As said before you can farm the FP's for LS/DS so not really gimping yourself as you can max one eventually. The gear is Orange which unlike other gear can be modded more so then the other. Someone had linked a slave outfit, you could in theory if modded fight in that from when you get it till 50. I do know they stated they were looking at people that do middle of the road and I myself was thinking that. However looking at it being in tiers, I cannot fathom how you could gain tier 1 when you really are just balancing decisions. Hard to say.

To be honest leveling as any one thing for a time will seem tedious. With ST if you level with it you can tank properly and efficiently, as you will get to know your defensive abilities and where they are on your hot key set up. If you level as something else then at 50 decide to tank, you have no idea on what your abilities are, where on the bars they are and how to use them properly. You essentially are a liability until you learn. I'm just leveling as a PT/ST I can take more on and risk little.

Well do to the lack of hundreds upon hundreds of threads like this, I will have to guess that there is something on your side. Possibly a firewall? See if the problem was with BW then everyone would have this issue. So never rely on other games MS being low and that the problem cannot be on your end due to that. Check the router/modem and reboot, check the firewall to allow SWTOR to access easily, as well check with your isp to make sure there is nothing on their end vs yours. I know that some Isp's had difficulty with wow itself and some type of setting, until the ISP worked with BW to get it resolved.

so you are saying that customers are not smart enough to figure out that if they get in early access with 4 days left they can't figure out they won't get the 5 that was possible to get? There is nothing misleading about that at all. "Up" till 5 days would still apply, sure you won't get the 5 but the 1-4 are still viable as being up til.

Sigh why oh why. As BW has stated everyone will get in for early access, It is in no way their fault that you get in last or not. it is yours. They have always stated since Early access was announced that when you get in is determined on when you pre-order code was redeemed. Get over it already please.

We used to do this in EQ, note or record how much damage you do during fighting over a minute. Then add all them together and divide by how many you added together and there is your average dps. With This it is not 100% accurate as a addon but it is the best to do atm.

At this point in the game I would disagree out right. With people leveling up as well lack of funds I don't think that many people would be buying, give it a couple of months then yes. However, you can always send out companions so leveling up would be easy (and where the majority of the market existed in other MMO's). For any gathering the only marketable mats that i can see would be mats for level capped characters gear or upgrades. I could be way off on this but if you thought about it, it does make some sense.

I did not say what BW is doing is wrong in any way. I agree it does make it smoother in what they are doing. I just pointed the flaws in what they were saying about Rifts launch as they were full of it. There was nothing smooth at all.

I'll respectfully call you a Liar, Here is what happened in Rift first day. 8 hour queues no really 8 hours not an approximate. Servers did crash. people could no connect. people were getting disconnected people were getting lagged out in starting areas people were spending 5 -10 minutes to kill 6/2 creatures when it would normally take 2-3 min. Anyone else care to prove them wrong? Pretty easy to do. Edit: I did experience all those things. Was frustrating as heck.

The only one that cares about getting a server first is the person that got it. The rest of the server could care less. The day after a person hits level 50 will be remembered for not knowing their class story or actually playing their character properly for that matter. 2 weeks afterwards most people would be tasked to try to recall who that person was.

lol, game isn't officially released until the 20th, BW did not have to give out early access so at this point in time you are playing for free. So suck it up Buttercup.

One day and they barely covered a week and a half of code redemption. Yes I know this as mine was redeemed Aug 2. Although if they covered only that small number in as little as time seems that in 7 days early access they will cover 84 days which would mean up to October 14 if you redeemed your code you might be out of luck. Not ticked off or anything as I know I'll either get in tomorrow or Thursday at the latest, but figured I would put some numbers out there. If you are wondering where my math came from. 7 days early access One day invites covered about 12 days worth of code redemption. 7*12=84
