  1. Am I the only one ranting and raging in his chair when an operative can single handedly decide the game? I mean in every hutball a halfly smart operative gets the ball, he happily exfiltrates at least half the map through fire or flies off an edge like a rocket for the other half. Not much different on the newer hutball map. debuff that ball or something please, that is really more annoying than 4 commandos or 4 juggernauts...
  2. As stated before here, I also dont see the tracer missiles personaly as a biggie for themselves, if I see I get fired at from distance with them or anything, Ill LOS it, or use whatever other abilitie I have to get in the opposite direction, knowing his time will come on another spot of the map. All classes I played yet (BH-Merc, Inq-Assa, Agent-Op, Warrior-Mar) I have means to disengage rocket-spam or any other ranged stuff. Being the one with the ball in Huttball or saying that you cant disengage because all on CD or whatever -well, thats circumstantial and has nothing especialy to do with Tracer's or anything else spammed at you. I had yesterday the honor to meet 2 Scoundrels + 1 Sentinel who eventualy decided to stick together, getting me down without me being able to do anything the whole time from 100->0 in record time. The only valid argument I always understand is one saying the Damage of abilitie X is too high, but I personaly dont see that with the tracer. Snipers hit me regulary harder in a shorter time than he having fired 4 of the rockets. And I want to say, despite what many say, I find SWTOR's pvp in WZ's far more team orientated than any of the other MMO's I played ( AoC, WoW, Aion, DDO) and to bring the example closer, he can just spam stuff when he is allowed to do that, being faced with 2 opponents going exclusivly for him, hes going down as any other would go down. If its 3 of them, well, as said...nothing to do with any abilitie they use.. I find the given example in this thread highly circumstantial and not representative for an overall picture of that abilitie being OP.
  3. Independent from any immersion impact chat bubbles might have to the better/worse, I personaly am used aswell to them and it is infact very hard to realize when one is adressing you in "say", especialy when you are in action at that very moment or the chat rolls down. I experienced it so far 3 times that we were engaged in a fight with a strong npc or in a heroic area, where people asked politely to be invited, but we didnt see it as chat rolled by and you are concentrated on the screen. As long as chat bubbles are technicaly there, you might still be able to activate/deactivate them in options to your convenience.
  4. All this crappy Threads "BW JUST KILLED SWTOR, If they dont do what I say, the game WILL fail" blabla. All that williy nilly what people write here is just THEIR opinion, you represent nothing, even if 10 lemmings come to agree to your point, ITS NOTHING! All this threads just gather forum-trolls who need to give their opinion to every doomsday thread or whatever other toppic there is where you can disagree with anything... in MY opinion: XRealm PvP doesnt kill the game. If they dont throw all of the servers in one pot, its the same as before, just a wider selection of pvpers, hence (hopefuly) shorter queues. You can still over time spot the remarkable players. Then you also know such things like "oh, mostly players from server "X", they are pretty decent at PvP, I should tread carefuly" or "oh, they are good teamplayers or you just find your Mister X from server XY who always beats you up, no matter what you do. Nothing changes for worse jesus... "The other" game has it aswell. No problem there and no Problem will be here, lets move on to the next thread "SWTOR WILL DIE IF YOU DONT DO WHAT I SAY ASAP...
  5. This is good written and I see it the same, but also you must see that the majority of "whine-posts" you see with top-hits on the first forum pages are usualy "IT WILL FAIL" "THE DOWNFALL OF SWTOR" or start with "I PREDICT..". Such posts are usualy nothing more but a pointless rant and also not a constructive approach to sharing your experienced motivations/demotivations/bugs with others, when you go along the line "the game is crap and actualy all I do is trying to sell that opinion in an attempt to cloak it behind "objective" facts which all others see the same" etc. The OP has a point somewhere between the lines, but still I think the fact remains that we bought the product in the state it is now, which means we agreed to it being in a playable state. Which it also is for many and for many not surely, but if you then think stuff could be different or ironed out, its not your call when they will do it, what they will do or how they will do it. If you dont like it, quit. If thats the way to go for EA/BW to keep customers in a long relationship is ofc another story, but really, a few weeks should pass before one makes Downfall assumptions or says he has nothing to do or encounters bugs..even if 100 games did certain things "better" before, doesnt mean you have to do it the same way at launch and if **** appears, give it 3 month til they got a picture of the whole, as from that 100 games also not 2 will be 100% identical by mechanics behind the scenes. This all is my opinion and meant mostly generaly not 100% related to the OP or you, just came to it as I read your post and the OP and some reactions. In the end, the "Swtor defenders" and the "attackers" often cross the line of good behavior in comunication and good facts get drowned in the chorus of both factions.
  6. I think no one can dictate anyone elses way to enjoy the game, but seeing other people around me on my server, there seems to be a lot who do the same -level to acertain level, then start another char to see the differences in playstyle, get hooked to story etc. and forgotten is reaching 50 on one char, hehe. I started now my 4th char, none of the 3 before reached 35. I cant help it, it just happens I think once you realize that there really is no need to rush, as if you would level your Xth char in WoW or wherever, where you already have stabilized, scheduled Endgame in your guild happening, you start to relax and peak around. And I love it. I support the opinion, that in a few month, the amount of 50s will have grown alot and that areas/flashpoints will find a higher population. Get out of the Routine you got used to by playing other MMOs, thats my opinion to most of the "flaws" presented in the forums. Enjoy it like your first MMO you ever played, thats what I finaly could do again, Bravo Swtor.
  7. All already named, maybe this aswell: - Send stuff to your storage. Like your companion can sell your gray stuff, give him a button to bring stuff back to your locker on your ship, I have mostly a full inventory but no grey items in it to sell
  8. I can see myself stuff the OP described in his post. However, there's a major difference in my opinion between Swtor and already existing games, majorly ofc WoW in comparison. WoW is already some years around. Swtor launched. This has impacts on many areas ingame. - Putting level 10s with level 50s in a warzone. The game is released, most yet are on the way to 50. WoW is in a state, where the majority sits on the highest level, waiting for content patches. Give Swtor the time and the 50s will outnumber low levels 80/70ish to 20 in every WZ eh? - CC in pvp. I did indeed play heavily pvp in Wow since release of S1 activly til cata, except wotlk . I like the pvp here very much and CC-chains are not at least the problem at the moment in my opinion, but missing teamplay/comunication. I loose most WZs rather to people being in the wrong place or not reporting an attack on a weakly defended position, than by being too low level or being cc-chained. Seeing as you get pulverized in mere seconds by 2+ classes sometimes, you should imediatly realize the value of teamplay here. This game seems for me to put a very heavy focus on teamplay. You wont get pulverized in mere seconds if you have mates around. I do see the potential problem if you come vs. -say 3 grouped pvpers on vent, who will burn down enemies while CCing another 1-2 constantly. However, everyone seems to just have the one 60seconds-breaking on damage stun and except that its for all just 2-4 seconds if i am not wrong. Snaring is another story, hindering you in a 1on1 maybe, but I am fairly certain, at least on the assasin and mercenary, that you can remove snares at a certain level/invested points and assume, others have it aswell. Also, I personaly think most WZs do not offer you a lot of 1on1 anyways and in a "Clusterfeck", I find as said the impact of snares<teamplay again. -Feeling like single player. I did stop WoW during Wotlk. I went to Aion. Aion did the same as Swtor did. They implemented a lot of heroic questing areas. I like this more and more when I play. You have tons of chances to group up if you like, not only for heroic zones and flashpoints, but also to have fun leveling together as here you get no XP penalty compared to the time you need. My wife however, just plays to enjoy the storyline, doesnt like grouping at all atm. You can group, you dont have to. Thats everywhere like that. Groupcontent however seems to be a lot more than other games offer, group conversations and holo-joining for it are also great ideas. Theres a lot of stuff to be ironed out, as the mentioned walking to/from your ship all the time, the auction house, etc. etc. Endgame, I cannot say much to it, never made it past 40 yet on any account we have, thanks to the immersive storylines I think most of us who already played MMOs simply lost the virginity and follow a trained pattern, like getting quick to endgame and preparing for raiding. On a fresh released game with so many funny and cool quests, I find that the wrong perspective on Swtor, rather one should find a nice guild and enjoy all the stuff together, I mean they do give you a lot of options for it, we just got blind to see them. If people say the game is crap out of the reasons I mentioned above, thats their opinion, for me, I see it as stated above and am currently rather anoyed with bugs. Anyways, a happy new year and may we have an enjoyable time in this game with nice people
  9. 1. They said from relasing a launch date on it would be the 20th I think. 2. They said by preordering, you MIGHT get UP TO 5 days earlier in. 3. They extended the early access time, till back to the 13th No one with a clear mind and just the new WoW "FAST FAST FAST QUICK OMG NOOB" guys would've assumed anyone but the hard core of fans would be allowed into Swtor in the extended 2 days... 4. If you dont like it, cancel your pre-order or dont subscribe. All this crying/doomsaying nowadays is pretty anoying, grow up...
