  1. I as well am having this issue. Have tried logging out and back in. No dice.
  2. Ty for your comments. I will try queuing for this instance again soon.
  3. This fight is very easy if you interrupt his special ability (collapse cave, or something like that). The problem is keeping an eye on his cast bar if you have to heal your companion -- which as a Sage I had to do because Qyzzen takes way too much damage. When I did this on my shadow, with Theran healing, it was an easy one-shot. It made all of my rage at the times I died on my sage feel cheap. As a shadow tank I was always on the boss, could interrupt his special ability, and did not need to rely on defensive cooldowns. I strenuously don't like this fight -- esp. that it is v. hard with one AC and v. easy with the other. YMMV
  4. So my sawbones healer almost completely columni geared, so I figured I should be able to heal LI HM with no problems. I was wrong. The group I ran with was 2 ranged dps, a shadow tank, and myself. Judging by health, everyone was columni geared or better. The tank had a few pieces of campaign gear. We one shot the robot boss. Have no problems with trash. But on Sav-Rak I cannot keep up with healing. We try grouping up for kolto, but the disease he spews out counteracts. Positioning I don's see anything particularly wrong, since the only person getting cleaved is the tank, and we're stacking up for the smashes with no problems. My problem is, as I said, I cannot keep up with the healing. I'm keeping pugnacity up at all times. Keeping upperhand up at all times. Keeping slow-release medpacs on everyone. Using kolto cloud whenever possible (especially during smash). And I'm both burning through energy and I'm unable to keep up. Is this a case of L2P, or is it something else? Is my smuggler under-geared? Are sawbones just not optimal for this fight? FWIW, I've tried cleansing the disease... but it doesn't seem to do anything. So I took it that it could not be cleansed. Am I wrong? Thanks in advance for your constructive replies.
  5. It's part of the smuggler story and it really doesn't take v. long since most of the deliveries are at or just outside the spaceports.
  6. 1. How do you think your Sniper spec is perceived by other classes? Not sure. 2. How do you perceive your own spec? It's a fun class -- I currently play marksman but have played other specs -- with some design issues. It really bothers me that the 31 point talent in marksman is a refresh on another ability? Really? It seems to show a real paucity of imagination. That a defining talent is just a refresher. Engineering sacrifices a ton of burst dps for aoe damage, which is fine, but makes it less fun (imo). I haven't played lethality in a while -- but there are a lot of dots to take care of, and in a situation like PvP where there are a ton of targets, it didn't really fit what I enjoy -- which is taking down targets with brutality, instead of slowly poisoning everyone.
  7. 1. How do you think your Assassin spec is perceived by other classes? Don't know. 2. How do you perceive your own spec? I have an assassin tank, and I have played a shadow tank. They're both exactly the same. I really like this class, and I enjoy playing it a lot, especially with some of the tweaks with 1.3 (I know the self-heal was nerfed, but so what). I don't have enough experience with group content with this character to comment on group tanking, but for solo play, a ton of fun and performs as advertised. On other characters I frequently run with shadow/assassin tanks, and they usually perform well.
  8. 1. How do you think your Sage spec is perceived by other classes? You're not heal-spec'd? 2. How do you perceive your own spec? I play a dps sage (telekinetics), and the damage output, especially in fights with a ramp up time, can be incredible. Even against geared tanks, even with the tanking buff, I can, although not as often, pull off of tanks. I really like the priority system behind selecting damage spells. When things are going well it can feel like jazz. Being able to off-heal in a pinch is awesome, and increases survivability. Since dots are important: being able to tell my dots on the boss from everyone else's is also important. Refreshing Weaken Mind too early is a wasted GCD... this is a quality of life issue that keeps popping up.
  9. 1. How do you think your Mercenary spec is perceived by other classes? Don't know. 2. How do you perceive your own spec? I am leveling up my Merc, level 19 at the moment, so it's hard for me to see the end-picture. Right now I'm just starting to get some key low-level talents and some fun abilities. The AOE in this class is great fun. So... so far so good.
  10. 1. How do you think your Powertech spec is perceived by other classes? Don't know and don't care. 2. How do you perceive your own spec? I have played a powertech tank and, to no surprise, it's just like a trooper vanguard tank: simple, brutal, fun, and efficient. I haven't played in the other trees, but as tank, lots of fun.
  11. 1. How do you think your Vanguard spec is perceived by other classes? Don't know and don't care. 2. How do you perceive your own spec? My trooper is shield-spec'd and it is a simple, brutal, efficient, fun tank. Although resource management is important, it's not quite as inane as the guardian tanks. There are tools to do the job. And for the most part the tools are fun to use.
  12. 1. How do you think your Guardian spec is perceived by other classes? Don't know. 2. How do you perceive your own spec? My Guardian is tank spec'd. It's fine. It's exactly what I was expecting, having played warriors in WoW for many years. I have not played my guardian much since 1.3, but I do find its implementation of push-pull game play (build focus to expend focus) a but cumbersome. AOE tanking is also a bit of a pain. No real deficiencies but it could be tweaked.
  13. 1. How do you think your Marauder spec is perceived by other classes? I don't know. 2. How do you perceive your own spec? I play a carnage spec'd marauder and I absolutely love it. I don't play it enough, but then there are other classes I prefer to play. I like the trade off of strengths and weaknesses that the marauder has, and the visceral slash-slash-slash feel that comes with this style of play.
  14. 1. How do you think your Scoundrel spec is perceived by other classes? I don't really know. 2. How do you perceive your own spec? I play a sawbones scoundrel. While I enjoy playing it... the playstyle isn't versatile because it is too hung up on resource management. The resource management is a hinderance when it comes to 'oh crap everyone's taking damage' moments. My smuggler is almost completely columni geared and I have severe severe problems on Sav-rak in LI HM. This is not to say that I don't enjoy the playstyle. But battling a dwindling resource bar, plus maintaining upper hand, while dealing with hectic, every diminishing health bars everywhere makes me think that something is missing. There are times when it feels fine. But there are times when it feels like I'm just dealing with bars -- ever the bane of a healing spec.
  15. ^^^ Totally agree with this. The changes to the hotbars actually make it difficult to look at the screen. Not fun. And not good.
