  1. Explore the full map of each planet. If you find no enemy bases, there's no chance for PVP. As the previous posters mentioned, I got my first taste on Tatooine around your level, usually at a >10 level odds. It gets better. SWTOR has the gentlest penalties for dying in PVP I've ever experienced and has tons of alternatives (crafting, exploring, space battles, canned PVP warzones and Huttball) in case some area in your mission-rail is infested with the enemy. Don't wait for them to find you, hunt them down. It will be more enjoyable for both sides, win or lose.
  2. You, sir, are a genius and gentleman; I salute you. I must admit I lol'ed. My character has spent a lot of credits on Akaavi for said 'game mechanics'. It was worth every credit.
  3. Accurate answers really depend on your definition and the possible implementation of PVP. I voted Open World because I don't like the conceptual separation of PvP and PvE. Players are a dynamic part of the environment, thus PVE includes PVP whether it is coded or not. In my definition Sabacc is PVP; rival commerce is PVP; war, sports, politics and stupid general chat arguments are PVP. Open World is the only way to take PVP off the rail. There are numerous factions available if you go with Republic, Empire and Local Populace especially with Dark, Light and Neutral options. But I don't know if it can be implemented. The big question now is if you are considering PVP to be simply the martial conflicts or whether you include crafters, explorers, spacers, political roleplayers, etc., in the mix. What's possible?
  4. Another for Tallon Zek / Human Retribution, but not a major character. Quit somewhere between post-ROK and pre-next-expansion. HR was the best guild experience ever (*shakes fist at The Highland Army*). Ultimately the unofficial server forums were as much PVP fun as playing the game (Cry Me a River THA!). EQ was a true Love-Hate relationship. Wanted to love it, couldn't help hating it. Brutal PVE death penalties, gaping loopholes to the supposed team rules, total PVE gear-centric DIKU grindfest. It kept me out of SWG because I swore off SOE games forever.
  5. Another one for rewards for participating in open world PVP (PVP servers / open PVP zones). A month or so ago on Nadd's Sarcophagus a level 50 Sith character assaulted a Republic outpost on Tatooine, taking on players and NPC guards alike, energizing the usually static world in a way no script ever could. When I went to see what the commotion was all about I was ganked so fast I didn't catch the name or class. That guy or gal, and the Republic defenders, should have been given a sackful of commendations. And I should've gotten at least a lousy t-shirt with "PWNED by (name)" on it.
  6. I would definitely go with the Beryl Thorn / Risha swap. Kixxy would be a good option too.
  7. Me too. The first time I heard her "Stay down fool!" quote in battle, I thought she was talking to me and I stayed in crouch position after the fight was done.
