from this I have seen a gap between story mode raiders and hard mode raiders. It can be difficult to transition from story to hard with no clear path of progression. For this reason, I have started a group within the guild TAW with the purpose of training and preparing players for Hard mode progression in operations. We are looking for people who want to learn and grow, no matter what your current skill level is. The best thing that you can bring is a commitment to learn and willingness to spend time on improvement. My co-leader and I are both nightmare progression raiders and are experienced with nearly every class. We also have a number of members in guild that are in the top five of their class as well as the writers of Dulfy class guides so there is no shortage of resources. We will teach you how to manage your gear for the right stats, what to do in each fight and how to optimize your rotation/performance with 1 on 1 training every week. Our guild also has 6 weekly hard mode raid groups and I will maintain constant communication with the leaders of those groups to facilitate placement as players graduate from this group. Edit: I have had a couple people join the guild and have improved their performance greatly. One example is a Commando dps that has improved his dps in fight by about 1500 since he joined. Our team Golden Company is looking for a replacement for our sage healer who is going on to lead his own group. The group meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:30-11 pm eastern. Our guild <TAW> is relatively large with 8 weekly raid groups. It would be highly suggested to join the guild if you are interested in joining this raid team. We are a well organized and friendly guild that has a lot of fun. For skill level please be at a level where you can comfortably clear most of the HM raids, we are pushing the harder fights within HM so it does require some skill. A solid PVP guild to look into would be the Bowling leagues, (Republic and Imperial). They have a lot of members and are active. I am not part of that guild but have a few friends that have been long time members. I am raid focused at the moment so its not a good fit for me.

I am the PVP officer for the guild I'm in <Order of the Jedi Prophecy> and I have run multiple workshops where I will do research on the class/spec you play and work one on one for hours if wanted. I have played many classes and roles well in pvp, ive hit almost 800k healing on both a scoundrel and sorc. and my vanguard is the class that I am best at and I am now nothing more than slight white noise. The "real" pyro's you refer to are useless no matter how well you play the class. Skill may make you "ok" but on average will do about half the damage of other classes at the moment.

I have fought to help multiple classes that have been nerfed. I am taking action to help with overall balance. The community has not need for this kind of negativity. The point of all these posts is to get bioware to notice. I am not posting all this just to complain. Please, don't just come in here and bash.

I agree that tactics/AP deserves some attention. but I don't think it is right to condemn ANY spec. it should be possible to play every spec in some way. but with the changes the way they are pyro/assault is just as useless as tactics/ap and that shouldn't happen to either. As it stands any variation of a vanguard dps is completely useless for anything.

I couldn't agree more. with HIB being the only other heavy hit thermal detonator/ assault plastique should hit like a truck.

I agree that the class was overpowered pre 2.0 but now even the best players that are the elite of the server are always bottom of the lis regardless of what they do. I am definitely not asking to be overpowered again, just the ablity to at least play the class and not be completely useless

If you run a parser our burning tech damage used to account for aprox 25-30% of our total damage. now it is only about 15-20% and HIB adds up more over the course of a WZ. they cut its base damage. also they took half of thermal detonator/AP and tuned it into a dot making it no longer burst but another useless weak dot. i used to do 300k damage in my sleep in 1.7 and 750k in a good match. now at 55 i can barely hit 300k. until fixed vanguard/powertechs dont belong in any pvp or pve

I agree, but I would rather the class be fixed sooner rather than later. I WAS going to be able to lead my guild in ranked but now, i cant even do more than mediocre in reg 55. I have to retire my vanguard from pvp when a week ago i was competing with the server elite. I don't want this to be handled like the merc/mando and take almost a year of being broken.
