  1. This may seem like a silly question but I am considering going to a pvp server and figured I would ask it before I go and get ganked. I know in a PvP server you can be attacked out in the open world. I really have two questions. 1. Is it only the other faction that can jump you or can even your own faction do it? 2. On all of the servers I have played, Expertise was reserved for 55 pvp gear (excluding the lvl 10 expertise color crystals). How can I incorporate expertise on my toon without being lvl 55?
  2. Yes I was fully geared in 55 pvp gear, Oraban (sp?) Stalker is what I wear as a DPS sorc because I like the mix of crit and power. NO it is not augmented (I will not augment gear when I plan on getting rid of when I get brutalizer). Now I am also not saying I am the best pvp player by any stretch of the imagination, but I can hold my own.
  3. Gear aside, the fact remains is that the ranked players seem to think they are judge, jury, and executioner of anyone they see as inferior.
  4. Thats the thing though. I was in full 55 pvp gear, Obaran(sp?) Stalker, granted it wasnt fully aug'd brutalizer but it was still 55 pvp gear and was getting cussed out. Perhaps BW should put a valor requirement of say 80 or 85 for ranked pvp. This way by that time you should have full ranked gear and be able to do well.
  5. If it wasnt for the healers your butt wouldnt be able to do the 50-100% better DPS than 2nd place. So yes, I will always vote the best healer on the team unless I am with my friends then we vote for each other.
  6. Ok, I understand the purpose behind the ranked pvp system. What I do not understand is why people in ranked pvp have to be so classless. I queued for ranked pvp and I am in full 55 pvp gear. I got yelled at, cussed at, and even had messages sent to me telling me never to que for ranked again until my gear is better. Now I am sorry, but the last time I checked there was no valor requirement, gear requirement, or any other requirement except being level 55 to enter ranked pvp. So I have to wonder, why is it that ranked pvp players think they are so great that they can go around and freely insult other players.....and in case you are wondering yes I did report every single player who treated me that way.
  7. Part of the reason people leave pvp is the fact that the teams especially pug teams will not work together. Now in 55 pvp the problem is gear. Yes I know you need to pvp to get gear, but when you cannot buy 55 pvp gear until you hit 55 this becomes a huge problem. Now I just recently started doing pvp again on my 55 sorc. For about a week i had to be a healer, a role for which I have no experience or love. This was because my gear which was pve gear was getting me slaughtered when I tried to DPS. Now that I have my gear I can hold my own in DPS. So how do we fix that issue. I think we bring back recruit gear. Sure it wouldnt be as good as the 55 gear now but it is either that or allow people to buy 55 pvp gear prior to lvl 55.
  8. Back it up buttercup....Yes they are randomizing the spawns unless you manually change it. Great. I still think turning the turrets back on would make players be more mindful of where they are flying too. I support turning them back on. What I DO NOT support is teams (either mine or the enemy) getting points from Capital Ship kills. IF they turn them back on they need to do so without them giving either team credit for a kill.
  9. Aimbot you know I will always fly with you bro but I have to disagree. Turning the turrets back on in TDM from capital ships is needed. What is not needed though is points coming from Cap Ships killing enemies. If they could turn the turrets back on but not count the kill UNLESS A LIVE PLAYER makes the kill then I would be fine with it.
  10. My buddy and I are rolling a pair of shadows. He is going to be a shadow tank and I am going to be a DPS shadow. I was wondering which of the DPS trees provides the most bang for my buck. I just started going down the Balance tree as when I did a DPS assassin I went down the madness tree and did ok so I assumed that it'd be the same for the shadow. Any thoughts?
  11. You have done nothing but complain and NEVER once have I seen you offer a solution. So what bombers are gods in domination. Bombers can also be destroyed in domination, it just takes skill, which judging from all of your complaint posts about bombers on the forum you don't have. Now you say bombers are OP in dom. I could say the same thing about Scouts in TDM......ESPECIALLY that dang Flashfire. But you know what I did, I learned to fight against the Flashfire and can now go toe-to-toe against one. My point is this, each ship has a specific role. Bombers are for holding a node and they do their really well against you apparently otherwise you wouldn't be so butt hurt.

  13. a lvl 55 character doesnt mean a thing in GSF since GSF can be played from 1-55.
  14. So I guess with this post you are looking for either Eclipse Squadron or Damage Overcharge to come to JC on pub side and hand you quite a few of your losses.
  15. Then your only option at this point is to quit complaining about the bombers and their mines. I gave you a valid argument in favor of putting a finite number of mines in a bomber and how it would make it fair to everything else that has finite missles and yet you still say it is wrong. So what if it creates a deathfield if you will. Once the bomber is out of mine you dont have to kill the mines, kill the bomber and the mines go away like they do now.
  16. As a matter of fact yes I am. I see so many people complaining that bombers have infinite number of mines to launch and that there needs to be a set amount like other missles. If that is the case and the devs do put a specific number of mines on the bombers then they need to remove the limit on how many mines can be dropped. This would allow the bomber to use the mines they have arbitrarily and do something that all of you complain they don't....RUN OUT.
  17. In that situation it is possible you got hit by HIS SECOND seeker mine. Now I see a lot of people saying how mines shouldn't damage them when they shoot the mine. In a way I agree with you. If you are outside of the damage radius and shoot a mine by all means take no damage as you shouldn't. However, if you shoot a mine WITHIN the damage radius you deserve any damage you take. I also see a lot of people saying the mine shouldn't blow up when you shoot it......um why not? When you shoot a mine something weird happens......IT BLOWS UP AND CAUSES DAMAGE. What annoys me is when my mines go bye bye when I die. Just because I die does not mean my mines died. my bomber does not power the mines and therefore if I die my mines should still remain for their full time.

  19. That idea might work but it still leaves the problem of having to remaster a ship you already mastered.
  20. Sadly I will have to say that I have done that. Generally I do that to use the reqs I have earned on ships I do not fly such as my scouts and my GS, and until more recently my SF. Granted I have not bought CC to do this and only do it with my sub grant. I do not see how it would be too hard for them to do. After all they instituted the collections system.
  21. So I was discussing the idea with some GSF pilots I typically play with about allowing players to have access to a legacy hangar filled with any ships that the legacy has mastered. Notice I said mastered and not bought as that is important to my idea. Those who do play GSF spend their time perfecting and mastering the ships they like, but when they go to another character in their legacy they have to start all over. Now if we had access either through a cartel coin purchase or through the devs implementing it in code through a patch to all the ships we have mastered across the legacy I think this would bring more people to GSF which would in turn reduce que times.

  23. But what you are clamoring for is a nerf due to one build being a pain in your butt. I run all 3 bombers on the Imperial side and I have to tell you it is insane for a bomber to fly until they get their upgrades into at least T3 where they will finally be able to hold their own for their team. I have no idea how many times when I first started out playing the bomber how many times I got killed by a GS or scout as I was flying that slower than molasses in winter time ship to the fight. But now that bombers have a build that is showing we wont lie down and just fly a scout or sf or gs you all want to whine and complain. Like I said before, if you don't like the bomber sitting at the node then go destroy him. It is not very hard if you do it right. I also just noticed what your underlying issue is. You are in Eclipse Squadron. Your guild has delusions of grandure and think you all are hot to trot in gsf. That is until Aimbot, Swansea, Rhodogast, Mae'thon, and Tolgid come in and hand your behinds to you.
  24. I have no freaking idea why you all are hating on the bomber so dang much. The bomber is a very lethal ship, I will give you that; but ONLY if you gear it right. All of these suggestions I have heard are insane. One person mentions reducing a bomber's flight and burst speed so it takes longer for us to reach a node???? It already takes an insane amount of time to reach a node for a bomber. This post in my opinion was created by the OP for the sole purpose of whining and complaining because he gets his butt destroyed whenever he is playing GSF. If you want to get better play more and upgrade your ship. A bombers mines are useless when a GS can sit 15000 meters off and slug rail them to oblivion. Not to mention while he is doing that, the bomber has to worry about you little mosquito scouts and your 4 second lock on missiles.
