  1. I am simply disgusted that there isn't a different skin for this cartel item throne when used by pub toons. I never quite believed all the "devs only care for imps" talk until now. Are you guys gearing up to just get rid of republic faction support altogether?

  3. I think amnie just isn't familiar with the expression "we got some good... X" and is reading it too literally. It is quite a common expression where I am from and most certainly does NOT automatically translate into a negative statement about the majority of people.
  4. To be honest I am a bit pissed about the containment officer set and how it is timed for eligibility. I didn't get started on day one and since the final mission has two separate gear rewards I can't get both. As of this morning the newly infected quest is still locked to me. It should have automatically unlocked yesterday so I would have a chance to get the two last pieces if I wanted them. Otherwise they should have clearly stated "you will need to be on from day one/two in order to get everything" before they even launched it.
  5. Do Ilum or Belsavis dailies. Do space dailies. Learn a professions. Make money and buy better gear. These are things we have all had to do to get gear. Also, maybe you need to worry less about kills and more about objectives. I play tank and even I can do enough damage to interrupt those cappers.

  7. We are outnumbered 6 to 1 or so. Why wouldn't we want people to reroll republic? Or do you just not understand that sith have more same faction huttball? Republic rarely plays it.
  8. The only real advantage reps get is that we know the voidstar and alderaan maps a little better. Do you seriously win half of your huttball games? my side wins once in a blue moon, and usually because the sith have afkers lol.
  9. Many people are missing my point here. I am not saying huttball is a bad game. What I am saying is that hardcore pvpers tend to gravitate towards sith side. Given that, and presenting them with the opportunity to queue as often as they want, we are creating a population imbalance towards the sith side. And as another poster states, yes the sith then win more and get more rewards, which makes the server imbalance even worse. Even casuals on sith have an easier time gearing than hardcores on jedi side because of this. And this situation has only makes open world pvp even more imbalanced. Would sith still outnumber republic if this wasn't the case? Probably, but the pvp numbers would be closer and the gear gap would be closer. Even if Republic pvpers geared better and faster, they'd still be outnumbered in open world. The problem huttball was meant to address has been made worse.
  10. You get better commendations for better performance, you get better performance from being surrounded by better equipped and more capable teammates rather than getting rofl facestomped by a group of 50s when you have a bunch of 20s on your team. See where this leads?
  11. Republic often has queue on my server, sith rarely does. The gearing and leveling is not even remotely balanced and that spills out into open world in the most glaringly opbvious fashion.
  12. But the very fact that queues for sith would be "unbearable" is why sith pvpers would switch to republic and thus create server population balance, returning queue times to normal for both sides and maintaining balance between them.

  14. As we all know, huttball was designed to address server population imbalances so that overpopulation on one side would not lock players out of pvp. However, it has had the opposite effect of making population imbalance even worse. Hardcore pvpers want to pvp first and foremost, and they will go where the pvp is. Without huttball, sith pvpers would have been waiting around forever to queue into a warzone... that is, until word got out that "hey, if you go republic you can queue right away!". They switch factions, level up, and the population balances. What has happened now, however, is that those on the sith side (and it appears that sith outnumber republic on most if not all servers) can still queue pvp against other sith. So, instead of being coaxed away to the other faction they continue to grind pvp. So you have a set of hardcore pvpers grinding with each other and they all reach level cap that much faster, and that much sooner than the republic population. On top of that, they all start collecting level 50 gear. Now you have the hardcore pvp population pretty much in one faction, helping each other to level faster than the other side. If they had been forced to pvp level on pace with the other faction then sith would not be so OP; some of the more hardcore pvpers would have jumped faction, and those who stayed would not have leveled so much more quickly than their republic counterparts. Maybe not all servers are suffering from this imbalance, but huttball certainly contributed to those that are. tl;dr remove same faction huttball from pvp, and servers will start to balance out.

    A better method? We need A method period. it is totally out of hand, I regularly have 2 afkers in wzs and it is ridiculous. Report player is bugged and doesn't work.

    This more than any other issue is ruining pvp for me.
  18. It seems strange to me that this would work, since it means your system is going to the HDD for info instead of memory, but I will try it out and see if it works. Hopefully your OS would use your RAM until it needs more memory under extreme stress, so it might be that your system either needs more or simply faster RAM. I will check it out and see... I am also going to try disabling my pagefile completely for a while and see how that works too. Really system dependent, regardless.

  20. I agree with what you say, but these are not level 50s doing this... at least, not yet. If they go unstopped they will eventually reach level 50 though for sure.

I can't say how much they get for sitting through a full wz, but I can say that I have queued into warzones with less than 30 seconds left, accomplished nothing and still gotten @8000xp, @1400credits and @20 commendations. That's for about 20 seconds of trying to figure out wh here I can be useful and doing almost nothing before it ends.
  22. Yeah you are kicked if you don't leave the spawn area, that's not broken. These people are smart enough to go hide out of the way and contribute nothing to the wz while their team is outnumbered. It is getting out of control as more and more people learn of this exploit.

  24. I am so sick and tired of having a good quarter of my team sitting around outside of combat farming commendations, xp and credits. I can actually recognize the names of people who I know for a fact will just go hide somewhere and have zeros across the board for their stats every single time they are on my team. I bug and report these players, but the system should autotrack such stats and ban these people from wzs for a week minimum then give them a parole period where they need stats or they get banned for an increasingly long time. I should not have to police these griefers in my own time. The system as it is makes pvp teams a joke, ruins my gameplay experience and encourages farmers of all kinds. Leveling a character to 10 takes only a couple of hours and then the just farm farm farm in wzs. This needs to be stopped, it is ruining pvp for me. I don't mind losing a valiant effort, but gimping my team with dead weight and no way for us to get rid of them is ******** plain and simple. I don't mind bad players, even, as long as they are actually playing the game.
  25. I would be happy with 10 commendations for a kill at your level, minus 2 for every level below and plus 2 for every level above maxxed at 20 commendations. You can halve that and I will still be happier than I am now. I love open pvp but no one is doing it because there is no reward. I would do it all day at any level if I got even 1xp or credit for every 10 damage done and 20 taken.
