  1. and just because someone works at EA means they support SOPA as well? Believe me EA is far from the only big name in the ESA and EA is also easily one of the most pirated companies (anyone remember Spore? BF3 was also hugely pirated) EA isn't going to drop out of the ESA just because some people are getting fanatical about a bill that almost definitely won't pass. Plus EA is easy to pull the 'evil developer' card with (See also: Activision, Ubisoft)
  2. I don't know how you could claim GW2 has had VA before TOR, GW2 is definitely not even out yet. I love this, the hype for GW2 is insane. If you are going into GW2 and expecting it to be perfectly functional with content that is also perfectly functional rolling out consistently then you are going to be quite disappointed.
  3. two different teams. apples and oranges I'm looking forward to seeing the legacy system
  4. I've seen this arguement made a lot and it just isn't true. The only way for SWTOR to possibly catch up with WoW in terms of content and polish would be to triple or quadruple their programming staff. how can people think that an MMO that has been worked on for 7 years straight should be the same as a MMO fresh out of the box. This isn't a question of 'releasing too early' or 'technology has evolved since then' If you are looking at any new MMO and compare it to WoW in terms of polish and content you are going to be disappointed every single time!
  5. It's just much MUCH easier to balance a shooter than it is to balance any MMO especially because you don't have half the FPS crowd off PvEing There are way too many aspects of characters to get them perfectly balanced while remaining unique. This is why when I'm eager to PvP I'll play TF2. Giving better gear to better players is fundamentally flawed anyway, after all you wouldn't give high ranked players in Star Craft more starting resources or stronger units.
  6. I'm not leaving, I consider myself a casual PvPer but apparently I'm going to be the King of PvP from here on out. In the land of the blind the one eyed man is king. On-Topic: If I were to quit to play competitive PvP it would be TF2
  7. not true, I had a buddy run me through BT who was 10 levels higher than me and I was getting a little exp but nothing worth it. if they seriously need help with leveling I suppose you could help them complete group/heroic quests to get them the extra quest exp.
  8. this sounds like it's more meant to protect against software/macros that do 'farming' things such as sitting in one spot just to collect a node/chest when it spawns.
  9. what search? but yeah, the stock market is run on mob mentality and (sometimes) terrible guesses. NOT actual facts, just because some random guy who almost definitely doesn't even play the game thinks it's under preforming doesn't mean anything. EDIT: like magic it just appeared. Yay I can search again
  10. so the clever name 'Sith Happens' is exclusive to Imp side? I don't think so. Plus you must have stopped watching the video after that cause I distinctly remember seeing a blue lightsaber which means he's either repub or sith who went good side.
  11. hey everybody I'm no longer smoking! Tobacco companies are not going to get money from me. I am NOT going to pay for a product that gives me cancer, FIX THIS NOW. I hope you realize that no one cares if you stopped playing, just like you shouldn't care if people continue to play. different strokes for different folks but you don't need to shout it from a soapbox.
  12. that's fine all I'm saying is that I'd rather take a healer into my OPS group who wants to heal not one who just does it when he feels like doing it. and you should play your class differently or at least know how to, but respecing works for this. you shouldn't have to change your spec more than once a day at the most. And the idea of "switching specs for a certain fight/FP/OP and then switching back afterward" is where the problem seems to lie since it doubles the amount of respecs you will end up doing. dual spec isn't needed in my opinion
  13. I've been a healer since level 10 and have seen none of these problems... I don't think your arguement is very persuasive. I think a lot of people who want dual spec saw a class like the sorc and said "This class is great I can heal ops and the rest of the time DPS" where as I looked at the sorc and said "Hey this guy looks like the healer I'd want to be!" play the spec you want, not the spec you want and a backup spec just cause.
  14. logically at level 50 you'd have the widest range of players to play with, the same players who are excited about running a FP one day probably aren't going to be coming back in 3 days to run the FP again because they'll have outleveld it by then. Sith queues are fine, and I don't know why anyone cares about the 'overpopulation' aspect since you just complained that the republic had the exact opposite problem. and I assume that the reading you did was on these forums? yeah BW screwed up Illum but it wasn't "free epics for every sith" as some people are claiming it to be. just avoid the forums if you are too use to taking other peoples opinions as fact.
  15. this is clearly your first time on forums let me give you a little tip: 1) not having a point to your thread is easily the quickest way to get it locked. 2) reposting a thread because the last one got locked is also a good way to get your thread locked. 3) creating a thread to bait trolls/mods is never a good idea if you like keeping your threads open. so maybe now you can actually contribute to the community!
