  1. But with Scavenging and Bioanalysis that kind of issue just doesn't exist. You will always have a use for the materials you gather from those nodes. Color crystals seem to take up 75% of the spawn points on Yavin 4. If people aren't picking them up, then those points won't spawn the materials we really need.
  2. I'd prefer that there only be Power Crystal and Artifact Fragment nodes, and that Color Crystals be an occasional bonus to both. There's no point yet (to me) in creating dyes that use the very limited Midlithe Crystals I have, when there are hilts and enhancements still left to learn and make.
  3. There's definitely something going on with this boss, because there was a guy with me in a raid yesterday who didn't die, but didn't get credit for the weekly, either. For the record, I corpse ran 3-4 times, died right as the boss did, and was able to loot, but didn't get quest credit.
  4. Without an explanation, there is only speculation. We have been shown lightsabers beams to look a certain way, and through 6 movies and however many video games they have looked that certain way. Now we have this. It's only natural to be a little shocked after 37 years.
  5. Sure, make a crossguard out of cortosis or something, but put mini-beams on it too? Seems like it would defeat the purpose.

  7. "An elegant weapon for a more civilized age." I'm just gonna hope that there's a good explanation for the effect, along the lines of, "this guy doesn't really know what he's doing, that's why it looks primitive," as opposed to the director thinking it "looks neat".
  8. Yes, but looking at it, the beam is fluctuating and the ends of the cross-beams are "frayed". Hopefully the reason for that will be something other than directorial license.

  10. Set your companion to Passive and you'll get out of combat much sooner. It's the second icon on your Companion Bar, which looks like a person crossing their arms. Just don't forget to click it off before the next time you want to enter combat.

  12. Right, and Black Hole/Campaign was the 2nd highest tier, IIRC. So I do find it odd that they're keeping Black Market gear on the vendor instead of making it Verpine.
  13. I would assume that Verpine and Oriconian gear would only drop in HM and NiM level 55 Ops. The new FPs will likely drop item level 186 pieces.
  14. I would hope that this extends to quests like the Oricon and CZ-198 dailies & weeklies. I guess I shouldn't be surprised if history repeats itself regarding the PvP, FP and Ops dailies & weeklies. A little notice about what will happen would be appreciated... before the expansion starts patching this time.
  15. Yes, I know that many of the class quest rewards are green quality. I'm talking about items such as Kallig's Countenance, which can only be acquired via the Inquisitor's quest line.
  16. Yeah, probably not the best idea to have the healers standing close to the boss like I am to get the healing buff. I was more concerned about the "Increases all healing received by 3%" though.
  17. Personally I think Assassin's Shelter is one of the better abilities to choose PvE-wise in the Heroic tier of skills. Question is, does this affect the amount of healing we receive from our own DoTs, Death Fields and Leeching Strikes?

  19. Perhaps a piece of gear that you acquired from a class quest but deleted and wish you could get back? You could move it from an alt of the same class after reaching the same point in the story. Obviously you'd be wearing the gear for the looks and not the stats, but it'd feel more "real" to be wearing the actual piece, and not just have it appear that way.
  20. Actually, it looks like Maul damage is going down in 3.0, at least when you use it while Duplicity is active. According to the calculator, Duplicity only increases Maul damage by 20% when it procs, while in game right now, 3 points in Duplicity will increase the damage by 30%. They've also increased the chance of building a Static Charge to 50%, which may explain the lengthening of the cooldown. However, the critical strike bonus given to Discharge and Ball Lightning is only 30% via Crackling Blasts, instead of 50% like it is now. Just going to have to wait and see how it all works out.
  21. This bonus already exists in game. It's just been moved from Induction to Electric Ambush for 3.0.
  22. Yes, but then you won't see it proc for another 10 seconds. That's a long time to wait to use Maul again.

  24. People really didn't spend the point for a second low-cost high-damage Maul every 10 seconds? That doesn't make sense to me. As for the OP, perhaps the addition of Assassin's Mark (20% armor debuff) will make up for not having it?
