I'm still only a level 41 sage, but something I have found useful is to run...... simple as that. Running through your own players is even better as this means a few things: You will still be close enough to them to support them or get support rather than running in the opposite direction There might be a more tempting target within your team (go team go team go.....) They'll just lose you in the mass and target something else. Lots of players, especially melee class, do not know why their attacks are not working when you have moved away and when you can't be seen through other enemies then they will scroll for more targets If you're targeted by a class and another of theirs see's you going down, they WILL join, thus, if you come under attack when there is more than one enemy around, shield, break stun, speed away..... I'll often use this running away to use a medpack too..... if the enemy continues to track you and they see your health shoot up, they will normally give up. So... medpack, instaheal, break LoS and full heal. If they've choosen to follow you, they'll be so busy tracking you down, they won't have bothered to heal. **please remember this is low level WZ's** (and I,m new)

I'm sorry to ask, but can you please expand on your answer..... Please bear in mind that I am a returning player who did NO PvP originally, so, and sadly, most of what you said went over my head

So... the only benefit is that its MAKING me purchase WZ stims and medpacs? Just another quick question.... Am I doing the right thing in trading for RWZ comms? or should I stick with stockpiling medpacs? (ps... im not rich in game). Thanks for all the quick replies! Regards

Hi, I've done a search on how it works but ended up wading through thread after thread with players just complaining about how it does/doesnt work. Can someone please explain to me how Valor works, why it's important and also, why at level 39 can not seem to increase my Valor beyond rank 39. I'm really trying to get into PvP and have been advised to convert comms into ranked ones, but I can not do this until L40 valor.... I think. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Hi, I've rolled a Jugg and am pushing the class story fairly hard at the moment and am sometimes running into problems where I am fighting a little above my level and i was wondering if I were to turn off TREEKS attacks, is she more likely to push out more heals rather than heals and attacks? Regards ps.... I can';t imagine this will be to much of an issue as I am going to start PvP soon and the XP will lift my levels nicely.

Hey, I've really put some effort into improving my PvP game by playing a lot more but mainly by trying to get a grasp of my rotations, cc's and procs. I have a few questions. What is considered to be a decent level of damage for a mid/late 30's with a 0/?/16 skill set? Please note at this stage I have one proc and one double speed damage, I have not yet collected any 50% damage bonuses. Are there any styles are considered easy to PvP with that I might want to focus on other than a DPS sage? Are melee classes considered easier than ranged or more difficult due to having to 'track' your target? Regards Obilam

The sums it up for me (and the long post with the examples) For me Sith or Empire doesn't mean evil, it just means selfishness. Jedi will think of others in their decision making moments whereas the Empire/Sith will think mainly of the selves. An old (bible???) story can work here (btw I'm not religious) A man dies and is shown a glimpse of a dining room in heaven and in hell. Ini both cases the guests at the meal all have 1meter long stick instead of hands (think chopsticks). In hell everyone is doing all they can to feed themselves, battling to break their sticks, throwing fod in the air to catch it....... In heaven everyone is feeding the person sitting opposite them. Dark vs Light. Think of yourself or of others....... Obilam

Mind if I ask which ones you're referring too? I'm new back to the game and a lot of this stuff is still very alien to me. I'm currently level 35 (at the time of writing). Someone mentioned a lot about understanding their character and this is really what I am aiming for..... it's quite mind blowing what you can get out of your character when you start to understand them. I've spent a whole afternoon really studying my class (Sage) and watching movies of rotations and applying them to my level (ezpvper is a great site) and off the back of it I am considerably more effective in my PvE too.

Hi, I was just wondering what peoples thoughts are on the above? I've just boosted my XP gain in WZ's and it looks to me like it could be well worth the effort to level purely through warzones.... though thats a lot of waiting around. How would I fare with credits for equipment etc?

That's almost identical to where i was going, though I had points in Upheaval rather than Inner Strength.

Hey, thanks for the reply. I just downloaded Torparse and have been testing. Bearing in mind at this stage most of my rotation isnt present due to level, but using a simple rotation of opening with MC and then spamming TkT and then Disturbance and MC when I can. I ran two methods. One where I was interrupting TkT with MC when available and with Disturbance when not. I found that this method was far more force hungry, though I'd imagine with Effusion that will not be an issue. The other method without interrupting was far easier to manage but didn't damage so well. Over a one minute period (I know this is not ideal) I managed an extra 50dps by interupting. I think this is simple down to the larger number of procs that come up. I'd hazard a guess that I am starting at least and extra 40% of so MORE TkT's than when I'm not interrupting. I'd imagine in PvP it will allow for more movement too as you can move a little and then insta-cast. For what it's worth, below are the results of my (very limited) test. Hi, I'm slowing working my way to the 0/30/16 tree and am currently 0/10/16 into it, which means I have picked up the Presence of Mind skill after a re-spec earlier. What I am wondering as I sit here in the dummy training room is whether or not it is worth interupting a TK throw when it procs for an instant Disturbance/Mindcrush? To me it seems to make sense to interupt it on the premise that if i start TkT again quick then it may proc quicker again....... What are your thoughts. Regards

Hi, I'm really trying to get into this class and to understand it way better than I currently do (hence all the posts). I was wondering how beneficial the extra 5m is with 'Minds eye'. I believe the usefulness of this will be driven by how many other classes have range extenders as part of their skill list. Regards Obilam

*cough cough* directed here from another thread I'd like to make a few suggestions but please bear in mind I am a returning play and not very good at PvP/Zones. When waiting for the game to start and no one is talking - start talking, this will encourage others to chat and before you know it you'll have a plan. It might be wrong, it might be crap, but it WILL be a plan and if it doesnt work, then you at least know it next time. Some good things I have found to chat about: If you're a healer, tell people and ask for support and ask that you are not left alone to guard a node If you can guard.... ask who needs it specifically If you can offer something else that others can not, then tell people Regards Obilam

Credit where credit is due........ I have read a few of your posts and have nothing against you personally, it's just depressing. I AM trying to learn the game and I have to wade through a ton of crap to find decent threads. There are always snippets of good stuff, even in flaming threads, but if everyone quit moaning about players and all complaint threads were removed the forums would actually be a good place to come.

Just been followin up on the reviews and it does seem that against the 2014 version it's kinda 50/50. Most of the reviews I watched were against the 2012? (not 2014). Really unsure again now...........

Anyone able to assist on this one? I'm looking at the tree's now and trying to understand where and where the procs kick in (though I'm still trying to learn what a proc is). However they seem quite high up on the Balanced tree which means I have to put a lot of points in there to start benefiting from the movement bonuses...... I beleive that a minimum of 12 points are required in balance to make it start working as it should. This then rises to 16 to benefit from Presence of Mind, which I guess is the king skill if you are only putting 16 points in. Regards Obilam

Anywhos..... after a few PM's, researching, youtubing..... I have decided to purchase the G600 Logi mouse. It appears to be winning most reviews..... Should I choose to purchase the Razer keypad at a latter date, do you think the two will work well together (no conflicts)? Now that I decided that, why would I choose the Orbweaver over the NOstromo or Tartarus (which is surprisingly SWTOR sounding).
