  1. Yep, that about sums it up. Love that purple writing too Hopefully with Gamescon coming up and the press conference they'll address even a slight hint at what is in store for this class specifically. I don't think the other class forums have this much QQ going on that's actually necessary in order to fix a class. BTW, WTB a Disengage and all the other stuff the 37,000,000,000,000,000,000 postée's have asked for. (Let's call it necessary implications)
  2. This post is designated Primarily for DPS Mercenary Trees, with secondary claim to the Bodyguard tree, Familiar with all 3 specs 1. Mercenaries are perceived by others to be the easy target as they are not perceived to be a threat, in most any spec; with low survivability when targeted by 2 or more players/multiple enemy mobs (PVE). Cast time abilities on most of our core skills make us easy to counter, making mobility very low. 2. Mercenary is a toss up for me. While I have learned to play my Mercenary to its full potential, we lack the survivability that even ranged classes seem to have (Sorc/Sage Bubble, Op/GS Cover). We also aren't able to use skills that all BH's should be able to use (jet pack/grapple pull make sense in a story standpoint, else why would we carry them at all). Damage still feels weaker then most other classes, if only be a relatively small margin. Overall class improvement in these areas would be an asset. One solid recommendation from an "honest" BH Merc: Allow us to use Stationary Cover (IE: broken wreckage strewn across a planet or the downed crates in Voidstar) to a lesser degree then Gunslingers (who must fully rely on the Cover mechanic itself and by doing so, gain a better benefit from it.) Maybe make stationary Cover destructible, so that it can't always be used, making BH's versatile, having to think about their next move more so then normal. We appreciate your hard work BW, but please fix our class.

  4. I'll agree with Soljin for the most part. Currently i'm sitting in Mostly WH gear (1900 aim (with stim), 1250 expertise) I can pump out very decent DPS in Pyro, but only if i'm trying quite hard. I played PuG RWZ's yesterday and we were dominating. Merc Pyro still suffers however due to the fact that our survivability is nerfed, and our ability to kite is considerably borked. However, with a competent team to back you up, not all is lost. Play with a competent set of players, bring healers and tanks and don't be foolish in thinking you can ball carry or node defend by yourself Just go with the pack, and hope to god you get healed. Otherwise, yeah, reroll, or learn to pillar hump... alot. And as T-Assassin would say "be sneaky", because if you're standing out in the open, you'll die, fast. If you stand away, at range, and don't draw too much attention, you'll do great.

In all honesty Choff, the changes didn't do much of anything. sure we got an "ok" damage boost, but it's not enough to resolve the fact that most classes can still drop us in 4 hits regardless of expertise amount (i'm exaggerating slightly here) I will agree however that the damage has definitely improved over 1.2, of course. All in all, if they don't get re-tuned hard, there's going to be plenty of unhappy players around.
  7. My 2 Cents Here. I actually only learned of the fact that you could grind out the Comms today from my guildie in game. I did Warzones for about 5 Hours, and am now just sitting on the threshhold of having my first piece (i am also not completely BM geared, went a little slack after hitting Valor 70 (before the patch)) So all in all, if you take the time to do it, the rewards far surpass the grind. If we take 3 to 1, i ground probably 13000 commendations today, Currently sitting at 1500 (perhaps a little higher) Ranked Warzone Commendations after about 6 PM Pacific (including dailies) Anyways, good luck out there with your PVP everyone!   8. Will there be any attempt to alternate between morning, day, evening and night, depending on the server time? If so, when would we see such a change? Because i'd love to be able to see Hoth during night time Aurora Borealis perhaps?

  11. For What It's Worth (And i did not go to Ilum today, for obvious reasons) Bioware is really gambling with this MMO. It's a first for them specifically and it's only a month old. There's bound to be plenty of bugs, regardless of how smooth it may or may not be. I agree that rollbacks should happen and those individual players should be reprimanded for the "exploit". That doesn't mean that the game won't be any good from here on out. It's just a shirt with wrinkles in it, so you have to give them time to iron them out. If problems like these pop up a year down the road, then we should all get angry because something'snot being done right and it's (at that point) fair to get angry and flare up at the developers. I for one will not be unsubscribing because this game is just to much fun overall to not do so. Thanks for reading.

  13. All we can do is wait. We have no control over Bioware's fixes and decisions, but like so many have said, it encourages you to try something new. Let's be patient and respectful that BW and LA came together to give us this game at all. Nice Early Xmas Present (Even if it has a few qwirks)
