  1. Mid turret took a long time to cap. They capped their first turret quicker than us. The funny thing is we totally realize they had 7 people and if all 8 were there, they may have won with mid never being capped since they capped first... but we enjoy the heck out of watching them be so defensive about the game. LD50 and Republic Gentlemen are the two top guilds on the server. We know they are good. They know we are good. They worry too much. If we would have lost, we would have said GG and moved on. they got mad because we didn't requeue... well we couldn't we only had 6 people. with the group comps (we had 4 commando dpsers) we'd got torched in huttball. The others would be decent games IMO. Anyway... I personally like getting them all worked up over nothing... they played well enough to keep it close when short 1. We also know they wouldn't pay up the credits. We probably wouldn't have either if the roles were reversed.
  2. not sure why i wrote 60-8... mind fart. it was very lopsided though
  3. LoL... you didn't almost beat us. 60 kills to 18 kills. Look at the damage difference. Devildog owned u
  4. Of course they said it didn't count when we asked for our credits.

  10. My only desire... whenever they have a long maintenance and give an estimate, they are always wrong. It happens with all the big patches, changes, etc. How about they overestimate the time and then surprisingly come up earlier? For example.. they should have said that servers would be up at 1PM EST. Then when they come up at 11AM, they are heroes... rather than delaying delaying delaying.
  11. Can't tell you how many times this has happened. I get killed in a war zone and then I release and die right away in the respawn area without the ability to release again. I am laying on the floor. I can cast buffs and skills, but I am laying dead and cannot move. Ultimately I time out. Tonight it happened again. I got kllled and when I released I appeared in the respawn area and i seemed to get hit by something and then i was dead. I was in there for 10 mins and I got booted because I was hanging out in the respawn area. I've sen this issues for MANY months... and have reported it to only get no details or anything.
  12. Just wanted to see if anyone has experienced bugs on Firebrand and Stormcaller. Last night we were in there and screwed up our first attempt. We downed Stormcaller, but wiped just after. When we got back, we saw two Stormcallers on top of each other. One wasn't moving, so we thought it was just leftover dead from the last attempt. When we engaged, we kept getting the lightning sheilds in places they shouldn't be. More specifically inside the tank where you couldn't see it. No warnings no nothing. We've downed this boss plenty and know what we are doing. It was as if the other stormcaller was in the add phase the whole time.
  13. Last night we cleared to Kephess. The lockbox by the end of the clear did not turn green. Our guild lose out on the comms for each player and whatever loot was inside. Kinda disheartening. We opened a ticket at that moment and there was no response the whole night. The box itself disappeared as well by the time we were done with Kephess. Some people complain about the trash pulls in there. I'm fine with them as some can be skipped. There needs to be that time sink in there, so I guess that's the point. My only desire would be a travel route to the first boss after he is down in case you wipe on the Firebrand and Stormcaller. Other issues... we have a couple times now have had to reclear trash because of repops shortly after clearing. That needs to be fixed. We also had to reset the instance before because it said invalid and had to reclear again. Too much wasted time. Lastly... why is Vorgath still visible and his mobs as well even after he has been downed?
  14. Hey All... I have some questions as I'm trying to maximize both my PvP and PvE damage. I have read various posts here and there and want to summarize what I learned and what I've exerpienced when compared to others who know more than me. PvP - Prior to 1.3, I was a gunnery commando. It sucked having to be a standing turret, but the damage was good. After 1.3, I noticed my DPS sucked. I went to Assault and my DPS was much much better. I am 100% in belief that assault is the way to go for PvP right now. PvE - I am running PvE as assault right now, but I have seen many a posts saying the gunnery is still the way to go. That said.. does anyone have a great build to share? Is there a cookie cutter gunnery spec these days? Gear/Stats - We are running EC SM right now. I am full Rakata with head and legs BH and my MH is my War Hero canon. Fully buffed, I was sitting close to 2200 aim. From what I read, but not confirmed, 2100 Aim is the soft cap and after that, you start seeing diminshing returns in Aim. Can anyone confirm this? When upgrading to BH gear from Rakata, I have noticed a couple things. 1) I lose a ton of accuracy 2) I tend to lose Aim as well. In terms of crit and the mythical 30% Cap... I read that it's not a total of 30% that is the cap. It's 30% in each of the stats you get crit from. Crit tiself is an addition of crit from aim, from crit itself, etc. I read that the cap for each of these is 30% and not the total crit value. I'm floating around 38% right now in crit. 75% multipiplier. Where do I get the accuracy that I'm losing? I don't remember if Gunnery adds accuracy anywhere that assault does not. Being that accuracy is #2 behind AIM, I'm surprised we lose so much upgrading from Rakata to BH. Back to the aim cap... I can understand if there is diminishing returns at 2100 for AIM... maybe that's why BW lowers our AIM value in BH gear. Inputs? Suggestions?
  15. Commando/Merc DPS is not broken. Survivability and Utility is what makes this class bad. My main is an Assault Commando. I was Gunnery (aka Turret) spec'd before 1.3, but went Assault afterward as it was better for PvP as the three primary attacks are instant. Anyway... I tend to be one of the highest DPSers in all my WZs... rated and unrated. I'm in full WH and full Augmented as well. The problem is that my DPS is limited when I'm dead. Shocker.. I know. Put a good mele on me and I'm virtually toast. We need an interupt like all other classes. We need a snare as well. Since I'm making a wish list.. I'd like something along the lines of what every other class seems to have. We have no leap, sprint, pull, etc. This is most noticed in Huttball. Simply put... Commandos/Mercs need utlity. DPS is just fine. The class is all about maximizing uptime, but if you have a mele on you, that is significantly decreased.
  16. From the republic side, I play a Commando. After 1.3 I went assault from gunnery. I hold my own just fine thank you. I'm always at or near the top in DPS (both rated and unrated) for my team and often against the other team. I'm not going to lie and say that Mercs and Commandos are great for PVP, but I will say that if you know how to play your toon, you can do just fine in both rated and unrated WZs. I do think these classes need to be tweeked and more utility and survivability needs to be put in place, but the skill in playing these classes is more about how to survive and maximize your uptime... which ultimately maximizes your dps. If you are a merc or commando who gets right into the middle of a fight, you are screwed. You need to stick to the outside more, hit soft targets, and always keep an eye out for where the mele are. You will see healers often targeted first. I either DPS their healz or I dps the person(s) attacking our healers. Again... I think BW needs to fix mercs/commandos, but I think the reason you are having issues with some of them is because the people who are playing them are not good and don't understand how to play smart.
  17. I honestly wish more were like you and wanted to farm rated comms. My main is full WH so I don't care about comms on him. My alt is working on WH gear now and definitely needs them. Even though my main is always one of the better dps'ers there, my alt is usually in higher demand because it's a healer and people want healers... especially over commando DPS... but don't get me started on commando DPS. We all know that's big time broken in terms of utility. Their DPS is respectable... could use a sligth buff comapred to other dps classes. I average around 450-550k in a wz, but have gone much higher.
  18. This has happened to me multiple times and most recently in a rated match. My healer died early in Round 2 of Voidstar. I appeared back up in the respawn area still dead and on the floor. I could still cast buffs and use talents. I just couldn't move. One of my teammates was able to rescue me to the edge fo the spawn area, but that didn't stop me from timing out. On top of that, we have a DC and were basically running 6 on defense. We ended up losing by 3 seconds and were two down. I got even more upset when I saw a huge drop in my rating for timing out of a wz. I opened a ticket and they gave me little info and closed it without making things right to me. I got screwed out of a win and ultimately took a big hit. There also needs to be something done about the large amounts of DCs I'm seeing in rateds. Seem more so than normals. If you DC (which the game seems to know since it says you disconnected)... give that person a chance to log back in and rejoin the wz. Can't be too hard to do that.
  19. I'm not sure how it is on other servers, but on Jedi Covenant, we pretty much see the same three premades running rateds over and over. They are very solid teams that focus purely on PVP... not sure why they rolled on a PVE server... but that's not important. Anyway... Our team queued up an got the same premade team three matches in a row. We lost three matches in a row. I'm not complaining about losing to a superior team. The were and deserved the win. What we are noticing is that there is not a lot of diversity and people taking advantage of the rated wzs. I'm on a team that wins some and loses some and I'm fine with that because I'm not intersted in being in a PVP only guild. I just think something needs to be done to increase participation and diversity. Too many people won't do rateds because they know it's an automatic loss for them. The bad players and the middle of the road players are all scared away leaving the pure PVP guilds owning the rateds and taking advantage of its rewards. In the beginning I saw a few pugs do rateds, but not so much anymore. I'm not sure how to fix this. Initial thoughts were to allows queues just like normal wzs. IF you wanted to queue 8 people, then you would only fight against another 8 man premade. I know for a fact that the better players who queue for regular wzs win more often than the bad ones. Anyway... I'd like to see some changes to this because if it ends up only being the same three wz premades, no one is really going to run rateds anymore except them.
  20. Thanks... I was thinking along the similar lines with all of that. So... basically I hit squishy people harder with the ones not internal, but tank types less hard. They probably all average out in the end. I know as an assault specialist, I target the light armor wearers most because I can hit them hard and fast. The internal I agree is consistent across the board on the people, so that may be a good way to go, but I'll keep an eye on how often im on squishy vs tanks to see if the others are better. I wonder how the "change on hit" relics compare to the pure stats one? I also said I was at the crit cap, but I also learned that's wrong because 30% total crit isn't the cap from what I read. the 30% crit cap is reached when your crit rating from crit (or aim) hits 30%, so in essence, I could be in the 60s with crit without experiencing the cap.
  21. OK... there are an abundance of relics to choose from and I sat there for quite awhile working on which to buy. There are like 5 or so different damaging ones. The first one I chose with the pure stats relic with power for my Commando Assault Specialist. Reason being is that the chance on hit ones have something in the description saying only one of the "similar effects" can be up at a time, which tells me that you should only have one of the chance on hit relics and one of the stats relics. Problem being is that there are too many to choose from and I have no idea which is better. All the chance on hit have a 30% chance to land the following different effects depending on the relic: 1) 184 Elemental damage 2) 246 Energy damage 3) 246 Kinetic damage 4) 184 Internal damage That said... I'm also wondering if getting two of the pure stats relics is best. Would up my power a bunch since I'm at 31.06% crit... so 1.06% over crit cap (without smuggler buff... so technically you can add 5% more to that). Opinions greatly appreciated. I presume the soft cap on crit is still at 30%?
  22. so you're saying you have 7 50s and 1 47? Jeesh. That says enough to me. Sorry I see no point to the drama about HK. So you spent an immense amount of time in this game and you want to unsub because you can't get a new toy? Please... this is silly to me. If you've leveled up that many characters... then you certainly have more time in your life to level another on the opposite side.
  23. Since I believe BW reads these threads, I've decided to post my own with comments. I want to first start off by saying I love this game. I know a game is different for each person, but I am enjoying it far more than WoW and I played that since Vanilla and know how crude it was in the beginning. 1) Player Transfer - Although I had to wait until Monday to do my transfer as we were one of the last to get the green light, I am so pleased with the process. My transfer took 1 minute for all 5 characters. I was in and playing in no time and got nearly instant WZ pops. Coming from the Shii-Cho server, we already had a strong PVP group and good amounts of pops... we just didn't have anything before lunchish most of the time. Now I can PVP whenever I want and am loving it... and this is coming from someone who hated PVP in WoW. 2) Sound Issues - This is one of my biggest issues right now. Makes PVP hard. Ruins story lines because you can't hear dialog, and takes away a great feature to the game that I have grown to enjoy. I know they are working on it and I won't go into details more about here. Just looking forward to this being fixed. I'm tired or restarting the game to get the sound working right. 3) Progression - I really enjoy the grind and hard work to get the important things. For example... you had to be Battlemaster to get Battlemaster gear. I earned BM before they upped the valor gain in WZs. It was a good grind and well worth it. Then the nerf kicked in and we had more and more BMs popping up. Then the patch hit and BM gear has no valor requirement and you can get a MH weapon in a day's time. For me it really cheapened the title and the grind that a number of us did. I truly wish they had made WH gear obtainable ONLY when the WH title is reached. My character is Conq now and it was a nice grind to get it that I don't see a ton getting very fast. Please don't cheapen this. Make things hard to get. Same goes for loot on bosses. I feel people are getting geared too quick and too easy. 4) Crafting - I have a number of professions. My main is Armstech and it's really worthless. I'm looking forward to 1.3 so that I can make something others will use. I hate to draw comparisons to WoW as I feel this game as a whole is far superior (though it needs some aging), but the one thing I liked is that Pattern drops that end up being best is slot items. I remember having to craft certain boots, bracers, etc. because they were the best for me. I really don't see anyone sporting crafted gear often. Sorry. Biochems get awesome reusable medpacs/stims/adrenals and I really like that. What cool thing can I use as an Armstech? Nothing much. 5) Small thing that annoys me. Sometimes I can Shift-Click a players name in the chat window to whisper and sometimes I can't. It's a bit annoying. 6) My War Hero Gun is better than my Rikata. I PVE with my WH augmented MG. I also have an augmented Rikata MH and the WH is better. The Rikata should be much better for PVE than WH. It's about the barrel. I have much higher min max damage numbers on the WH... other stats are meh in terms of difference. I don't think the barrier between PVP and PVE gear is quite there. 7) Again... a WoW comparison... I was always an Ironforge guy (vanilla wow). There were SW people... and even some that lurked in Darnasus. The point is... there were multiple hubs/cities where everything can be done. Being stuck on one big fleet is a bit limiting and gets old. It also reminds me of Undercity and I didn't like it. 8) I am enjoying the end-game ops. We are working on EC HM and it's more challenging than EV and KP. I know people comlpain things might be a little light on content, but for a brand new game, I think BW is doing well and I'm excited for more in the future. Going a little slow in the beginning is just fine for me with end game content. You don't want to let too many people get too far ahead and leave new people to the game way behind. 9) The importance of Flashpoints - I can't tell you the last time I ran one. I see that we are getting some sort of new daily or incentives for running them in 1.3. I'm optimistic about this and look forward to it... though to be honest... I'll probably being doing WZs as that's become a favorite thing to do with my toons. 10) Speeders - Just a bit too slow. They need to move quicker. I imagine Episode IV when you see Luke and Ben on a speeder zooming across the screen... not something that moves slowly like I was riding a tricycle. 11) Disconnects - I hate when I get disconnected in WZ and lose my spot in the group. Is there a way to make it so that if you DC you can return to that wz if you log back in within a minute or so? I was just in a Huttball two days ago and DCed when up 5-0. Grats to the person who got my spot. 12) Storage Locker/Banks - I'd love to see the one for you ship be independent of the one on planets. I feel limited with a max of 3 tabs. 13) LOVED the +10 datacron grind. It was simlpy fun to do with friends. Along a similar note... LOVE the grind to get all 67 datacrons. It took me time and I invested in it and was fullfilled. 14) Am SOOOO thankful that in 1.3 our groups will remain together after a WZ thank you! 15) Would like to see one be able to run ranked WZs without being in a pre-made group of 8. I'm not worried about it that much as I have lots of pvp friends, but it'd be nice to have that option in less busy times. 16) LOVE the trooper gear... especially the WH ones. Feel bad for some other classes. Jedi Counselors look ready for a toga party. I'm glad we can move the mods out (way too expensive), but end game PVE and PVP gear should be the coolest stuff out there. 17) Social Points are kinda meh - I'm not finding any reason to really grind them. Don't care that much. Maybe because it's such a slow grind for rewards I don't really care about. 18) Macros - I'll admit it... I was calling for it in the beginning, but I'm happy without them. I like the game the way it is this way. Macros make worse people better or makes the game too easy. Thanks for sticking to your guns on this. 19) DPS meters - Again... I was calling for it in the beginning, but now I'm glad I don't have it. I know there are some 3rd party things you can get, but we have a great guild with great people and I'm happy with it just this way. We get things accomplished. I'd hate to have my opinion on someone change because they are worse in DPS than I thought they'd be. I don't need to know this. 20) Commando survivability is rough in PVP. This is not a huge complaint, but as a commando, I'm in a tough boat 1 v 1... especially against mele. I don't have much to get away. Most of my actions require standing still. I can knock them back, stun them shortly, or try to get a concussion off... but the CDs are long on these and against an equally geared/skilled mele, we are seriously hindered. OK... I'll stop at 20 All said... I'm loving this game. Server transfered were a huge success in my book. Made the game all that much better. Excited for 1.3. Keep up the great work... this game is far superior to Vanilla WoW. For those comparing to WoW (Which I know I did too to some extent), give it time. They can only do so much at a time.
  24. LOL. Doesn't take long before people start QQing again. I personally have plenty to do and love playing the game. Whether it's PVPing on my main, do dailies for credits/campaign relics, doing stuff on my 50 alt, leveling another toon, etc. I don't think BW is going to tailor this game to the people who wake up, play the game, and go to bed. A lot of people have school, jobs, and believe it or not a family/gf/bf.
