  1. GW2 is NOT an Asian MMO. ANET has their headquarters in Washington. The founders of ArenaNet were former employees of Blizzard Entertainment who played important roles in developing WoW... believe it or not. The game just got out of alpha and is already incredibly polished and fluid. The mere fact that you think it's an Asian mmo is proof that you have no idea what you're talking about. Please educate yourself Here Here Here and . Guild Wars was generally well-received by both the players and the media, earning (to date) a metacritic (media) score of 89, which is fairly high. They sold millions of copies world wide and they are finally trying their hand at a true mmo. (Guild Wars was not considered an MMO even by the developers). Guild Wars 1 was a HUGE success and they have an EXTREMELY talented team with veteran WoW developers at their helm ready to revolutionize the MMORPG genre. The fact that you even ask who ArenaNet is shows how little you know about the MMO genre.
  2. Seriously man? Did you really have to type all this if you had absolutely nothing worthwhile to do other than white knight a cause? If you don't "agree" with the basis behind the thread don't post in it period.
  3. Exactly this... in arcade games you can't do "bad" damage because all you have to do is hit your attack buttons and you're good. This is an mmo, people need to understand that.
  4. Wrong wrong wrong, Sage would probably be the most versatile IF they didn't suffer so greatly from broken resource regen.
  5. I'm a hardcore gamer in the truest sense... and I completely disagree with the OP. The game has to be generally easy if they want to make a lot of money and appeal to the masses... but you still need to put in hardcore content for the hardcore... Nevertheless, you cannot gear this game completely towards a hardcore audience. You will kill the game.
  6. It gets a lot better at level 50 for a Commando healer. Trust me, they are amazing.
  7. How do you think that can alleviate this... it seems like force is capped at 600.
  8. Yes I think this is pretty much the consensus. JK Tanks need a lot of help and Jedi Sage just needs a few touch ups in terms of maintaining their resources in long encounters.
  9. If by "pulling their weight" you mean hitting random buttons to activate spell animations then yes... I'm sure you can tell who is "pulling their weight."
  10. True, also the Sage resource issues during long fights need to be looked at as well.
  11. If you play well, you wont even know recount exists... unless of course you play with a terrible play who has no common sense... and the great thing about that is that you learn not to do any activities with that person the next time around.
  12. We need an LFG tool, even if they restrict it to your server only. But spamming channels for hours just to find a group is stupid.
  13. I can attest to pretty much everything you said, except I still found Trooper tanks to be the best/easiest to heal. Maybe I haven't come across a good Shadow tank yet.
  14. There are so many bad players in this thread terrified that they will be rejected due to their poor performance.
  15. I find resource management a bit of a setback with Consular healing when comparing them to the other healers. They have a lifetap like ability, but it's a little clunky and counter-intuitive.
  16. Yes, I find healing JK's to be less than ideal. It's not TERRIBLE... but compared to the other tanks, it's not nearly as easy.
  17. I would have to agree with you on the Trooper part. Healing a Trooper feels so much easier than healing a JK or Shadow tank. Trooper also seems to have better aggro. But that's just from my observation.
  18. Well yes, we know they are very effective at their jobs. But I wanted to know which did YOU personally find to be the smoothest both TANK and HEALER?
