  1. Yeah, tried this mission yesterday and just flat out face planted everytime I attempted it. I had few issues with the walker on Voss though. So I blew up a few times, might have been bad pulls and forgetting to take out missile launchers. But yeah, this needs a fast fix as I'd like to continue playing through on my Agent to get to the point where I can do new stuff rather than skip it. Can we please get a post about workarounds or a time for a fix please?
  2. I can get the character select screen after about 2 minutes, then when I choose a character the load screen goes about 3/4 way then sticks. I've rebooted the router twice and shut the pc down and rebooted. I'm wondering if it's to do with ISP connections. Am with BT in the UK and to be honest, the whole connection has been slow as a bantha this morning. Hopefully it'll sort itself out in a little bit. Time to go make a cuppa.
  3. I have to say, my incentive to do this has now dropped like a stone, but fear not, the crates will appear on the cartel market for only 350 coins in a month so you can randomly pick up more stuff you don't want on a certain character. I'd definately have more incentive to do 8 new alts and yes, pay for the extra few slots I need, if the crates dropped for ALL characters doing the event. Otherwise, forget it. When the crates appear on the cartel market I guess they will also be BOP items so absolutely no incentive to buy them for a chance to finish off an armour set as you'll wind up with partial sets that are no use to you that you cannot sell, even to a vendor!! I'm a Veteran player who came back to the game in December and so far, enjoyed it, heck even enjoyed this, but I'm just going to concentrate on one character now, nothing apart from 2 to lvl 50 now interests me as there is no incentive to go any further.
  4. Hi From one of the minority of Roleplayers out there who has used these legacy emote packages with glee, being able to /e my way through countless descriptive texts of what we are doing with said item, going into a RP Sesh today and using one of the emotes, we are greeted with <standard Bioware emote text> which effectively binds the emotes into doing one standard thing. While all the rest are pretty standard, I think only the RPers bought those emote packages and having the freedom attached to them to use how we wanted was excellent. I don't even remember seeing a post saying that these were going to be updated or changed. So far the general feeling in the guild is they are terribly restrictive, now a waste of credits as the RPers freedom is gone. IF it is at all possible, can we please have the legacy emotes returned to their non standard emote text mode pre 1.3?? They are pretty much a wrong move for many RPers. Also, can we please have some more? Possibly a different /sit animation? It looks so blasted casual and doesn't look right at all. Can us RPers get some love in an update? We've waited six months for chairs to sit on and some new emotes and in one swift move you go an kill something we liked and used a lot.
  5. From the RPer perspective, when are we getting interactive seating?? Alsoif I may, can the Tython Jedi temple please get an upgrade with some more training rooms and sleeping quarters?
  6. I'll throw out a nod to the guilds trying to create a RP hub on Voss on Trask Ulgo EU server. We have a thriving community which has taken its fair share of knocks over the past few months with many "big guilds" simply giving up on the RP aspect of the game. There are a few guilds that are doing their bit to make it work and Voss nights are proving to be a real big draw. Republic side we have The Enclave of Tython and the Kestrel Minority and on the Imperial side we have The Imperial Inquisition, The Hands of Darkness, Sodalicium, The Blackscar Mercanaries and Poorly Coordinated Companions. We've got an organised "Guild Leaders / officers" community council that actively work together to pull this thing together and a working plotline unfolding. It's still in it's infancy and had a shake up recently but now we are all working and talking together to make this work for the entire server. So anyone thinking of an EU draw, Trask Ulgo is alive and well and building a really great community that works together.
  7. Aren't we adding to Lore by playing a game set in an expanding time period? No one seems to bat an eye at the state of Tatooine being ripe for Imperial take over, war on Corellia, the general state of the galaxy at large. The RP community seems to be mixed about this. If you can come up with a very good, sound reason for RPing one, then what's the problem? Obviously you're not going to be trained on Korriban and thought "nah, this is wrong, I've found the Lightside, I'll be Jedi instead." I've just accepted a sith pureblood into the RP guild I have. I was so anti the whole pureblood jedi thing I almost immediately rejected it, but one of my officers asked me a question. "Does the character meet all requirements of a good soild based RP character which is believeable and not "snowflaked" in anyway? Is the only reason you want to say no because it's pureblood?" When looking at it from that angle, why shouldn't a pureblood become Lore? Lore in the SW universe becomes Lore when people write it in official novels, comics and video games. Did anyone really complain when suddenly Chiss are galaxy wide known in this period yet in 3000+ years time when Thrawn appears people don't seem to really know much about him or his people. So a Republic soldier on an outer rim mission finds a colony of mixed races slaughtered by an unknown foe. Finds a Sith pureblood female dead but her infant child alive. Do you kill the child as it's pureblood or do you take it somewhere in the republic when it can be raised under republic laws, learn the jedi ways and not be indoctrinated by the Empire and follow the usual Sith pureblood upbringing. Surely that child would grow to maturity as knowing and understanding the ways of the republic and not suddenly go, no the empire way is right. That's not the guys background but its a way to make pureblood jedi fit. All it takes is a little time, thought and willingness to accept something new. I'm sure if one of the big star wars authors were to put that into a novel everyone would go - ok, its in this book it's lore. Just because it's a character option in a game doesn't mean we can't accept it. Just make it believeable and don't fudge in stupid ideas about it.
  8. Hi Gay Jedi on Trask Ulgo EU. Some good comments going on here and yeah just signing in to give a big smile to the community at large throughout the game. Have a nice guild, got a few gays, mostly breeders though but you know what, it's just a great group of people I enjoy RP with. Say hi if you want to, friend me, hate me, am on enjin as Crystarr. Have fun.
  9. So, lot of "I don't have a level 50 so I get no free time". Been round since Beta. Got one 50. Took me 2 months. Yeah I rolled alts. I deleted Alts that I didn't enjoy. I still managed to get to 50. When looking at it I thought, ok some people are going to moan like crazy about this. They always do, and people like me who sit there through the let downs, through the patches, through the forum wars are quite contentedly able to go - that other game was never like this at launch, why do people expect it to be like that at launch? Because people will always what they are used to and if its not there, well lets throw our teddys out of our prams and spit our dummies and go WAAAAAAAAAA as loudly as can proclaiming we have proudly been unsubbed for 20 days, 5o days 98 days. If you're unsubbed - why are you even here apart from Trolling? You are not part of the community and havent been for some time. Go away, shooo. Your words are meaningless as you don't play anymore. Personally I'd have gone with rewarding those people who have had a continuous account since launch and still got time on their account. That way all the long serving people get the thanks. At least it'd stop the quitters from whining about yet another thing they can't get. Good job bioware, My guild is pretty chuffed with this, apart of course from the people not at 50, but hey, always next time.
  10. As I have said on other such threads, keep up ya whining and you'll slip down the invite list. Play nice, wait your turn, stop crying such tasteless tears of anguish, go outside, get some fresh air then come back and go play another game. People like you don't deserve early access. Yeah five days early, if you get in tomorrow you got ya five days. These days have been a bonus. Be greatful and go download a life while you're waiting. People like you give gamers a bad name. /rant *goes back to patiently waiting and enjoying the bonus music cues*
  11. Well as your book spoiler ridden post for anyone who hasn't read them (shame on them) Spoilers People Maybe next time you'll put a spoiler warning up for those who don't have the benefit of having read any EU books. Plus you forgot the series after that where the Sith Return and hunt the Jedi.
  12. All in favour of the EU getting to operate on EU times. It would be extremely nice for it to happen and hopefully BW will look and offer a response to our general concerns. On a happier note I understand that there are larger and more invites going out today, hopefully more EU based guilds getting filled up. All in all, a very good topic by the OP (go slug go!!). Have fun out there people. See you on the forums or Luka Sene if I get in
