  1. You don't get it. Of course you can find a group, sometimes quickly, sometimes it takes a while. Massive (part of MMO) isn't just being able to get 3 people together for a flashpoint.
  2. I consider it mostly a single player game because: 1. BW designed the game to where it is completely quest based, so if you're on different quests than your buddy/guildies, they're better off just doing their own quests. There is no "grinding" of any sorts really where you can get with a group of guildies and just shoot the breeze grinding when you are sick of quests. 2. Instanced worlds. Even for guild members I have to change instances to do anything with them. Ridiculous. 3. No attempt what-so-ever from BW to encourage community building. No server forums, no guild functions, instancing/sharding, no chat bubbles, list goes on and on. Those are the reasons why this game feels mostly single-player TO ME.
  3. You can't be serious....I'm not even EU and I find this ridiculous. Requiring sleep? Working 24/48 hours? I don't even know how to respond to this....
  4. That would be pretty sweet, I thought it was a unique and neat idea in SWG.
  5. Naddist Rebel, getting error 1003 and can't log in.
  6. Your ideas would be about the only thing that would bring me back after my sub expires. Great, great ideas that would go a LONG ways to luring in/back those of us who are not happy with the extreme themepark-ness of this game.
  7. Multiplayer != MMO. Put your bicycle helmet back on before you hurt yourself.
  8. Coming from WoW, that isn't a good reference point for MMOs. WoW has helped ruin the future of MMOs, and we see what was formed because of Blizzard right here.
  9. Small group sizes Small, contained world Small range of classes/professions Crafting is next to useless, requires no effort I'm on a full server, seeing 15 people out in the world is not massive Guild functionality is non existant Sharding No player interdependency Those are things that this game is lacking that make a MMO.
  10. The reason why people are here complaining (as pertaining to the lack of MMO feel) is because BW had the biggest budget of all time, with the Star Wars name, with 7 years of development time, and all they managed to pump out was a dumbed down version of WoW. It is a HUGE disappointment, Blizzard and BW are monster companies and can set trends, but all they are doing is turning MMOs into garbage instant gratification games.
  11. This game is designed to be leveled mostly solo. Sure there are flashpoints and heroics that you can group up with a whole 3 other people....but it's clearly and purposefully designed for the people who don't traditionally like MMOs. Sharding, in a MMO, especially on a PvP server is the dumbest thing I've ever heard of.
  12. If you honestly can't tell the difference between the longest hallways in MMO history in this game from open worlds in others then there is nothing else to say really.
  13. Can't possibly be due to people not being happy with this game....nah, must be Blizzard! I don't want the MMO trend to be stupified like WoW and ToR.
  14. Nah, unfortunately there is no decent MMO on the market. I'm screwed, so yes I MAD.
  15. Done cancelled subscription already, first class baby! Deal with the fact that there are disgruntled people who expected a holy hell lot more out of this MMO than what was delivered. Most expensive multiplayer game in history!
  16. Oh mighty forum warrior white knight of BW, if you have nothing to add or discuss regarding the post you quoted then I'm assuming all 250ish of your posts are as intelligent and insightfull as this one was.
  17. I don't think you can do any upgrading without doing significant replacements. You need a new motherboard since you have a socket 939 (from 2004ish) and there are no CPUs to upgrade to. New motherboard means new RAM.
  18. Probably going to need more than just a vid card and processor. Gonne need a new cpu, to get a decent upgrade you'll need a new motherboard, which in turn means you'll need new RAM. Probably not what you want to hear, but your PC needs a significant makeover. EDIT: Actually, didn't know that cpu was a socket AM3. A new cpu and graphics card should do just fine.
  19. Over-under for someone to come in and say they are just swarming with other people? By swarming, they mean they've seen 15 people on the entire planet they are on.....
  20. ********. I've been gaming since Kings Quest 1, and have been played 5 MMOs (EQ, EQ2, SWG, WoW, Vanguard, Warhammer). I'm playing ToR because I didn't do enough research lol. Don't be mad because people expected more out of a Star Wars MMO with 7 years of development time and the biggest budget of all time. This game has less classes than WoW had at launch, crafting is a joke, group size is a joke, the entire game is designed to be a mostly single player game. I'm questioning if you have ever played a MMO before. I don't care what BW says, the worlds are not bigger than any of the MMO's I've played....at least they don't feel that way.
  21. 1. Less classes/professions than any other "big" MMOs ever made. 2. Smaller game world than most other MMOs ever made. 3. I see less people than actually running around questing, pvping, socializing than I ever did in SWG, WoW, EQ, etc. 4. There is no reason to be in a guild except to make chat convenient 5. The design of the game is to follow your given questline, there is little room for outside combat leveling other than heroics and flashpoints 6. No player driven economy 7. No player interdependency Seriously, have you ever played another MMO?
  22. I already explained what I meant. Don't be hating cause you can't read or understand simple explanations.
  23. It's the design, not specifically the exclusion of groups. The design of this game is to do your questline, and do side-quests along the way. It is so specific, that there is no point to group up, and it is actually a burden to do so, unless you need to do flashpoints. There have been other games where you could group up to grind, and at the same time hope to get some good loot, as a way to level.
