  1. Well, we did get confirmation of a new flashpoint for 5.3. Though I'm unaware if that was from the EA panel or something else...
  2. "I've been waiting for release for over six years! On the bright side, the frustraition has done wonders for my force powers"
  3. And maybe some friendly cheek squeezing like you're his grandmother. And for the females, a nice squeeze to see if the merchandise has survived.
  4. For me, the Trooper story does well enough on what it's supposed to be. But there's so much more that could of been done. I think two big flaws are the villain and the placement of plot points: Rakton is boring as hell and has little presence in the story even when he's being mentioned. I hate the Inquisitor story, but I can fully say that Thanaton at least was interesting in some aspect and had a presence throughout the story. Hell, I'm pretty sure you only talk to Rakton in two missions. Once in the Jaxo mission and again at the end. And playing though the Esseles again, I really wish Killran and Rakton switched roles. And with the plot points, I think the story started off with a major mis-step. Havoc's betrayal and you joining Havoc squad should not of happened at the start, instead this should of been saved for the end of act 2. Think about it. You should start the story off as the talented young soldier that slowly builds up a name for themselves while pulling together their own squad, the prologue and act one revolve around you stopping various operaitions ran by the empire, which slowly starts to hint at the republic having a high ranking spy in their midst. Garza takes a shining to you because your further investigation of this is strictly off the books. Throughout all this you have various encounters with Havoc Squad, who are constantly built up as these great Heroes (Tavus acting as your mentor figure who reacts accordingly to what he discovers you've been doing). You even get an opportunity to see them at work in a major operation, with them saving your arse once and showing just how effective they are. The story would take this opportunity to always compare you to them, as a lot of the characters you come across in act 1 say things like "Wow, you're just like Havoc Squad!" and "Urg, Havoc Squad would of done better", drawing possibly envy, jealousy or anger from the player towards Havoc Squad. Then act 1 ends with you kicking arse and earning your squad the respect they deserve. Act 2 is all around you teaming up with Havoc and another big squad to assault the Gauntlet, gathering Intel and hitting the Empire in strategic locations to prepare for this operation. Then Act 2 has it's awesome squad attack, you blow some stuff up, some people get wounded and you blow up the Gauntlet... Or do you? It's here that Tavus shoots you in the back and reveals his true allegiance. Explaining to you that Havoc Squad were the traitors who were supplying the Empire with all those juicy plans back in act 1, and since you've spent all of act 1 and 2 building up a connection to Havoc Squad and have been constantly compared to them, this reveal is much more of a gut punch. After this, you escape somehow and manage to get all the juicy details back to the republic (Or maybe have this mimic the end of the JK's act two and have your Trooper incarcerated in a n Imperial prison for a while before being busted out), where you finally see the war kicking off. At this point the Republic is reeling from the betrayal, receiving a crippling blow right out of the gates, they need hope; and so without warning Garza fully recommends that you become the new Havoc Squad. Act 3 continues as normal, but with more interference from the previous Havoc Squad members. And while you don't get to kill them yet, you get to ruin their plans as this act is all about showing that you are the REAL Havoc Squad now as you kick their arses every step of the way. And so on Corellia, just before you face Rakton, you have a tense and climatic scene. You and Tavus find yourselves all alone, where you trade jabs at each other; depending on how you acted throughout the story Tavus will either use you as an example as to why he defected, or show remorse that he knew you'd never join him, ending with him either calling you a stain on the Havoc name or telling you that he's proud that his squad went to you. With this, you'd then have that tense stare down between the old Havoc squad and the new Havoc Squad. Each member staring down their counterpart, ready to prove who's better. When you win, you get that choice on whether to imprison the Havoc Squad members or execute them in front of the rest of their troops. Everything proceeds as normal, you kill/capture Rakton, Saresh acts like a complete moron and you have one last scene as you are congratulated by Garza. If you chose to imprison Havoc Squad you see them walk past in chains. And the story ends with Tavus either glaring at you as he accepts his fate, or he joins the rest of Havoc Squad in saluting their replacements.
  5. My Warrior has trust issues with Quinn, but he still considers the man his friend. Plus, in my head canon, Quinn gave my Warrior tips about dating a Twi'lek I imagine this is their theme when they get under the covers, the Fem!Warrior treats sex like any other form of combat
  6. Again, this is why I think Quinn and Elara were specifically the companions chosen for this choices. Both are similar enough for their role to be interchangeable, it requires much less effort to have these two in the same role than for other companions you could choose between.
  7. I love Doc for the most part, his literal lack of **** towards how people dislike his attitude is very funny to me. And got even more hilarious on my Fem!Knight when he proposes to her out of nowhere ("I only teased him, promise. Jedi's honour!"). Though that conversation where he casually comes up with the idea to create a deadly disease and release it on the populous JUST so he can look good curing it stopped me in my tracks. "Wait, WHAT!?"
  8. Koth did play a part in the later story, it just wasn't a large amount, he was placed in a role to deliver some exposition, give a few witty lines and keep the gravestone a float as well as give updates on the battle. Which allowed his role to be interchangeable with Tora.
  9. Doc: Harmless flirting! I'd never step on another guy's toes, especially another who has a magic laser sword. Even us scum bag heart breakers have our rules! I me- *Kicked by Quinn* Quinn: I already know the joke you were going to make about me Doc: Ack, I've become predictable!
  10. Doc: Why did ya hit me? I swear you're not one of my exes... Quinn: Apologies, I'm not usually territorial. But I do believe this is MY thread Doc: Ah, fangirls. I completely understand; the public gets pretty demanding *Is kicked while he's down* This is so not groovy... Quinn: Again, sorry about that. Doc: Now that you got me thinking, when am I coming back? I know I have plenty of bleeding hearts waiting for my entrance! Bioware: SoonTM
  11. Really, that's interlaced with another thing I've noticed about a lot of the Bioware Games. People demand more consequences for their choices, but really they seem to only mean good consequences. A choice ending up with your all mighty PC looking bad? Bad concequence. A companion you like not agreeing with your choices and calling you out on it? Bad consequence. This is especially evident with Iokath. On the story aspect, I'm seeing a bunch of people complaining that Bioware is actually making their choice effect the companion they get.
  12. While Koth did come off as whiny a lot of the time, I respected that he actually had the balls to actually act on his whining and not just yell from the corner. Also, I wouldn't worry about Bioware taking that too heart, they're not afraid to have companions call your arsehole actions out.
  13. I think Quinn and Elera have a fighting chance here, since their situation seems similar to Koth and Tora; Two characters who are similar enough in skill set and morality to serve the same roles in the story. Where as the like of Vette and Torian were far too different for them to have roles in later story aside from the staple ''Love scene before the storm''
  14. How much Child support does he pay per server when all those Warriors get suspicious?
  15. Awww, you tricked me! I thought this was gonna be a Fairy Odd Parents joke... I go around as an RP drifter (I'm the idiot who walks into the cantina and tries to be quirky, but just comes off as mentally disabled), sucking at Galactic Starfighter, decorating my stronghold, Achievment hunting and some old Flashpoints with friends where we make of Malgus's baldness. So, maybe to find fun is a mix of attitude and company. I never expect to be challenged by this game, I simply expect to be entertained.
  16. To be fair, the line makes perfect sense for Marr considering how much the force has screwed him over. It would be rather strange of him to not come to this realisation. By this point, both Marr and Satele have had tiime to reflect on themselves and change.
  17. Well, she probably gets lonely out in the woods. And it seems Marr's Spirit is bound to her or somthing since it goes where ever she goes (Or Marr is stalking Satele because she's the first person not to fall to their knees at his voice)
  18. In that scene where she tells Iresso to close his eyes, imagine that she's had a past as a serial killer; then it all makes sense.
  19. I don't enjoy her voice, though I think she would of worked better for my warriors headcanon. He starts off the story as an arrogant and proud Sith, powerful, but inexperienced and prideful (He takes Vette's collar off, not out of mercy, but because it's an insult to think he needs a shock collar to keep a slave in line). By the end of it he's been humbled, gotten close to his crew, and becomes respectful of his allies and their contributions. Which I think is the best thing about the Warriors story, it's really the only class story that acknowledges that your character can change throughout it. I love the lines that let you reference that "There was a time when I didn't need a reason to kill a jedi... Now, that's changed..." as well as the whole confrontation in the Oasis.
  20. I was surprised with how bland the F!Trooper sounded. If I hadn't bee told before hand, I would never of believed it was Jenifer Hale.
  21. I think the Fem!SW Voice is what killed the Quinn romance for me. SHe's good at sounding high and mighty, but anytime the VA tries to make an emotional scene (Like when reacting to the betrayal, or comforting Vette) she sounds like a robot who's 'wondering if this is this thing humans call love' and when she attempts to be threatening; I only picture Anakin Skywalker ranting about the jedi.
