  1. Well, as for gunships: Its a little bit of different playstyle required from anyone who want to play this ship. What i noticed after playing cca 700 games with gunship. a. Dont afraid to max your ion cannon - its a greatest weapon in game if you want to support your team in fights - the energy which you drain, combined with the 6 second regen lock pretty much render unmoveable any ship if they rush at you - make any ship easy target for fighters/scouts and friendly GSes. b. Dont afraid to fight 3v1 4v1, just kill the GSes first, kite some and kill the chasers when they turn (I know it requires to play against subpar players, as fighting against these type of numbers usually means they will lose the other satellites against higher numbers). The hit and run taxx is great for GS as you can kill turrets / scouts pretty quickly and kill fighters with 2 ion + 2 slug shots while they moving towards you SLoooowwwly. c. as for playing against Gses as scout or fighter - DO NOT try to rush to any GS in straight lines, try to save your engine power for the last 15000 meters, that means move as quickly as possible and in zig-zag in the shooting zone. If you hope for the best and rush them in straight line they will shoot you in the face, i guarantee you. If you hope you can kill them while in you inside 4000 meters zone - you will be surprised as they can kill you aswell using the laser cannons. Try to catch them blindside, or try to outnumber them approaching them from 2 different side. GSes mostly useless in close quarters if you are inside 4000m as they turn like a tank - just dont try to face them. d. chasing GSes in high numbers not a good idea, even if you are pretty angry for the previous 1 shots. You can dedicate 1 scout to harass them, that makes them less effective, but dont try to chase 1 gs with 2-3 ppl. You'll lose other satellites against higher numbers, or even your satellite behind your back.

  3. The constant number of low level afkers with the 0-0-0-0 stats who are leveling their characters doing exactly nothing. Its not that fun playing a 8v6 while 2 players just standing in base.

  5. Well its clearly a problem, BUT. If you expect to capture a satellite guarded by 3 turret AND a gunship, no matter if hes using the bug or not, you'll get evaporated in seconds if the gunship is half decent. I dont want to use the L2P argument, just an advice. Try to close the gap between you and the satellite as fast as you can. If you lose all your engine power before you reach it, well thats a gg, and try again next time. I had a tons of kills because the ppl just stop before they reach cover, or try to move to the satellite slowly and steady while they are blasting the turrets - not a smart move.

  7. I dont really agree that you need 4 ranged for Brontes. We killed her yesterday with our usual 2 melee / 2 ranged setup. Just nuke the f2 melee fingers first and move onto the others. We did it with 2 Sentinels / Gunslinger / Commando setup, and it was quite easy. Special thanks to the Death and Taxes guild, i watched your stream guys, and it was quite informative on the 6 finger / hand phase, cheers for streaming it live!   9. For us there was some timer inconsistencies too. After the first aoe rockets we stacked up to aoe heal but the red circles didnt appeared for like 15 secs. After the first ones started popping the boss dropped the grenades on 2 tanks (which can be ofc) they started running out. And after this the boss just skipped the second aoe phase and just start to cast the 1 shot to kill aoe. We lost 2 melee dps in the process and called it a wipe. On the second try there was no problems tho.
  10. I usually dont complain about boss 'nerfs', but this was a completely idiotic nerf on the Dread Guards. We killed it weeks ago, but seeing this stat eof the boss and compare to the other version, its like not even the same fight anymore.. I can agree with the health pool nerf, only because the current unbalance of the dps classes (shadows/vanguards vs gunslingers/sentinels), but nerfing the damage output of the bosses just ridiculous. Why? I cant think a reason why they had to do this, the tank classes and heal classes are fine (maybe a shadow tanks are a bit weaker these days), you could kill the boss even with the most idiotic heal/tank compostitions. I know that Bioware wont buff back the boss, at least there isnt a precedent for that in MMO history, but please next time dont swing the nerf bat this wide and without reason on Nightmare bosses. its supposed to be harder than the joke state of the HM bosses.   12. Theres a key in your post mate: 'The more player to do a wipish failure.' Watching the 16 men guilds streaming the content just makes my eyes bleed. Theres always a 3-4 raider who makes the same mistakes, dying left and right, still most of the time they are able to kill the bosses. Thats just ridiculous. i Wouldnt go with this so called 'Hardcore' raiders to LI HM, not to Hard and nightmare operations for f sake. It always looks like that 12 ppl boosting another 4 through the content, without much wipes.
  13. 1. This whole topic is a storm in a puddle, as only 15-20 guilds doing 16 men raids Worldwide. Bioware should cancel alltogether the whole 16 men raiding. There isnt enough player to support 16 men raiding, not with the current player numbers. 2. Theres only 1 guild killed Kephess prenerf, so why is there a debate at all whos the world first in this irrelevant contest? The other 3 boss is a joke, comparing them, even mathematically, to Kephess is a joke. Gratz for FF for the kill guys, too bad i couldnt watch the stream last night as we were raiding that time.
  14. Dropping all of the classes Legacy perk on the gankers head while Unity is up - Priceless. Go do some PVE - explore every story what is the base of this game, and stop complaining. I did, and i love to destroy the idiots who think the lvl 40-49 players are easy pickings for a WH/EWH geared lvl 50's. Nothing like the feeling, when you kill them and roll on the floor laughing.

  16. I understand your logic, but 2 things you need to consider. 1. This isnt WoW where is the only measurement of the success is trying to get as high on the wowprogress list as you can. I dont see why we need this kind of measurement. I measure our success by beating MY expectations, and achieveing the kills while having fun. 2. The recruits you gain from your success mostly just not worth it. Our guild is a 8 men guild, and we always tried to limit our raiders number to as low (we never had more than 8 raiders) as we can, while trying to keep the members morale as high as we can. Its a friendly guild - we had some ups and downs, but luckily we never had to stop this high level raiding. We arent keeping our progress as kind of secret, as everyone uses the Warstalker title, but we arent believing that we need the same kind of E-peen as we used to in WoW. (Sorry about any grammar faults, this isnt ma native language)
  17. Thank for putting in the effort, i didnt want to offend you, just pointed out, that making a spot on list for the titles wont be easy 6 weeks after the first kills.
  18. Thats exactly the reason why we dont post our progress on the forums after we kill the bosses. Beating the content with friends should give you enough satisfaction to wait for the next content.
  19. Waay to late to start a Progression Thread for this imo. Congratulation if you cleared this in 2 hours and have a feel of urgency to share it with us, but most of the gulds that cleared it 6 weeks ago, probably dont have the required items to share it with you. I know we dont, still we cleared it back in november.
  20. ^^ this ^^ I personally agree with this, i couldnt give a less damn about the "first" lists. If you are able to beat the challenge within your personal expectations, its a pretty nice feeling.
  21. So basically you are saying that the 16 men are harder? Tell me, how many times did you actually wiped because of the unavoidable boss skills. Like Enrage and tank instagibs? And how many time did you wiped because of your raid members couldnt press the right keys, and dying in the avoidable abilities? SWTOR raiding is a joke either way, so bragging about kills and talking down the other difficulty just because you have more than braindead in your 16 men Ops, please.
