  1. Just got this problem with Kira and Nadia. I don't think the age of the character is a factor; my JK with this problem is only a few months old, but I've had the Risha and Vector romances acknowledged on characters I made in early access.
  2. Don't remove the PvP objective - it's not hurting anyone, and goodness knows PvP in this game needs some love - just add an alternative that's in keeping with the theme of the mission, like the Qyzen mission. I did enough PvP to get my main to valor 50, which means I at least get M1-4X on one character, but it was also enough to know I really don't enjoy swtor PvP and so I won't be getting M1 or Pierce on any alts which don't just get them for free (trooper/SW), which sucks.
  3. I agree OP. I really don't enjoy PvP and I'd rather not inflict myself on 20 WZs worth of other players - or just AFK in 20 matches for that matter - so I'd be happy for an alternative way to acquire M1 and Pierce; even Qyzen has an alternative method to acquire him, torturously spawn-campy though it is. As it stands, I'm just not bothering with either. In the context of the story, space PvE or GSF would both work just as well with what they're asking you to do - pushing back the other faction - maybe better, since WZs can put you against the same faction but I'm guessing that still counts towards the mission...
  4. At least an update on why there hasn't been an update, seriously. A notification about server downtime has been on the top of the Dev Tracker for almost a week, and the last post which wasn't from Customer Services was from last month; you wouldn't think we were less than 3 months away from release... Not every update has to be a full blog post with all the details, just tell us what's going in, give us a bone to chew on while we run the same ops/flashpoints for almost a year.
  5. I haven't followed Fallout 4 since the E3 demo but I thought the player character WAS the child; you customize one of the parents and whichever gender parent you choose becomes your character's gender/appearance..?
  6. The first Republic base on Hoth; the right-side main exit corridor has a few standing around, and one gives you a mission to go collect some passes from an Imperial-captured camp.
  7. That's an even worse method than Esseles though, especially if you already have crew skills you use for actual crafting which you'd have to drop then re-learn from 0. Plus it's kind of unintuitive that the ability to change alignment should be built into a completely unrelated system for no obvious reason.
  8. I think it would be a good idea if there were items like gifts which you could use to add however much to you LS/DS points. What form they'd take - whether they'd come randomly from packs or be straight-up CC purchases - I don't know, but it seems odd that since the game released the only reliable way to alter your alignment has been to farm Esseles/BT, which is pretty soul-destroying, honestly. We already have gifts which let us gain affection with companions regardless of how badly we actually treat them, this doesn't seem like a huge leap in terms of meta items. It would be nice for me since I have characters I try to play balanced, but they inevitably end up Light I because that's just how my decisions pan out, and then on the rare occasions alignment is checked in dialogue it's just treated as light (Imperius indeed ).
  9. Mostly, I was just chuffed to see my smuggler doing smuggler-y things and acting smuggler-y again.
  10. This is the only class change that really bothers me; Flyby is hardly overpowered, only time I hear people talk about it they say it's been nerfed into obscurity anyway, but it's still fun. Both mirror abilities are really characterful IMO, like force choke or flamethrower, even ACs that don't need them as part of a rotation should still have access to them because they're too iconic to take away - Orbital Strike is even the agent's heroic legacy ability! On top of which, having a big AoE that also stuns standard / weak is really nice for missions / dailies, and gives me time to pick off enemies before they focus me down. I watched the smuggler stream and they said it was removed for "thematic" reasons, which I took to mean they just don't want smugglers doing good AoE damage, we're strictly single-target now, which doesn't bother me, but in that case reduce the damage it does for scoundrel, don't remove it completely? It just removes a big part of the class character that's existed since launch... Can anyone convince me this was necessary?
  11. Would also be nice if they fit on a small hook; they're not that big...
  12. The fact that it's possible to accidentally become flagged because you weren't wandering around a PvE server constantly thinking about PvP seems like an admission that it isn't working like it should. I agree with the people saying it should be impossible for me to become involved in PvP unless I manually toggle my flag on; only people that would really inconvenience are the people who abuse the system at the moment?
  13. I get why the game lead people by the hand to ilum back when it was a max-level daily area, but it's really not relevant any more, and it'll be even less so with another expansion on top of it, so I'd like to stop having to trudge through it just to get it out of my mission log on all my post-ROTHC characters. The first stage of the mission is just to go and talk to a guy on the fleet; I don't understand why that guy isn't the mission-giver in the first place at this point, same way the black hole introduction works, so I can ignore it if I don't want to do it.
  14. Well the expansion story probably won't end with 3.0, so maybe there's hope for Theron and Lana once the Revan story is wrapped up in 3.x and they're no longer needed to carry it, but I'm pretty sick of hoping and I just want to be put out of my misery at this point. In every other respect this is my favourite MMO going, but Bioware's complete lack to transparency - on this issue in particular - goes a long way to spoiling it for me. For instance, SGR companions were "more work than we realized" and "delayed as we focused on the changes required to take the game Free-to-Play" more than a year and a half ago; what specifically is the state of it now? I'm not looking for an exact time, date, and the full script, but is it in active development yet? Is it even still on the to-do list?
  15. I'm in voice chat with the people I do ops with (at least the harder ops), and while it's usually just a case of "heal the lowest hp", sometimes someone says something I need to know about, like they're about to take big damage from Dismantlers or what have you so I can throw some HoTs on them to take the edge off before it happens. I know it's not a huge deal--they made the change well over a year ago (I didn't exactly mark the date..) and I've been a healer before and ever since--but I just don't understand why they decided to make the ops frame that much less readable for no obvious benefit.
  16. Don't know why it's taken so long for me to post this but here I am. The all-caps ops frame is a pain to read. There's a reason that road signs aren't in all caps; because it doesn't make words easier to read, it does the opposite. You recognize the shape of words in lowercase without having to read them because lowercase is how you see the words everywhere else, which is why I really dislike the uppercase ops frame. Everywhere else in the game - chat window, target frame, nameplates - the names are written all lowercase but the first letter, so that's how I recognize them without actually having to read them, but then I get into an op and someone says "I've used enure, I'll need healing" and I know who's speaking but have to spend the next X seconds reading through the ops frame one at a time until I find them, by which point they (or someone else) may well be dead. I know internet wisdom is that anything written in caps is "louder" but is there any real benefit to caps in the ops frame? Because it seems like in the important places where they put in the research (i.e. road signs) they don't do it that way.
  17. Is there a reason you would want to right-click on the map? Left-click controls all the map settings, but what does right-click do? I can't think of anything. Would be nice if this was put back the way it was. On planets like Corellia and Belsavis I ride pretty much everywhere with the map open, and now I have this "why isn't my character turning" derp moment every other jouney; all that seems to have been fixed is that a QoL feature has been removed...
  18. Unless you don't have the space on your drive then you might as well, but given that 2.9 is going live in a week and some change if you don't have the space I wouldn't go out of my way to free up any. Can't say I've regretted it myself, but I was doing a bit of GSH research on there too. I'm liking Lana a lot; my agent originally only flirted with her because she has a tendency of buttering up people she thinks may be important, but I think if it came to it she'd pick Lana over Vector at this point (doesn't help that I've basically forgotten what I liked about Vector in the first place after so long). I'm not the world's biggest Theron fan yet, he seems a bit businesslike to me, but maybe when 2.9 goes live and I try it with some different characters I'll warm to him.
  19. Well if it adds the next stage of the forged alliances story arc then that probably means more Theron Shan and Lana Beniko, but I'm guessing Torian will have to wait a while longer yet. My BH is still waiting to be created...
  20. Not a man of refined tastes or class... but I love 'im anyway.
  21. I never said they would, just that we should (in theory) be able to kill off any future companions with impunity - or miss out on them because we already killed them in this case - now that we have at least one companion of each role.
  22. Reminds me of Daniel Erickson joking about that Korriban storyline, when lightside players gave the artefact they collected for their trial to a weaker apprentice, then complained about having to go all the way back to the tomb to get another for themselves. But now we have at least one companion of each role, that reason doesn't really apply anymore? While I have no sympathy for people who complained about the example you gave -- I mean, what were they expecting to happen? Plus, I'd have jumped at that option -- I can understand Bioware just not wanting to deal with the aggro, but are people really going to complain about not having two healers (or whatever roles new companions may take)?
  23. Well I certainly wouldn't have bought her yet had I known I'd currently only get about 2 minutes of dialogue out of it, and I don't think that's at all unreasonable; I paid the cost and got very little of what I was supposed to in return. This is the first content-denying bug I've come across in the game, and the fact that it's paid content and still not on the known issues list leaves me pretty unsympathetic towards the game right now; good thing the coins I spent on Treek were accumulated Subscriber rewards or I'd be even less so.
  24. 2400CC and 300,000 credits well spent so far... I bought the CC unlock first on my smuggler and raised her approval to 10k straight away with gifts and hit this bug, then out of interest I bought the legacy unlock on my agent, didn't give her any gifts, had the settling-in convo and the same thing happened. I was starting to really like her in that first convo too, which I wasn't expecting to do quite honestly. Hope it's fixed soon.
  25. I don't know if it's a smuggler-only line but after slicing a droid on Makeb there's something like: "If you hear shooting and explosions, it's just a drill; and if anyone tells you it's not a drill, that's a drill too." And then during the victory speech after the Vice Commandant fight (for the mSmuggler) a woman in the crowd shouts out "I love you!" in the middle of the speech and without missing a beat he replies "Back at you, gorgeous.", which was pretty funny.
