  1. ^^ this Im not sure if the engine can handle 20v 20 but Id like to see larger teams and larger maps. AV would be nice an open world wintergrasp/ echo base battle would be sweet
  2. Put it this way, during primetime JC, EH and Slands have abouyt 500-700+ lvl 60s on per faction Pot5 has 60. Even if Pot5 and Jungma merged they wouldnt even match EH, JC or SLands
  3. I cant speak for who is queuing but based on several checks a day, SL, EH and JC all have about the same number of lvl 60s online. SL is a little higher except has the worst ratio of pub to imp where as JC is almost 1:1 with EH not far behind. Ill take my chances on JC or EH most likely
  4. True, it isnt economy based, but I kinda just threw it in there along with the other possible improvements That was just brainstorming. I meant something in the spirit of 12x xp. It doesnt literally need to be 12x, it could be any number that makes sense, and for any amount of time, even just a weekend. Sure doesnt feel that way. Maybe it only took hours at launch when everyone was giving it a go. It might still take hours now, but must be spread out thin over weeks. It feels grindy as hell to me. It definitely feels gated. Lower the gate and more new people might play. Queues might get better and people could get more req/day and it might not feel so grindy. Again, Im just spitballin here. Cheaper upgrades wouldnt make alt ships so tedious. The token thing would be nice too. Our job is to say what we'd like, within reason. It's up to the devs to tweak it and get the logistics right.

  6. Your main points are pretty much what I just posted in my thread. I mustve missed this one.
  7. Id very much love to play more GSF, but the barrier for entry is too high to be worth it. It's fun, but I weigh everything as cost/ benefit. Im saying this not as a newcomer to Swtor Ive been playing since beta off and on. I cant get into GSF, which is a shame because I feel it has allot of potential that allot of people new and old are completely missing out on. Imo the costs for upgrading are too inflated compared to the time required. The time required is inflated even more because queues are so slow. This is driving people away before they even try. Im not saying I want anything handed to me. Ive always been the type of gamer to say nobody should have anything handed to them. Nothing should be made too easy. But this isnt a handout, it's getting a playable ship(not a maxed out ship) in reasonable time, and increasing GSF population for everyone. Nobody is playing the darned thing. That is what it comes down to for me. Above all else, I want more people to play, but they wont for reasons stated here. Slow queues are a symptom of something else. GSF needs some life breathed into it. People wont play because queues dont pop. Queues dont pop because nobody plays. Nobody plays because it's too much of a time-sink for little reward (or reward many dont care about, but that's another thread for someone else). Something needs to be done. Im sitting on two options here A: Hope for GSF pops and try and get a few matches in a day when I can get on. At this rate it'll probably be months of grinding unless queues explode. When that's all over, it still wont matter because Ill just be a guy with a cool ship and still no gsf pops. B: Just dont play GSF and save myself the futile investment. 3.3 PvP economy changes sound like a breath of fresh air. Less grinding more playing. Perhaps something similar would promote GSF action and lower queue times. Perhaps a better tutorial Perhaps legacy wide requisition Perhaps an event like 12x the requisition for GSF,. That should get allot of people to try it out and at least level up a ship or two in the process. Feel free to disagree
  8. I'd like to see a dev reply on this. PVP economy is getting an overhaul. Are we going to see GSF economy overhaul? Leveling up the ship parts is a huge entry barrier. I cant get past it, especially not with these queues
  9. yep big mistake. The servers arent exactly brimming with people to do it all anyway. Splitting us up is a big mistake. SO I have to make a guess whether most are queuing for warzones of Starfighter tonight and if I choose the wrong one well IM stuck in an empty queue while everyone else does the other thing.
  10. Thank you very much. Ill likely stay on Pot5 and try and find a guild with some Cajones to fight back. Ive briefly considered Bastion but Im kinda afraid of west coast server delay Im in St John's Newfoundland Which is the farthest East you can go in North America
  11. Thank you both So long as my server is healthy I dont really care what status is has. Now to stay on pot5 or switch to jung ma for pvp....
  12. Ive been gone for about a year and Im wondering are pot5 and jung ma really only standard pop. According to torstatus they havent broken into heavy pop in at least a month. I know shortly after launch they expanded server size to help with queue times and what as once considered heavy became standard, so the number of people online was similar but the server considered heavy standard because it could fit more overall. Did they do this again within the last year?
  13. Before I get to the question Id like to mention I am a PvPer at heart, Jedi Guardian Defense spec main, Huttballer, node Guard, Meat shield, Guarder, Taunts ALWAYS on cooldown, Door watcher, INC CALLER, and quite often top objective and protector. Id consider myself a very good pvp tank and an asset to my Faction. I dont roll over and die Ever. There is no "just let them win" or "lets switch phases the sith are here" And Id like to find some like minded players This is for Pot5 and Jung Ma players (mainly Pubs) - how strong and competent do you feel your PVP community is, IM a Pub player and last I played Sith outnumbered us a good 3:1 at least, Open world Pvp was dead apart from some random player made event or gree event that always ends up being 3:1 sith vs pub aoe spam. IN warzones there were a handful of competent pub players and if they werent online well...it took a while to get the weekly done. I may be asking for allot but: A- which population is biggest Jung ma or Pot5, torstatus says they are pretty much the same with Pot5 being a lil bigger, but by what margin I wonder? Thousands of people? dozens? B- hows the R vs E ratio on Pot5 and Jung Ma C- how alive are each servers PvP communities? IM looking for one with some backbone. IM kinda hoping if I did switch to Jung Ma maybe the RPness of it would entice more pubs to get off their asses and at least try and make a decent fight when our zones get trolled. Basically since the servers look to both be around the same size Im going to transfer/ or stay on the one with the better overall Pvp community. Sell me your server people P.s. I realize your responses will be mostly subjective, that's ok
  14. Here's a test, print each set, without holding a weapon, hide the class name, have someone try and tell you which class belongs with each set. Bet they cant. **** IM looking at them all right now with the names and I still cant tell what's what
  15. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=6141169#post6141169 MAde that thread right after pts. At the time if you were a good tank and dodged attacks while saber reflect was popped they wouldnt be bounced back. Ironically the better your defences the worse the skill was. Which is really bad considering the high tier tank talent increased the duration of Saber Reflect. If better defences makes those precious few seconds of SR worthless why not just put the talent in a dps tree?
  16. How about adding something good to the game that isnt for the CM for once. You dont have to milk everything you know?
  17. ' If by abused you mean "were made functional by" and "didnt have a working defense tree for a year and thus had to put the points elsewhere" then u r getting closer I dont know what u mean by "juggs QQing" Im clearly a guardian. And pointing out gamebreaking design flaws isnt QQ. As for sniper mobility yeah, they r, probably pointing it out, not complaining about snipers specifically. you gotta learn to contribute to forums better than this. I may have mentioned this in the op already but yeah the main issue is physics, not really roots or stuns as much. It's all situational sure some encounters the slight healing buff might be worth it others not so much. PVP is different too. It's just some major (redundant) utility if u want it, on top of the others As for trash u dont need the healing buff, trash does go fast yep, but see how fun it is removing stealth for opening, speed and resilliance from ur toolbar. Youll manage, but will it be enjoyable, and will it look r-tarded? A shadow cant tell a guardian how easy tanking is, like a sage cant tell a merc how easy healing or dps is They work differently for one, and also working classes have no place chiming in saying broken classes must be fine because the working class is ok therefore all else is well. It's a very selfish thing to assume
  18. See I wasnt saying HTL needed a nerf, or is OP, just that it is huge, and awesome but seems to be imbalanced when you examine the classes strengths with the other 2 tanks. I took the vanguards other abilities, mobility, control, range into account and it made me wonder why Troopers have this when they need it less than a class that must be in 4m range who has nothing similar It's all outlined there in the previous posts, there are pages of em. HTL plus Storm means you know that unless u are stunned you are making a huge advance and will most likely get ur job done Pop it in crunch time and you know ur storm wont be wasted and ull very very likely score, or interrupt a cap, which could mean a loss or a win Resilience and (root immune) force speed work in similar ways. You know that you will make it a great distance uninterupted to either score or interrupt a cap. Fear no fire trap. Top scaffold to goaline and nobody can stop you Period Guardian- You know that you likely wont interrupt a cap, and huttball is just a pain. Watch your tank buddies run past you "Hey Guardian isnt 2.0 grand? we have all the buffs you got, plus we still kept our toys and mobility , Woot. Why you so slow?" Leave it to the sages and gunslingers Get on scaffold, Hunker down, catch ball-speed boost and root immunity first fire pit, jump down, roll through fire pit+ auto hunker down- speed boost and root immune buff again- score It's hella fun Im not knocking sages or slingers, it's cool they can do more in huttball except heal/dps But carrying the ball was all we were good for
  19. Of course I use freezing force, I spam that mofo It's not so much the stuns that bother me. I can live with stuns, it's the phyics moves. It's the knockbakcs that really really really ruin my time What I mean by every leap being negated is, when I leap, thats it, thats my move, then Im rooted or stunned or pushed back every time without fail. Good luck stopping a cap as a guardian, it aint happening. It'd be nice to have a HTL for crunch time So theres my leap on CD, assuming IM being attacked (which I probably am not since I pose no threat and smart people dont attack mezzed targets) I may get to leap again in 9 seconds min and so what if I do? The same cycle is just gonna start again on my second leap. The speed boost would be nice if I wasnt slowed by its amount or more, rooted, or cc'd the whole time. The defense tree did get a nice boost though, Ill give em that. But Id like to be able to put those defenses to good use instead of them allowing me to watch my character be stunned a few seconds longer till death. Shields are finally viable, but that's not a point in our favor , Vanguards/shadows have buffed shields too + their immunities and toys.
  20. Protects from anything that isnt a hard stun or mez so roots, slows, physics, and grants a speed boost...few seconds? more like 6-10, 30 second CD, so u only have to put up with roots/physics for 20 seconds till u can use again.
  21. Not sure how you manage to move around. do u pvp? do u spec soresu? How has it gotten easier? a few seconds knocked off of leap if being focus fired? Who cares, every leap you make is just negated. 30% run speed if ur guard target is in range and being attacked? Whoopeee, to make up for the lack of leaps I assume. Doesnt really do much when you're rooted or stunned the whole time and everyone else is getting 50%+ speed boosts, stronger roots and 70% slows A HTL or Resilliance ability is definitely the least they could do If I were exaggerating this thread would not exist and all these other guardian/jugg tanks wouldnt be saying the same thing If I were exaggerating id probably still be subscribed
  22. After doing some more PVP....yeah...Im out. It has been real. Cant blindly support SWTOR anymore. Cant move at all. leap, cc'd, move an inch cc'd, full resolve pop CC break, rooted, try and sunder strike someone, cant catch up, taunt someone, toss lightsaber, resolve is gone, ccd,pop defensive cooldowns, survive another 2 seconds immobile, still only got off 1-2 actual moves and dead Respawn, no CD's this time, should be fun Both other tanks make better everything. Even Sages make better ball carriers, gunslingers make better call carriers Fire pits mean nothing to them, and u cant cc or root them from scafold till score if they do it right. It's madness I only have 4m range attacks, but I cant move, and yet everyone else has buffed escapes, buffed roots, cc immunities Been playing CE since early access....sad times, hope to see you all again in a few months if they fix anything by then. have abut 2 weeks of sub left, will try and keep thread alive
  23. Each planet is supposed ot have its own feel. Dynamtic weather and day/night would screw that up. they are big on story, and stories can be altered big time based on background. Imagine the scene with Romeo and Juliet talking in the middle of the day with people bustling everywhere instead of a starry night under the moon
