I have no qualms with PvP as a sniper, in fact, I love it. Warzoning with my friends (2 juggs and a Merc) is an insanely good time, as I get to provide tremendous cover fire for my buddies.. But I've noticed two things with two different abilities. I am currently level 29 and just got eviscerate -- a situational ability that can be useful. In PvE it works flawlessly, I debilitate and then immediately eviscerate for some great damage to any mob who is lucky enough to get close to me. I was excited to try it in PvP but now I look like an idiot standing there after my debiliate because eviscerate says 'invalid target'; I've even tried it on players who have been flash banged and mezzed and still it does not work. Does this happen with anyone else? Is it not meant for PvP??
My second 'bug' is with the ability Evasion... Either the tooltip is VERY misleading, or enemy players have the ability of Gods. It claims to make the sniper increase ranged and melee dodge rating by 100% for 3 seconds -- last time I checked, I should be dodging everything thrown at me. I use it in PvE and it seems to work just fine; I thought that maybe dodging something only happens if I am facing the attacker? (much like in WoW, yes I am a former WoW player). In PvP I pop evasion and it seems to be a waste of a GCD, because I am sitting in cover and my snipers evasive maneuvers seem to be lackluster at best, AKA I see no real changes to the incoming damage I am taking. Does this happen with anyone else? What is the deal with evasion in PvP??
I thought this would be a short post, but writing to my fellow snipers just feels so good. I hope these abilities are fixed or something so that my .50 caliber bullets hit the skulls of my enemies even more than they do now -- which is quite alot.
