If one person is not humping the satalite, most of the time people stray to far away and it gets lost. If you humping, you get chased around and around, but maintain posesion, meanwhile you teamates can blast away the chasers from a distance.

I didnt read the whole thread, So this may be a repeat: Aim at the little red circle in front of your target not the ship itself, unless of course the red circle is covering the ship. Alo make sure you know what key to press to actually select a target (tab is one of them) or you will not see the red circle. The flight tutorial sucks and worse than that I doubt many people even know how to get to it as they just close any tutorial popups without reading. Click the big question mark in the top right corner of your hanger screen.

Remember how in that other MMO that rhymes with DOW you could design custom guild tabards? I think it would be cool to be able to make customizable squadron decals for you and your buddies ships.

Agreed. The last few days I've foung myself usua;ly being the first to a node and just circling that sucker as close and fast as possible the whole match. At the end of the game Ive got zero kills and zero deaths, and oftem a bunch more zeros in everything but objective points. You do get medals for the time spent holding though.

The Rice-rocket reminds me of Emperor Palpatine's small shuttle. The cartell market scout ship, the Ocultis or something, looks like a turd with wings. Does anyone actually like the looks of that thing? I hate the look of both gunships, But the Imp one looks way better that The Rep one.

It could be Quebecois (French Canadian) French. Its allot different than standard French. People from France cant understand WTH they are saying most of the time. They use allot of slang and oldschool french from, like, the 1800's.

You should try the mouse lock keybind. It doesn't work in any way that is useful. It just locks your ship movement and removes the targeting reticle and HUD so you can move a mouse cursor around the screen to click on ability buttons etc. Your ship movement is locked out of mouse control.

I just use my 'target the last enemy that damaged you' hotkey. I forget wat the default key is, but if you go to preferences > starfighter keybinding you can find out. Also in your targeting arc (the large circle in the middle of your screen you will see red flashes that indicate the direction atacks are coming from.

Supposedly it died when they released a major patch that dumbed the game down drastically to make it a wow clone. It had nothing to do with the space flight expansion. This argument has been shot down numerous times all ready. The short version is that at a minimum (apart from all the back-end coding for controller support,obviously) all they need to do is add a lock mouse pointer at center toggle. Yes it would be harder for controller users to stay on target, but its something se are used to in other games and why should KB/mouse fanboys care if a using a controller is harder. Edit: actualy at minimum they dont hsve to touch the ui. Your controller would just take over the action of the mouse targeting. it would suck IMO but I could get used to it; not much different than using a controller to target in an FPS.

Is cross faction chat allowed on RP servers? I have a couple characters on this server but rarely play them, and am also guildless. Therefore I have not yet gotten into any RPing. I'm am still a total noob when it comes to RP servers. So If there is no cross faction chat how do you go about roleplaying with the other side? ...or maybe you don't? That would seem like such a waste.

This is %100 correct i just re-read the full description of this ability. It was the title of the upgrade and tool tip that threw me off. It's titled "Dampening Sensors" but in the full description its referred to as Sensor Dampening. Sensor dampening should be the upgrade title and it shouldnt be listed under sensors as it doesn't detect anything therefore is not a sensor.

That makes sense to me.

@Hyde_v: Cool, thank you, that helped. If dampening sensor do what you say they do, It's a misleading title IMO. As for stealth, you are correct, but it gets mentioned in some of the tooltips so I was thinking full out stealth was something they were/are going to implement in the future. TY for your help.

I think i understand what range sensor do; they determine how far away an enemy can be before you can see a red box around them? I havent the foggiest about what a communication sensor does for you. I take it from the name it's supposed to pick up enemy radio chatter to give away there location but *** does it actualy do that a radar aka range sensor doesn't already do? and a dampening sensor? Dampening as in radar dampening aka stealth? it detects staelth technology? There is no ship stealth abilty akin to scoundrels etc. so WTH?? Can anyone point me to a guide that explains all these things in detail (or take the time to type it out) because the in game tooltips just don't cut it for me.

/signed. Im having fun with GSF but definetly want joystick/gamepad support. All the reasons posted against JS support are lame. The worst one is that joystics/gamepads would be overpowered. You can suck just as bad with a gamepad/JS as you can with a keyboard and mouse. It all depends on what you are used to gaming with. I used to be able to do First Person Shooters with a gamepad and kick *** back when i owned a console years ago, now i completely suck at it. I lost that SKILL.

That's a major cop-out. Hundreds of thousands of credits can take along time to acquire for casual players. They should refeund all players who were affected by the bug, no support ticket required. Its not like we're taking about real money. Just give everyone 500k credits for there trouble and an apology. It's crap like this being ignored that cause people to leave un-sub or leave the game entirely.

Put in a suppor ticket in game and they will refund your credits. I put in a ticket when i first encountered the bug and am supposed to be getting a refund.

I hope so... I have no idea if that is true; I doubt it. I think gear obtained by grinding pve should have the same stat as gear obtained from grinding warzones.

I've tried this before, even tried it tonight... It's the same deal as with the launcher, It takes 5+ minutes for the e-mail to hit my gmail account. I guess the password has expired by then. I just wish they would remove it until they get there mail server up to speed... or fix whatever might be causing this. If it actualy wrked as intended i wouldnt mind logging into my email evertime i want to play. I'd still think it's overkill and a PITA though.

I used to play WOW; quit when Cataclysm launched. I dont recal i they had a key available back then, I never used one though and never got hacked. I've been online banking for over a decade... never been hacked ...Never have had my email hacked ...I've never been hacked period. Only downloaded/executed a couple viruses/trojans way back when I was a noob to the internet back in 1997. I just seems insane to me that a GAME need such drastic security measures but banks, paypal etc do not.
