  1. As a 400/400 level 50 cybertech, so far I've found almost no demand for the level 50 mods. I see about 20 in the AH but they are never bought, why would you, when you get better from ilum dailies, or you can just take them out of the t1/pvp gear for 20k a pop? The only parts I'm able to actually make money on are the augments, earpieces and the ship stuff. Luckily I had a t2 columi ear piece schematic drop in EV which is bind on equip, so soon as I get myself some alien data cubes from hard mode, I should be able to start making some nice money, specially as so far I've not seen a level 50 ear piece on the AH
  2. It's not that your not allowed to complain, is that most of the people that are complaining are, either: 1. complaining about issues that are being worked on, being fixed or are being looked into by bioware, but they don't have the patience to wait. 2. Some people are far to aggressive with their attitude and the way the present their opinions, instead of constructive criticism they flame for several pages, calling everyone who opposes or tells them to wait idiots etc. This game definitely has it's flaws, no doubt about it, but NO GAME IN THE WORLD is released without faults. They had some oversights, with no rolling functions, no combat log, which really are essential in an MMO (more so than anything else in my opinion). The combat is laggy but still playable. The reason I don't agree with a lot of the flaming, is because guilds are perfectly able to do the end-game raids, with the games current functions. If you can't clear the end bosses because you need mods to help you, your fail end of story. Most of the things I want in this game, bioware has said they are working on. Once they sort out the FPS issues and the combat latency issue (which is still playable) the game will obviously be a lot better to play, but they can't fix this **** NOW, it's not like they're magical beings who can pull thousands of hours of coding out of their asses to fix all the issues in the blink of an eye. Also the game really isn't that expensive, if you can't afford £8.99 a month without batting an eye lid, your doing something wrong. I would rather invest that money into an emerging game that has the potential to be really special, than invest it in pandas.
  3. I'm confused, what FPS issues are people having? Probably should read the forums more, but yea, I've not had an FPS issues at all playing this game, I've had it crash to desktop a couple of times loading out of directive 7, but that's about it. I also have 3ds max and zbrush open in the background with about 20 chrome tabs, music player etc etc, so it's not like I'm dedicating my PC towards the game. No one in my guild either has had any FPS issues. Personally I want a combat log asap, so raiding will be more productive and we can kick fails from the guild But I know that will take a while to produce Also kudos to the big guy for writing this article, as obviously people are complaining about a lot of bugs, but really this game is as smooth as butter compared to some of the MMOs I've played in recent years, COUGH AoC COUGH.
  4. I've loved every part of the game so far, it's only now that I'm at end-game and building up a guild ready for doing nightmare eternity vault that the games lacking a bit of substance, mainly because the hard modes are designed for pugs, I would love a harder setting for more functional groups. This game is definitely not like AoC and tortarge. If you have so many issues with the game, sod off for 6 months and come back when most of this stuff is added/improved. The game has enough content and gear to keep me going, specially with crafting, at least until we start farming 16 man nightmare mode in the coming weeks. They need to sort out ilum, that's my only gripe, because not fighting and farming a point peacefully kind of takes away the whole point of the planet. Oh and combat log, damage meters, rolling abilities, guild bank, ui customization. Luckily WoW has become so much of a laughing stock for me, that I'm willing to back this game and see it's progress develop because I have a huge amount of respect for Bioware and the game's they produce. I'm really looking forward to the next dungeon they bring out, as I loved the eternity vault's bosses.
  5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MF_lyepbAWQ&context=C313f89bADOEgsToPDskLovA0KBOTdACFw185AvTgc Link to my guild with a pug doing it. It does come down to a lot of luck, we missed one of the drops, but luckily we had pretty insane DPS. This video is only normal mode at the moment, we'll be doing hard mode in a few days when everyones recovered from alcohol posioning lol
  6. I would love damage meters, personally just to track my own damage, sure I can do it myself manually but a meter would be a billion times easier. I'd also like to be able to compare my rotations damage to others and to other classes rotations/dps. Dungeon finder would be a bad option right now in my opinion, but then that sort of thing was included for all the casual's in WoW, so I guess eventually bioware will have no option but to include something like it. Mod's are also a must, as a community knows what it wants, a lot of the time better than the company does. Why not allow us the tools to create the things we want, faster and most of the time better than they can, it frees them from the burden (or some of it, until they have to cater for the masses who don't know what a mod is). I understand why they don't want to, but ultimately I think this game wont survive without the ability to alter at least the UI how you want. I.E scale it, move the bars around, maybe even alter the graphics completely. I expect we'll see it eventually anyway, just not at release.
  7. It's because they are monitoring each wave for server stability, which means lots of admins and people around constantly to do that job. They have lives and families. Although I would have thought they could plan like 4 6 hour shift rotations, with everyone on call the moment something does go wrong. I agree with the way they are doing it, as it helps to stop one server filling in 5 seconds and it just crashing from the influx. But only doing 4-5 waves per day? Needs to be addressed. I pre-ordered on the 27th of July (because that's when I could from my vendor) and my RETAIL copy arrives tomorrow lol I'll have the physical copy of the game before I get into early access Pretty insane.... I can read the manual while I wait I guess.
  8. 4th wave only went out 37 minutes ago, 5th wave hasn't yet. They didn't merge them, they added a bonus wave.
