  1. Wow people are really unreasonable about this. Weather conditions in New England are not exactly dependent on the current weather. There will be snow on the roads, and ice, and all kinds of nonsense even if it doesnt snow again for the rest of the year.
  2. you joke, but it really is kinda messed up that this is happening. Im in early access and not only am I out 2 million credits because I bought into a system that i was told was working as intended and that there were no plans to change it (ability training), but I also cant complete the content due to the final mission being bugged beyond belief, and I cant even start on new characters... unless i want to dump more money down the drain training abilities... As a paying customer subscriber and a pre-order customer im pretty disappointed in the whole experience to be honest. Its sad because without those shortcomings actual content is excellent.
  3. This was posted just 2 days before they announced the changes... How can there be no plans to make changes to the system if its something that they have been discussing internally for a while now? After I read the above yellow post I went ahead with training my alts because I assumed that hey... its working as intended right? no plans for changing it? guess I better just bite the bullet and sink another 700,000 into training skills. not even a few hours after starting my second character on the expansion this gets announced. I imagine there are many other people with similar situations. I mean I definitely wont be playing any more characters through the expansion which sucks because we got early access, but cant really enjoy it without literally throwing credits away to do so now knowing that in a week those costs will be gone. Cant realistically do the content without vital ability training for some classes I cant believe the people defending this. I mean its fine if it doesnt effect you, or even if it just doesnt bother you, but pretending that people are just whining about a non issue is ridiculous. Early access was supposed to be a reward for pre paying for the expansion, not a punishment for wanting access to the content early. As I have said before, If i wanted to just throw credits away there are WAY better things I could have spent them on than, well, nothing apparently because thats what we've been dumping millions of credits into the past week. Ive been around since the launch of this game, and some things never change. Some people will defend the devs no matter what they do. This is a pretty clear cut disservice to players. It may not be the worst thing that has ever happened but at the very least its a pretty big inconvenience that comes only to people who paid for the expansion early. These are customers that should be rewarded for loyalty, but what we have gotten here is a chance to pay to beta test their expansion for them. We eat the cost and everyone else reaps the benefit of our "whining" about training costs. Seriously as much as I am relieved about this for the future, I was perfectly ok paying for the training as it was expected. It sucked that it was so expensive, but once again "working as intended" was fine with me. Changing it 2 days after saying it was working as intended with absolutely no plans to compensate the fans who were told to roll with an obviously broken system is pretty frustrating.
  4. I know its fake money that can be earned back by grinding dailies etc. But I have a baby and I work a full time job. to me credits represent real time that I have spent invested into this game, and I just saw hours of my life flushed away. I could have spent a million credits on something way cooler than nothing if I wanted to just blow them all at once.
  5. I dont think anyone really expects a full refund of credits for this, but SOMETHING would be nice. Some kind of recognition that the most die hard fans of the game essentially got shafted. People questioned the excessive training costs right out the gate and were told that they were working as intended and that there were no plans to change them... Now we are looking at millions of credits down the drain. They could easily implement something to try to offset this loss. Maybe increase credit rewards for early access players temporarily for certain dailies, or grant cartel coins, or sub time or literally anything lol. Im not going to be dramatic and say that this will cause me to unsub, but it definitely will make me think twice about what "early access" means in the future of this game. I burned through 2 thirds of my credits across all of my characters training just 2 of my 4 level 55 toons. Thats pretty brutal... As many have said, the change is a welcome one, but for many players (like me) the loss of a fair chunk of your credits to a system that was literally only days ago labeled "working as intended" stings more than a little and takes some of the high away from how good this expansion has been so far. I mean there have definitely been some bugs, but I have thoroughly enjoyed the content as a whole thus far.
  6. Kinda feel burnt as a returning player. I came back for this expansion after a 6 month break and only had about 2 million credits between all of my toons... spent more than half of that already on training. Its nice that i wont have to do it for my other toons, Im so glad i havent logged in on some of them yet to do that stuff... but for the few that I did do it on it really sucks. this is a great change for the game overall, but the timing was poor.
  7. Honestly you cant please everyone... If it wasnt the OP complaining about never being able to afford legacy perks it would be someone else complaining that it was all too easy to get, and now there is nothing to work toward... Fortunately for us here on the forums we will likely be seeing both types of complaints My 2 cents: A game like this should have some things that seem hard to reach, and require a time investment. This creates value for the features. You may not think you will ever have enough credits to buy each and every legacy unlock, but that makes the ones that you can afford more valuable to you because you have to make a choice and prioritize it over some other feature. I think that the prices could come down a little and i would be ok with it, but i do enjoy that money actually has value in this game.
  8. i find that i rarely have time to do more than one flashpoint in most sessions. I personally love to do them, but they are quite a time investment, and im not sure how well they compete with other activities in xp gain for the time invested.
  9. oh on the point of lightsabers... those are jedi weapons, and the knowledge of their creation, and how to maintain them seem to be pretty guarded. I have also been under the impression that wielding a lightsaber would be dangerous for someone not force sensitive... A force users heightened reflexes probably play a major factor in the reason why jedi are not known for self dismemberment...
  10. pretty much this, and also for cultural reasons. Some species come from planets that either have not developed blaster technology, and are either uncomfortable, untrained, or unwilling to use them. Also for the same reasons that we still have melee weapons today... they are (or can be) lighter, more quiet, ect. Blaster weapons also require power cells to run, which may or may not be expensive to those without military or underworld financial backing.
  11. ummmm... im pretty sure that he was just talking about the post in general, not praising it specifically because it came from a 1.2 tester. The post was an excellent example of proper feedback.
  12. Epic post. We need more stuff like this on the forums
  13. i have only ever had a max of 1.5 million credits so far. i spent them ripping mods out of things, buying gear on the trade network, getting vanity speeders, and completely bank-rolling an alt... Now typically i hover around 300,000 or so.
  14. im actually pretty sure thats how it works. I read that somewhere, looking for source.
