  1. The fact that the enemy can see your aoe targeting reticle is just plan dumb. Sometimes I only need to flash the reticle to get enemies to run away.
  2. First rule of object-oriented programming - Build it so it can be re-used again and again. Second rule of object-oriented programming - We do not talk about object-oriented programming.
  3. Would be cool if there was a lightsaber component like an emitter or beam focus that would allow for adjustable lightsaber widths and hues. A missing facet of the games crafting capabilities.
  4. I never cleanse on my dirty fighting gunslinger. To do so would require points in surrender which I find less than ideal for PvP. It would only cleanse movement effects anyways - better to just tough out the 5-12 second effects. I am ranged after all and I have Nice Try specced to reduce periodic effects by a meager 15%. Dont think theres any other skills available for GS cleansing. Are there?
  5. They should have made the crafting process generate a crystal within a specific hue range so that there would be noticeably different color crystals available to all. I suspect they are holding back some colors to have something players can earn in the future. They need carrots you know.
  6. Eh why not? Like a regular lightsaber is any more "believable". I imagine if you can keep the blade from reaching out to infinity then you can bend it a bit as well.
  7. It simply amazes me the divisions that they throw down in this game. There's already a huge wedge between the PvP and PvE crowds, but this is unavoidable in contemporary MMOs despite the issues of balance it conjures up. But then to go an divide the PvP community with this rated/unrated crap. I dont mind the separate queue for premades but IMO all warzone participants should be subject to a rating over time.
  8. Show me one person that augments their recruit gear. Hell, most people dont even augment BM given the current cost. Not to mention every grinders claim that it takes about a month to get WH - so why waste money on BM augments? Personally I would augment BM, because it would take me alot longer to go from there to WH. However, I have nowhere near the credits for that so it wont be happening. Based on this I would say the OPs chosen metrics are pretty accurate for most average players.
  9. This is a good post. But boni is not a real word. Still a good post though.
  10. This made me laugh. So let me get this straight. I'm supposed to grab 2 people i know and form a group, THEN queue up in the group finder? Where do these first 2 people come from? What if you want to run a mission that they dont? Unfortunately I think you are missing our point. The automation and lack of flexibility the current group finder has is severely limiting. These shortcomings are quite evident based on many peoples posted experiences with the tool. Its like BW is trying to minimize the human factor in determining groups by limiting your input to: 1) role and 2) mission, thinking this will make it easier and build more solid groups. Sadly the human factor is also present in their code. I shall repeat my mantra. "Copy the DDO group tool". You wont find anyone over at DDO complaining about the group tool. I'm sure there will be changes made to the tool over time, I'm just hoping they remove the automation, add an accept/deny mechanism (at the beginning and not after 40 mins of waiting for group to form lol - this right here is monumental failure), and a place to advertise/select groups forming other than the chat window.
  11. This. 100%. Who the hell was asking for this auto queue shiz? Don't you guys want a little control over your group? The auto queue can barely be seen as successful for the warzones. "Copy the DDO group tool", is my mantra. RNG is good for alot of things, but forming groups is not one of them.
  12. Just reread most of this thread and it seems everyone is missing a very important detail. Dual spec within ACs only does absolutely nothing for Mara/Sent and GS/Sniper. So these DPS ACs can respec into ... DPS? Just sayin. Seems BW shot themselves in the foot here with their twisted mirrors. My guess is they will eventually adopt a system for total respec within base class or risk alienating a good portion of players using those ACs. I used to be against AC switching, but after playing through several story lines multiple times and also coming to the realization that class story has very limited replayability - this has changed my mind. Not to mention the fact that several ACs will just see no benefit. I could see it implemented as a permanent change (on a timer), either accessed through high lvl legacy perks + credits + rare drops or through a micro transaction (kinda like DDO reincarnations), which honestly I am ok with. Gives people more reasons to play, not less.
  13. The randomness of the GF is retarded . Why cant they just provide a screen which shows what groups are forming, then I could click on the one I want to join and either be accepted or denied. When the group is full it is removed from the list. If I want to start a group I select a few dropdowns or checkboxes which dictates the mission I want to run, roles I need filled, and a small personal note which indicates any special info such as: "Quick run, pls spacebar" or "casual first time run, no spoilers pls", so people know what theyre getting themselves into. If someone drops, the leader could place the group on the list again to pick up another group member. Those coming in late would get less xp, not reset the mission entirely. See DDO. Too much inflexibility in the system as it is right now. Take this auto queue crap back to wow please. I mean, I really hate to *****, I really do, but this just does not live up to my expectations and I really didnt think what I outlined above was out of line.
  14. Logically, the beginning of the FP is where you should be dumped if you exit at the end. I mean this is where you entered and this is where you logically end your group experience. This especially makes sense if its a dungeon/quest with only 1 entrance and exit. Plus, some FP arcs require you to run around in exteriors to advance the quest arc. But seeing as they allow a shuttle from wherever you are questing, they should probably allow for a return shuttle if that is how the user got there in the first place.
