  2. I have extensive experience as a guild leader. I have recruited thousands of MMO players across several games and many servers. I know when a game is dying and wow is a dying game. I also know when a game is growing and SWTOR is a growing game.
  3. Your opinion of SWTOR end game has nothing to do with the viability of the game. The viability of the game is determined by how many new players are coming to the game.
  4. Recruiting 20 new players including about 5 alts in one day in one zone is neither vague nor speculation. I challenge anyone to do that in wow, there just arent enough new players coming to the game in wow to do that.
  5. Again, just because facts disagree with your closely held beliefs does not make them wrong. Go take a look on your server(s), prove me wrong if you can. I think you will find a pattern across almost all WoW and SWTOR servers, SWTOR is growing, WoW is in maintenance mode at best.

When the facts challenge your closely held assumptions and myths, you should reevaluate your assumptions in light of the facts.
  8. The key to MMORPG viability is "how many new players are coming to the game?" or "how many players are leveling new characters?" when the starting zones are empty, its over for an MMORPG. Why are starting zone numbers so important to MMORPG viability? Because without new players it is very difficult for guilds to recruit and form new guilds or replace losses due to attrition in existing guilds. New blood is the key to guild and MMORPG viability. Lets compare The number of players in WoW's Alliance starting zones on the Maelstrom RP-PvP server to the number of players in the Republic starting zones on the Ven Zallow RP-PvP server from levels 1-20 today, Sunday March 3/25/2012 at 11:00 AM CST. Both servers are medium population. Here are the numbers •Maelstrom Alliance: 1-20 - 28 characters •Ven Zallow Repuplic: 1-20 - 88 characters. The numbers speak for themselves. SWTOR is clearly growing twice as fast as wow by sufficient numbers more than replace any losses due to attrition while WoW is in maintenance mode at best or is slowly losing players. Neither game is dying but SWTOR is clearly more healthy than WoW. You will likely find similar results on most servers in WoW and SWTOR.   10. I cant help my team if I am dead. All an imp has to do is catch me after respawning on my way back to the objective to easily kill me 1v1. That isnt fun, it doesnt help my team and untimately, it harms the game.

  12. My stats are full champion Force Master gear stats. There is no way that any stat, gear or spec change my burst will go up from 1-3k to the 4-10k that other dps classes/specs have.
  13. The problem with our dps is the hybrid spec (not after 1.2). The hybrid dps seems OP until you look at the lack of burst. What we really need is a buff to our pure dps specs that give us some single-target burst.
  14. PvP is more than metrics. Getting owned over and over and over again 1v1 just is not FUN. Burst is fun. Front-loaded dps is fun. Respawning over and over again is not fun.
  15. /agreed As I said above. No sage/sorc is EVER going to kill an equally champion+ geared player while critting them from 2-3k + dot damage when they are critting the sorc/sage for 4-10k. Burst is king in PvP.
  16. While Sage/Sorc AEs can dramatically increase damage stats, they have little effect on the outcome of the battle. Ultimately, all pvp battles are decided 1v1.

  19. This may be a buff to pve damage but pvp damage is all about burst. A nerf to crit is a significant nerf to pvp damage.
  20. This response is correct. Sage/Sorc just does not have enough burst to 1v1 any dps class/spec with equivalent gear, especially melee. We will never kill anyone 1v1 by critting them for 2k when they are critting us for 4-10k no matter how skilled we are.
