  1. update made to address possible issue
  2. get to 50 using one of the following rule sets Iron man NO's No Advanced classes No PvP No crew skils Immortal NO's No green or higher Quality gear (Except for the reward weapon from start planet completion) No Advanced Classes No Crew Skills No PvP No Space Missions No Flash points No Groups No NEW spells after Level 10 ( you may upgrade spells learned upto level 10 as you advance to level 50 ) No Money Support from other toons (your own included) No use of GTN except to sell loot drops No upgrading companion's gear Transcended Complete the Immortal challenge while also completing ALL class and story quest on each planet before leaving (Heroics excluded) NOTE: as for med packs and stims if you can not buy it from a med droid you can not use it for Immortal and transcended Due to a issue continuing the class story and unlocking your ship no advanced class is now defined as no advanced class spells beyond level 10 and no use of talents. Currently the toon Kimpossible on Sith meditation sphere is doing the Immortal challenge. Anyone who wishes to attempt one of the challenges listed above please list the challenge attempting the toons name and the server attempting the challenge on.
  3. correct story mode EC should be tuned for columi geared players. as bioware stated story is for enjoyment. so being that story drops rakata it is logical and sane to agree that STORY mode Toth and Zorn need a bit of a nerf to bring them inline with the story mode player base will be geared in. for a challenge hard/nightmare modes are good

I'm all for hard fights however story mode Toth and Zorn are a bit over tuned for the target player base. the enrage is a bit tight at 4:30; However, 5:30 would be a better time for columi geared players. Currently all columi/rakata groups I have been in tend to hit the enrage timer at between 20% and 5%. The damage output is also bit high as well, I suggest a 15% to 20% nerf to all damage output. other then that I really love the fight and its a lot of fun and the mechanic keep you on your toes.
  5. correct and the ultimate factor is play style and system performance. slower system might want alacrity to make up for lag but that circumstance I can't test.

  7. as stated I will compile the data when the combat logging is made active in 1.2 until then its all theory.
  8. As a note some test I have been running show alacrity as being (=) to surge rating; However, I will need to wait for 1.2 and the addition of combat logging to confirm this.
  9. this is a starter guide for new sharpshooters that sums up what they need to know. for a detailed guide smack has a very very in depth sticky.
  10. Sharp Shooter -The Basics The Sharpshooter is a single target cast & channel based DPS spec. It is 1 of 3 DPS skill specs in the gunslinger advanced class. As a sharpshooter you will be bound to the gunslinger style of fighting from behind cover. - Stats Strength - this stat does not effect your spells. Presence - this stat increases the health and effectiveness of your companions. Aim - this stat grants only ranged bonus damage and ranges crit chance. you do not use this stat Cunning - this stat grants both ranged and tech damage and crit chance. this is your best stats. Endurance- this stat increases your effective health. Willpower- this stat does not effect your spells Expertise- this stat reduces player damage taken and increases damage dealt to players. - Secondary Stats Accuracy rating - this stat increases your chance to hit with attacks. Currently of little benefit. Critical rating - this stat increases your chance to make a critical hit. currently the best secondary. Surge rating - this stat increases your critical hit damage. currently second best secondary. alacrity rating - this stat reduces activation time of spell. good for players with latency issues. Power rating - this stat increases your ranged and tech bonus damage. currently third best secondary. - Skill spec http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#700bsrbdRsRgzZ0cZG.1 this spec is a good solo or Ops build that takes advantage of XS Freighter Flyby. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#700bsrbdMsRtzZbcZh.1 this spec is a Ops oriented build with 2 points free for you to place as you like. - Spells and rotation this section will cover the single target attack spells you will use as a sharpshooter in order of priority. -Flourish Shot - this spell reduces the targets armor by 20%. refresh as needed. -Vital shot - this spell places a damage over time effect in the target. refresh as needed. -Sabotage Charge- this spell places a explosive on the target. use on every cooldown. -Quickdraw - instant spell useable on target below 30% Health. use on every cooldown. -Speed Shots - this is a channeled spell of 3.0 sec. lowers Aimed shot cast when talented. -Aimed shot - this is a casted spell of 2.5 sec. use this spell following speed shots. -Trickshot - this spell is useable following Aimed shot or Charged burst. use on every cooldown. -Charged burst - this is a 1.5 sec. casted spell. use when in cover and all other spell are in cooldown. -Quick shot - instant spell. use this when you can't cover. this section will cover AOE attack spells you will use in order of priority. -XS freighter Flyby - this is a casted AOE spell. use on every cooldown. -thermal grenade - this is a instant AOE spell. use on every cooldown. -Sweeping Gunfire - this is a channeled SOE spell. use this when the first two are on cooldown. this section will cover the utility spells that relate to the sharpshooter. -Cover/take cover - these spells put you into cover allowing the use of many attacks and spells. -Hunker Down - you are immune to all controlling effects. required cover, last 20 sec. -Surrender - reduces your threat by a moderate amount. -Scrambling field - reduces the damage taken of friendlies with in 10 meters by 20%. -leg shot - target is immobile for 5 sec. damage after 2 sec. ends the effect. -Cool head - restores 50 energy over 3 sec. -rapid fire - finishes the cooldown on speed shot and the next speed shot has no cooldown. -dodge - chance to dodge melee and ranged attack increased by 100% for 3 sec. -defense screen - absorbs incomeing damage for 15 sec. -Pulse Detonator - knocks back close targets and pins then in place for 5 sec. damage at 2 sec end this. -Illegal Mods - Increases alacrity by 20% for 10 sec. I hope this helps new Sharpshooter Gunslingers get started and remember this is only a guide, feel free to experiment and find what play style and spec combo works for you.
  11. although its a fools, actually having this in game would be a funny time waster. Bio plz consider taking this April fools joke and make it real, also include an option to shoot the darned droid out the airlock every now and then.
  12. I am trying to find out where to get the key to open the chest with a quest symbol over it in bug town next to the elite colicoid. anyone figure this out?
  13. So we have kids saying a melee AC and a caster AC are the same? Last I checked pew pew did not = smack smack, nor does heavy armor 1-saber tank based AC = medium armor duel-saber pure DPS based AC.
