Can you please clarify how the group experience bonus is awarding kill experience between a characters with a 0-2 level difference vs. a level difference of 5 or greater? What is the formula for how the experience is awarded? Thank you.

I am trying to clear this up once and for all. My fiancee and I both play SW:TOR and any time I ask him to help he only has characters at least five levels over my characters. I tell him that instead of getting the 400-800 experience per kill or if no rest bonus the 200-600 experience points I only get about 100-300 with rested experience or 60-100 with no rest bonus, that is kill experience... not mission experience. He says I am doing something wrong, but I have seen many guilds say the same thing, that if you are questing with a character more than 2 levels higher than you, you are draining your experience gain per kill. Would love a forum administrator to help clarify this for me. I am willing to be wrong. Again I kinda confirmed this on a level 37-38 grouped with a level 42 character.
