  1. Not going to try and argue with anyones maths but one thing I have noticed is that if I RE a stack of 5 Biochem Items (Green or Blue) I seem to always get a new recipe, which would back up the 20% chance, of course with other skills the items don't stack so I cannot directly compare but I know I have nowhere near the same level of success with my Artifice or synthweaving toons.
  2. This taken from the launches into hyperspace press release "Austin, Texas – December 7, 2011 – After successfully concluding one of the largest-ever Beta tests for an MMO, BioWare™, a Label of Electronic Arts (NASDAQ: ERTS), is now making final preparations for one of the biggest entertainment launches of the year as Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ reaches stores on December 20, 2011 in North America and on December 15th in Europe." Its the part in red that intrigues me, does this mean I can go get my pre-ordered copy tomorrow. I know I can't play yet unless I get the early access e-mail but at least I might be able to patch up ready for launch on the 20th. The Evil Blowfish
  3. thanks for the quick replies guess the race is on between my download speed and the release date (serioulsy its a 50/50 bet at this point in time). On a side not never have understood my poor download speed because my connection speed actually in-game is always superb (can only compare it to the mmo that must not be named tho). Anyways (hopefully) see you all launch day, I best get back to work.
  4. Let me start by saying I have pretty poor download speeds (avg 80-120kbps), I did play the beta for 1 weekend and that was enough to sate my curiosity especially as a new build came out a few days after and I couldn't stomach the 2-3 day download again. Now I pre-ordered quite early but haven't got my access e-mail yet so was not going to bother downloading the client but then a thought did occur to me. When I downloaded the beta I had to download the client (I think about 350mb), then it downloaded the game files (about 20gb) and then just when I thought I was done I think it downloaded another 7gb which I think was some kind of language pack. My question is this, if/when I install the game from my hardcopy is it going to contain the whole package (apart from any patches made after the hardcopy was made of course) or am I going to have to wait to download that 7gb part (probably missing the whole of launch day). Because if its the later then I may as well start downloading now anyway and at least be good to go on launch day. Any help / advice (other than get a better ISP) would be greatly appreciated The Evil Blowfish
