  1. Really? If you see a companion in fleet and meet them in your story, you know eventually that they will be your companion if you are the same class. That's a spoiler because it is based off the story. Same can't be said for gear or any of the other rubbish you mentioned. Thanks for playing
  2. There's no suggestion forum, so I'll stick it here. I'd like to see a change to only allow First companions and Ship droids on Fleet - or even make no companions summonable at all, just their character sheet for gear purchase purposes. The reason I say this is that I love the sudden realization the NPC you have been liaising with is a future companion; but the surprise can be spoiled somewhat when you've see a player running around with that companion at Fleet. As far as I can tell, there's no real reason to have companions on Fleet at all
  3. I find The Jekk'JekkTarr has pretty constant high population and it's reasonably easy to get groups. This is partly because it's the unofficial LBGT and Oceanic server though, so when true Oceanic servers are released, the population may disperse somewhat. The other problem is that the best times as far as peak population are when it's evening in Australia/New Zealand, which may not work so well for US players

There should be three clear delineations, so that a team working together has an even spread of points. Those that clear the area should get kill points Those that cap the objective should get the Objective points Those that heal other players, should get a lot more medals than they are currently getting. That would promote playing your role, playing to win and working as a team Currently, unless you are farming kills, you are borked for points

I had a similar question regarding Voidstar. Last night, in one game, I defused one bomb, opened a bridge and a force field, and opened two doors with bombs (Stealth ftw!). Most of the rest of my time was spent healing. Overall I got 300 objective points and a measly 3 medals, while some others got 1500 obj points and up to 7 medals. I was glad we got the win, but I was a little surprised my contribution didn't seem to count for much on the scoreboard
  6. You may find it difficult to get MVP unless you're a healer. A lot of players recognize the fact that healers generally get fewer medals than other roles if they are healing for most of the match, and thus vote for a healer to offset the discrepancy. Hopefully this will be addressed by BW soon so healers have a wider range of medal opportunities

    Need more healers

It's not about incentive to heal. We heal because it's necessary and it's fun, but that doesn't mean we should be comparatively penalized for doing our job If you want to advance your valor rank at the same pace as other roles, you are often faced with a choice of doing your primary task of keeping your team alive, or using crucial time and resources to do damage so you aren't miles behind on medals. Other classes get amply rewarded for doing their job, healers should too. EDIT: Either that or remove medals completely as they tend to encourage farming and bad decision making across all warzones
  8. I had almost exactly the same experience yesterday
  9. Knowing this, I'll make a point of always voting for the top healer. This needs a fix ASAP
  10. I'd actually really appreciate an answer, rather than having it turn into to an epeen/Class=OP thread. Do you need kills to do well in PvP, or can you get bigger rewards from CC/Heals alone?
  11. I rolled one because I gravitate towards healers, and SI has a healing style I am comfortable with, had nothing to do with OP considerations. I'm currently at lvl 27 So can you get by on healing and CC alone, because I would have thought I would get a little more reward for being where I needed to be, healing those that needed it and topping the meter in the process?

    PvP Healer love

I'm new to healing in PvP, and just had a cannon game on my Sorceror. At the end of the game I checked the charts, and I had easily topped the healing meters despite our loss, but I only got 2 copper shield things for my efforts. Do you HAVE to get kills to rank up quickly in this game, or am I missing something?
  13. It's completely disingenuous to say WoW has not introduced innovations, and smacks of tall poppy syndrome. I am however interested in why you think Instances are bad for MMOs? I think the main thing that SWTOR should look to WoW for is creating a living, breathing, persistent world that rewards exploration. There is almost no reason to go off the extremely linear beaten track in this game.
  14. I think a nice easy fix to aid immersion would be to put some windows around the place to convey the feeling of being in that city while you are walking around, rather than in bland corridors
