I disagree. The basic functionality works. It may not have all the bells and whistles yet, but it all works. What I tend to find with a lot of MMORPG players is they are so used to their heavily modded and added on UIs that they don't even know what a standard UI looks and plays like anymore. That's not to say that SWTOR's UI is good. No, honestly it sucks. But it works. It's not something I'm going to quit over. They'll improve it. Same with trading. The story as you note is the finest I've seen in any MMO of the two dozen or so I've played. So I'm here and can wait on the other stuff.

MMORPGs are evolving creatures. Developer should launch them not when every bug is fixed, but when the product is in a stable and entertaining state. SWTOR met that criteria. If you disagree then I suggest: Perhaps you will enjoy this game. Good luck to you.

I had to reinstall from a particularly nasty bug, but don't want to wait for 11GB to come in if possible. Would just putting the disks in the drive cut down the data needed? I would guess yes, but not sure. I've experienced in other games situations where they changed the file structure of the game which made the disks worthless. Thanks for any replies.

You put my guild on Harbinger. I don't fault EA/Bioware for the Oceanic community choosing to use Harbinger as their PvE server. However, it has led to a situation where I have to make some choices which are not fair. To wit: 1) Do I abandon the character I started on the Harbinger, losing all the progress I've made; 2) Do I abandon the chance to play with my guild because I want to play at all. Certainly you're right people have the right to play wherever they wish, but likewise, I had no choice in where you put my guild. I started on first day of early access so I didn't know the queues would be this bad. I'm stuck in a catch 22. I would like EA/Bioware to consider folks in my position as I am not nearly the only one.

I usually play healers in most MMOs, but I'll tell you that healing in this game is a huge PITA. They need to add implied targeting as a minimum. There are other UI improvements that I'm sure will come with time, but I'm hoping that one comes very soon.

This was an awesome launch. Smoothest I've ever seen. Yes, they didn't let 1 million people in on day 1 and cause a clusterpluck of epic proportions. That's a good thing.
