  1. If getting facerolled + triple shanked to <30% health by operatives was a once-in-a-blue-moon ordeal, I might accept that, even though it never happens in a 1v1 with any other class. Of course, it's not a once in a blue moon ordeal, and I find it hard to believe that every concealment operative out there just happens to be a skilled PvPer, while all those other players who chose other classes just, for some weird reason, aren't as good.
  2. To be fair, I don't see too many Operatives either. That's not because they are supposedly balanced (there not), but because the game has only been out for a month. That being said, I do subscribe to the opinion that Operatives need a serious nerf, because frankly no class can consistently take me down in a matter of seconds so quickly, regardless of level or gear, and have me stunned in the process.
  3. I have a difficult time accepting the common argument that Successful operatives are merely well geared + Adrenals/stims/et cetera. Why? Well, for starters, not every Concealment operative I go up against is fully geared with Biochem - Rakata adrenals/stims. In fact, the vast majority aren't. I know when I'm outplayed or outgeared, it's an apparent difference. Getting backstabbed and triple shanked to 15% health while all of my defensive abilities are on cooldown, while being CCed for the duration of the shankfest Operatives have going on isn't because of their gear.
  4. I feel inclined to agree that operatives/scoundrels are over the top. A lot of people seem to attribute their success to stims/adrenals/et cetera, but I find it very hard to believe that every Concealment operative I've encountered is fully geared with Biochem-Rakata adrenals and stims, even when below level 50. Hopefully Bioware's delay in nerfing this class is due to a disagreement on How to nerf Op/Scd, and not whether or not the class should be nerfed.
  5. I usually feel like I have enough time to get all my pvp dailies done, which is playing for around 2-3 hours on a weekday. Sometimes I get lucky and can finish up my dailies in an hour, other times (like today), it took me significantly longer. As of right now, I have no qualms with the current dailies in place (3 victories). Of course, if you consistently get a bad team (or you roll the Republic), I can see them being frustrating.
  6. I've only devoutly played Engineer and Lethality, so I can't give you much in terms of comparison with marksman. That being said, I have a very high opinion of the lethality talent tree, even for snipers. You're right in thinking it's a change of pace. Cover is anywhere from unnecessary to rarely used (depending on your preferendo), you have a very simple, effective rotation, and very high DPS potential. In my experience, the only hurtle lethality presents is energy management, which is significant to be sure, but not hindering. A high crit coupled with the apropos talents can make Lethal Purpose (your main energy regen talent) significantly more effective. I have very few complaints about lethality as a whole, and my playstyle of minimal cover usage and excessive mobility tend to net me better scores than I was earning prior.
  7. I haven't played an Operative yet, but I'm pretty confident both share minimal similarities. I wouldn't say one or the other is superior per se, merely that I've had significantly more success using a lethality build, in both PvE and PvP. Certainly, I had difficulties with a Lethality build in the earlier levels, so I respecced into Engineering, and at 45, I embraced Lethality again, with significantly better results. The people who say Cull is required to make Lethality good are definitely educated in saying so. I would wait until your 40 (or even 45) before attempting a lethality build. As for PvP, my opinions are probably different than most. I see a lot of people claiming to make use of cover as a lethality specced sniper, and while I won't criticize the choice, I don't think it's the best way to optimize using a Lethality spec. The majority, if not all of your cover dependent abilities don't complement any of your Lethality centric/specific abilities at all. So you'd basically be using cover strictly for the defensive buff, which in my experience, are negligible in PvP (at least, if you're specced into lethality). In Short? I don't advise using Cover at all in PvP as a lethality sniper, so I definitely recommend against grabbing any skills in the other talent trees that complement/require cover, such as Cover Screen/Ballistic Dampers.
  8. Doesn't that ruin the whole point of balance?
  9. Biochem is way too effective in PvP.
  10. I do agree that Warzones are not very enjoyable in this game. While I don't completely agree with the first, I will say that certain classes have a huge advantage on certain warzones, namely Inquisitors in huttball. One of the reasons I find Huttball so thoroughly unenjoyably is because Inquisitors (and presumably Sages, although I have no idea since I've barely fought the Republic in Huttball) have such an advantage in that warzone. Their plethora of stuns, plus their ability to engage in "super-sprint" (don't know the name of that power, but I'm sure everyone knows what I'm referring too), in conjunction with other powers like the ability to pull players too them (again, don't know the name), play into Huttball's traps and general clutter very well. Moreso than any other class really. I enjoy Voidstar and the Alderaan warzone, but I can't help but feel like Huttball was just not very well thought out.
  11. This. PvP is always going to be enjoyable for me simply by the nature of it being PvP, but there are plenty of things I would love to see Bioware implement/change, as it's currently not as enjoyable as it probably should be in it's current state.
