  1. I noticed i was getting 8 FPS in Civil War... Then i realized i had a single other program running on my PC and quickly shut it down shooting me up to a whopping 20 FPS.
  2. It's just been this way for so long and the entertainment industry in general fears change. Luckily Arena Net is answering this question and making us all feel real stupid for not thinking of it before...
  3. I used Roger Wilco in EQ raids back in 2000....Then again we raided on Rallos Zek where the real players were
  4. Goes for anybody except Sorcs/Assassins... because u know... they're special :/
  5. I never last longer than 3 months playing WoW either so i think Bioware hit their mark.
  6. Here comes the " WE DONT NEED ELITEST ADDONS RUINING OUR GAME, WE LIKE CLICKING EVERY SINGLE ONE OF OUR 25 REQUIRED ABILITIES EVERY FIGHT AND NOT KNOWING HOW MUCH THREAT OR DAMAGE WE'RE DOING" .... But before they do, i'll just say i agree with you.
  7. Instantly fix Huttball... Lockout class abilities when holding the ball and suddenly the game doesn't favor Jedi !
  8. When the Dev team has literally years of history in favoritism, and every imbalance that goes UNFIXED and UNACKNOWLEDGED is in favor of 1 side, speculation comes naturally.
  9. Is this really surprising to anybody?? its the same balance team that handled Brightwizards Online... i mean Warhammer online. in the 7 months that i played WAR they NEVER fixed how imbalance Order was and didnt even attempt to hide the favoritism, eventually everyone rerolled or quit. Isnt their lead designer a QA technician with 0 experience outside of the 2 MMO's hes now ruined???
  10. I don't think its because its instanced but because theres WAY to many zones, i've made a thread showing that an average server has between 1000-2500 players on it but those players are split between not only the leveling planets and fleet, but they're inside their own ships doing space missions, or on obscure space stations doing quests or inside personal quest areas nobody else can see them in, or in PvP or in Flash points or operations or docking hangers ETC ETC ETC... Its just to many different unique zones that players could be.
  11. With the intention of clearing up A LOT of misconceptions and assumptions over whether Bioware is raising or lower Population requirments per-status, and actually finding out what an average server with a listed status has on it i've compiled a small list of Population statistics from 3 Servers exhibiting the 3 major Status's. The method to collect the data was simply /who (not exactly rocket science) doing a Search of the CLASSES which would cover every player in the game regardless of their location. The Searchs were narrowed to 1-30, 31-49 and 50 depending on the population of a given Class. Dark Reaper - Standard Total pop = 994 Imperial Warrior - 9 Inquisitor - 15 Agent - 10 Bounty Hunter - 7 Juggernaut - 82 Marauder - 86 Assassin - 91 Sorcerer - 141 Operative - 69 Sniper - 51 Powertech - 40 Mercenary - 99 Total = 700 Republic Jedi Knight - 8 Consular - 8 Smuggler - 5 Trooper - 7 Guardian - 27 Sentinel - 42 Shadow - 41 Sage - 48 Scoundrel - 25 Gunslinger - 23 Vanguard - 22 Commando - 38 Total = 294 Krayt Dragon - Heavy Total Pop = 1912 Imperial Warrior - 18 Inquisitor - 17 Agent - 16 Bounty Hunter - 20 Juggernaut - 137 Marauder - 119 Assassin - 124 Sorcerer - 241 Operative - 89 Sniper - 63 Powertech - 97 Mercenary - 181 Total = 1122 Republic Jedi Knight - 14 Consular - 10 Smuggler - 14 Trooper - 12 Guardian - 102 Sentinel - 98 Shadow - 88 Sage - 136 Scoundrel - 63 Gunslinger - 62 Vanguard - 71 Commando - 120 Total = 790 Canderous Ordo - Very Heavy Total Pop = 2434 Imperial Warrior - 22 Inquisitor - 38 Agent - 22 Bounty Hunter - 32 Juggernaut - 152 Marauder - 135 Assassin - 140 Sorcerer - 251 Operative - 91 Sniper - 94 Powertech - 98 Mercenary - 192 Total = 1267 Republic Jedi Knight - 31 Consular - 36 Smuggler - 21 Trooper - 35 Guardian - 134 Sentinel - 150 Shadow - 99 Sage - 201 Scoundrel - 68 Gunslinger - 117 Vanguard - 110 Commando - 165 Total = 1167 This is meant only to represent TOTAL population of servers with a representative Status. Faction balance is obviously unique to every server. The individual class and faction numbers listed are only meant to show a an amount of evidence supporting the server population claims made.
  12. Its really unfortunate this is probably the REAL reason why.
  13. EQ and DAOC definitely didnt have ability bloat... I don't think AC2 was active long enough to even attempt ability bloat... pretty much just leaves WoW
  14. Agree EverQuest 1 had a limited "spell" bar of 8 as well i believe and DAOC just had a limited set of abilities in general... and look at MOBA's they only give u 4 abilities and item slot clickies but there is a ton of skill involved in those. Less is definitely more from my view point. Its why i begin to dislike the game the higher lvl my toons get. When it takes 20 hotkeys to "compete" and still have to click other abilities... i pretty much lose interest.
  15. That was a CLASS search, which includes everybody, anywhere.
  16. I just did a census of every class on the Standard server Dark Reaper on both factions. 1:00pm PST Tuesday Imperial Warrior - 9 Inquisitor - 15 Agent - 10 Bounty Hunter - 7 Juggernaut - 82 Marauder - 86 Assassin - 91 Sage - 141 Operative - 69 Sniper - 51 Powertech - 40 Mercenary - 99 Total = 700 Republic Jedi Knight - 8 Consular - 8 Smuggler - 5 Trooper - 7 Guardian - 27 Sentinel - 42 Shadow - 41 Sage - 48 Scoundrel - 25 Gunslinger - 23 Vanguard - 22 Commando - 38 Total = 294 Imperial = 700 Republic = 294 , Total Players on Dark Reaper Standard server = 994 players
  17. The Smuggler and Agent classes are the only classes have have 0 ability to mitigate ANY Tech or Force damage and Cover does absolutely nothing to help this issue. As it is, A Smuggler can hide behind a wall and still be hit by a bolt of lightning or a miniature rocket traveling directly parallel to them inside the side of said wall... which makes no sense from a physic's stand point and it just adds yet another weakness to what is already a terrible cover system. If Cover were to work as Line of Sight instead of 100% immunity to such and such it would cover the gambit of every ability attempted to be cast on someone out of LoS, and would give the defense that Smugglers and Agents are completely lacking now, it would give a reason to use cover beyond just being forced to use it because abilities are linked to it. *Cover would still not work from the sides and behind the smuggler/agent *Cover would require a delay of not casting before the LoS bonus would apply *Cover retains all other current bonuses. *Cover Screen (gunslinger/sniper) would remain unchanged. *Agents and Smugglers would feel as though they have a defense against Sorc Lightning and Tracer Missile spam!!! (which atm they completely lack) *Agents and Smugglers wouldn't feel like being in cover is a hindrance and instead would be a Highly valued asset! * IT MAKES SENSE.
  18. Lethality Ops' can out DPS pretty much anybody because of stim boost... just sayin.
  19. He Dots... HE STUNS.. OMG WHATS COMING NEXT???? ... oh the suspense.... :/ p.s i like the part where you have to deal with 0 resource management, must be nice...
  20. No other ranged class has a 100% uptime snare and they seem to manage. In fact Snipers and their counterparts dont even get a ranged stun yet they manage... Even if Snipers do spec into Lethality for a snare, it is still a 6 sec duration and 12 second CD.
  21. Assassin grabs ball, sprints over fire while immune to CC and scores... rinse repeat?
  22. In a PvE rotation i don't think anything out DPS's any of the Gunslinger spec's. Sorc has a lot more utility and pvp capability however.
  23. I want to see the video where you try to kill a BM Merc and they out heal your damage without going above 10 heat... :/ (im on a bitter losing streak)
  24. I'm just curious if anyone can try and justify the reason as to why Inquisitors Force Lightning has a slow effect attached to it? They already have Force Slow, which is equivalent to every other classes slow ability so why do they need another? If they are justified to have another, then why don't other classes have a slow built into their main abilities talent-free?? What reasons could there be that a Sorc should have Slow built into their main, no CD(talented) damaging ability, and a Sniper shouldn't as well? I just can't figure it out... why is it there? My argument would boil down to, Sorcerers and Assassins have enough CC already, and already have a Slowing ability that's equivalent to other classes, so the Slowing effect of Force Lightning should be removed.
