  1. OMG don't make me come out of my mom's basement! You won't like it I promise! How can you do this to me, Georg after all we've been through? 15 Fleet instances? Come on man. BTW I will return your Kylie Minogue CD as soon as I find it. I'm sure it's buried under one of these piles of unwashed cereal bowls and used kleenex. Oh yeah, can you tell me all about the class changes coming in 1.2? Thanks
  2. There's definately a way to make it work. I haven't thought it all the way through, but I'm not getting paid for that, lol. Use the pre-50 pvp balancing system in these "pvp story areas". The objective doesn't have to be to kill the other player either. It could be to click an abject, escort an npc, loot something... losing an encounter wouldn't have to mean mission failure. Could just mean less of a reward, or alternate story path.
  3. I was thinking in terms of lvl 50 pvp. I should have specified. If you want to make it work for all levels without open world pvp: in that same Smug vs BH example, have an instanced story area that allows any one smug and bh that each have the appropriate quest to enter and bring companions or friends if they want. I think it would be awesome to put these kinds of story areas in an open PVP area (which may not currently exist). For example, this type of quest would give me a reason to go to the open PVP area on tatooine...
  4. PVP feels like a separate game to me. I don't go to other planets anymore. All the awesome storytelling, voice-acting, and companion involvement is absent. We need to make use of this game's storytelling chops in PVP. How about intersecting flashpoints that include a WZ type battle that affects the course of the mission? How about class specific PVP dailies/weeklies that take us to open world PVP areas on planets other than Ilum? example: Smuggler picks up a daily on Tatooine that requires him to transport some cargo to Hutta... Meanwhile, a Bounty Hunter on Nar Shadda picks up a daily which requires him to intercept a smuggler who is attempting to transport cargo to Hutta... They could each be sent to the same gangster's hideout (story area?) located in a open PVP area on Hutta where they battle it out. I'd like to be able to grab a few PVP quests, form a group, and head out. Planet hopping and completing each other's quests (and earning social points) while fighting in spontaneous PVP skirmishes that break out between Imps and Pubs trying to complete their dailies/weeklies. 40 V 40 on Ilum is alright, but we need more options. Smaller scale battles in various other locations would add some much needed variety. Anyways, these are just a few thoughts. I'm sure I need to switch to a PVP server as soon as possible. I know I'm not the only one with these kinds of ideas. So if you got em, let's hear em. Maybe the Devs will take notice.
  5. 1. Opportunity for earning medals is not balanced. It's been said 1000 times already, but I get 9 medals, my healer gets 3. 2. Medals are not objective based. Do you really want to reward people who aren't helping the team win? 3. People would more more willing to accept a loss if their wins counted towards their daily/weekly more than half the time. I could come up with more, but you get the idea. Nice try though.
  6. @Daleh War Leader armor is worthless! You might as well be wearing a dress. Don't waste your comm's.
  7. Maybe I'm late to the party on this one, but I'd just like to say a few words... I had fun leveling to 50 as a Jug tank. I did feel a bit gimped at times while solo, but I managed. When I got to 50 and started to PVP, it was like I was running around warzones butt naked with a feather duster in my hand. I respecced to a DPS/tank hybrid build, and decided not to take any more pvp gear with tank stats. Then I found the following post and it validated my decision. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=155034&highlight=pvp+tank+stats I want to be good at something... I picked a tank with the understanding that I'd sacrifice some offensive ability to be good at defense. Instead I had the same defensive ability as everyone else but with no damage output whatsoever. Anyway I enjoy my new build. Still don't do much damage, but I got a lil burst. I'm sure it'll just get better with gear. It's a shame I had to abandon my initial spec though, and I still feel like I'm at a disadvantage to other classes. Just makes it that much sweeter when I fold you up like an old wallet! 1. Buff my Juggs 2. Give PVP'ers incentive to heal my ***. 3. Come up with something better than BOXES on Illum 4. Let me trade in duplicate PVP items 5. QUIT RUINING MY LIFE! y'all have a nice day
