  1. I don't use this spec, but from what I've been able to piece together, it looks like there's more of a priority system than a set rotation. Death Field when it's off CD Maul when Expose Weakness procs Thrash to build Induction charges Shock at 2 Induction charges Discharge at 3 or more stacks of Static Charges Anyone can feel free to correct me on this.
  2. You take what you have, and take what you are given, and try to make the best of it. That time, we were outplayed, so we lost. It happens. Didn't stop us from queuing again immediately after that.
  3. Probably already been done, but if you want to get PvP groups going, but aren't interested in merging guilds to do so, set up a custom PvP channel for people to use.
  4. His signature says "Elite Warlord Mercenary". Does that sound like a Republic player to you?
  5. Physics will be more than happy to introduce themselves to the newest members of the Shadowlands community. See you in the Warzones!
  6. Text for Lightning Recovery is now: Increases the amount of Force recovered by Lightning Reflexes by 1%/2%. In addition, when you shield, parry, or deflect an attack, the active cooldown of Force Shroud is reduced by 0.5/1 second. This effect cannot occur more than once a second.
  7. The tooltip for Recklessness reads, "Each time a direct Force ability critically hits or you activate Force Lightning, you lose 1 charge." Perhaps each hit of Wither (and Discharge, by extension) counts as a "direct Force ability"?
  8. Guess I just glanced over that part. 50%/100% is what I'd imagine they'd put there.
  9. It sounds like Lightning Recovery is still 2 points, you just need to put 2 points in Lightning Reflexes to unlock it. Lightning Reflexes has always been 1% Force recovery on shield/parry/deflect and 2% defense increase per point.
  10. If you haven't upgraded your lightsaber and focus to War Hero yet, I would say do that first. Then look at the Battlemaster pieces you have left to upgrade and find the War Hero pieces that would give you the biggest boost in stats.
  11. I think the people who are bent out of shape are the ones who are a little disappointed at BioWare's decision to do this for people who were forced onto a new server, most likely because they weren't even playing the game, and not for people who voluntarily moved almost 3 months ago.
  12. Dark Charge -- not to be confused with Dark Ward, which increases your shield chance by 15% -- should absolutely be used for Darkness PvP.
  13. I've been 31/0/10 (with Dark Ward, for the rare instance I tank PvE) for the longest time, and I decided to give 23/1/17 a go for a few unranked matches last night. I think I'd need to spend more time using it to get everything down pat, but here are my thoughts from the time I did have. First, I think it's clumsy to have to target the ground in order to use Death Field, versus how Wither hits my selected target and spreads out from there. Yes, the damage difference between Death Field and Wither is noticeable, but so is not having the slow associated with Wither. A 6 second, single-target slow with a 15 second cooldown just isn't good enough. The range difference between Death Field and Wither is a big thing, though, and having Death Field at my disposal allowed me to perform multiple last-second interruptions in Voidstar. I can't say that I'm very fond of Maul, though, and after many months of not having to worry about whether I was behind someone to use an attack, trying to do it before Duplicity faded was tough for me. It would've been nice to have some sort of visual cue to tell me that Duplicity had procced. Finally, the instant cast Whirlwind is a great thing, too. Having it was the difference between a cap and an interrupt on more than one occasion. Since I use it as basically a last resort in my normal spec (long cast time, interruptible), I know I didn't use it to its full potential as a hybrid. I think if I treat it like a third stun, I'd use it more often. Ultimately, I'm going to stick with 31/0/10, mostly because I've already had so much success with it, but there's a lot to like about 23/1/17. It really just comes down to what you're most comfortable playing. Edit: Yes, it's fine to prioritize dps stats over tank stats even if you use a majority-Darkness spec.
  14. Let's just be clear here... there are 3 different "mods" in each armor piece: Armoring Modification Enhancement Which of these 3 actually unlocks the set bonus?
  15. Get the hilt you can buy with Daily Commendations (Advanced Resolve Hilt 23). The damage and Force Power is equivalent to the Centurion's saber.
  16. I'm wondering about your choice of 2nd tier Darkness talents. Since we're switching out the tanking mods/enhancements for DPS ones, wouldn't having 9% increased damage on Dark Charge be preferable to 3% more Endurance? Or is this just one of those personal preferences?
  17. That's what he's saying. Static Charges affects the damage done by Discharge, not Surging Charge.
  18. Yep, that's just what this game needs not 2 weeks from launch: exclusion because you chose the "wrong" class.
  19. So, what we have learned is that Hard Mode Boarding Party is "easy" if you: Have been playing many hours since early release Are part of a guild filled with people who have also been playing many hours since early release Have most likely known the people in your guild for more than 18 days and trust their ability to perform their role Are coordinating your strategy over voice chat Clearly, this describes the makeup of the majority of groups entering Hard Mode Boarding Party.
  20. It's not as if you're completely invisible. If you don't come up behind them, they'll spot you.
  21. Willpower is what a DPS Assassin wants to stack. Strength is for Sith Warriors, I believe.
  22. If you spec into "Dark Embrace" in the Deception tree, you get 50% increased Force regeneration for 6 seconds after you break stealth. You can also start battles off with Maul -- and later on, Spike -- instead of just charging in there.
  23. If you're going Deception, you won't be using Lightning Charge, you'll be using Surging Charge. Put those 2 points from Crackling Charge into something else like Explosive Strikes.
  24. If you're going DPS, you should probably give any off-hands with Shield Rating to Khem Val, since he'll be tanking for you. You'll want the off-hands with more Willpower than Endurance.
