  1. Wow, somebody necroed my thread? I suppose I should feel honored.
  2. This might not actually be true. There have been rumors that EA, due to stockholder paranoia among other things, asked Bioware to change the space content from a JTL-esque system with heavy ship customization to what it actually now is.
  3. Jar Jar Binks has more lines than Lando Calrissian.
  4. This theme was in the Progression Trailer.
  5. I'm guessing that since skill armoring gives more Cunning than Endurance, it's meant for Gunslingers since they have the defensive bonus of cover. And since Patron Armoring gives more Endurance, I suppose it's meant for Scoundrels, who rarely, if ever, use cover. Yet I hear people on the Scoundrel forums advising others to stack Cunning, not Endurance, and therefore Skill Armoring is the way to go. So what is the usefulness of Patron Armoring. Was it intended for Scoundrels who still ended up squishy?
  6. The bolded ones really annoy me, the bold-italics mildly annoy me, and the italics would have been nice but don't matter much to me. The rest I don't care about.
  7. His thread is titled "Sages being ignored by devs" and I meant to just say "most versatile" and overpowered because of that, which has since been edited. My main point is that there are other classes in more need of attention. Also, assuming out of the blue that someone is a kid is not the pinnacle of rationality either.
  8. The Sages are not being ignored by the Devs. They are bar-none the most versatile class at almost everything save tanking. And sure, if there is a bugged ability, it should be fixed but don't claim your being any more ignored than classes like the Sentinel and Scoundrel.
  9. So, I'm the Balmorra Bonus Series, and I've basically used Corso since Ord Mantell. But I'm starting to get tired of him. I kinda want to use one of the other three, so which one is most useful for a Scrapper? I'm particularly interested in gearing up Bowdaar.
  10. So, as an Imperial, you go to Balmorra around level 16, and you touch down in Sobrik, the capital city. In this city, you see a lot of NPCs, you can relax in the cantina, do your quests, etc. It's an overall cool place to be and functions as one big rest zone. Around level 33-34, you visit Sobrik as a Republic player. Except this time, there are a bunch of enemy spawns just standing around in attack position, there are none of the Imperial quest givers, and despite the Imperials outnumbering the Republic two-to-one on many servers, there are no Imperial players. Even the Sobrik spaceport, which has four class instanced hangars for the Imperials, is crawling with Elite spawns for the Republic players, and there is one side-quest instance. My conclusion is that either Sobrik is an unofficial faction-wide instance with different sub-instances for individual players/groups or there are two different Sobriks in two different places on the world map, each only accessible through faction-specific taxis. Any thoughts?
  11. It's not really a big deal. If your Companion needs the gear, ask your group if it's okay to press the Need button. If another player could use it, let them have it. I play a Scoundrel, and it's about as important that your companion have up-to-date gear as it is for you. Still, it's better to ask first.
  12. Perhaps FR could be like either the class-buff or an ammo cells of the Trooper/BH. That way, it's always on, but you can still click it if you want to watch the animation. OP, your changes look pretty good, particularly the rolling blast. I think a buff on dodge (either longer duration or shorter cooldown) might be good as well.
  13. It's seems that whenever I'm in combat, my Scoundrel literally walks over to the mobs shooting Corso, and he can be at 75% health by the time I'm in range. Does the Scoundrel get any gap-closing buffs or abilities? An in combat sprint? Something besides a Saturday-morning jog? Thanks.
  14. Will there be any updates to restore the healing viability of the Scoundrel/Operative?
  15. Thanks, I went Scrapper to test it out, seems good so far.
  16. First of all, I know I'm significantly less effective because I haven't used any points yet, so please no one explain foolishness. Now, with that out of the way... Between becoming a Scoundrel and reaching level 25, I heard the rumors of the nerf and then heard about the actual nerf. Because of this, I wasn't sure what would still be viable, nor what parts of the nerf Bioware would likely change later. Basically, I'm new to the stealth-based playstyle and am curious, what is the best route or build to go? I'd like to do good DPS, but I've heard good and bad things about both DF and Scrapper. I've also heard mixed reviews about Sawbones. Since I'm sure other people are asking the same question, I'll update the OP with some suggested builds from time to time. Thanks.
  17. I'm using the same jacket as well. I also believe you and I are using the same blaster.
  18. I was just wondering, since a lot of Scrappers seem to plan on playing one of the other two trees until high level, how much it costs to respec. I plan on going Scrapper myself, but I may go Dirty Fighting initially for leveling.
  19. Now this I have heard, but unless the Empire outnumbers them 5 to 1, the server population is still very small.
  20. I currently have a level 23, almost level 24 Smuggler on Tatooine on Whitebeam Run, an East Coast PvE server which usually fits under the "Standard" population description, sometimes it is Light. Regardless, I believe there are about twenty people on Tatooine at the moment. With the exception of Coruscant, there are usually no more than forty-five Republic players per planet, and that population is usually closer to 25-30. In addition, I've also had a tough time finding groups for Flashpoints and Heroics. It just seems to me that the "Standard" Population level is more along the lines of "Light" or "Very Light" and it's a little misleading. Basically, I have two questions: What is the average server population? Is there any possibility of a Character Server Transfer in the near future? This is not a flaming thread, I really like the game so far. I'm just curious as to whether I should role on a new server, wait-and-see, or just cope with what is current.
  21. I think I read that Bioware is implementing a Server Transfer Service, though with no ETA. Is this true? I ask this because I am on Whitebeam Run, and while it technically has a "Standard" Population level, I feel as if nobody is there, and I may want to transfer to a more heavily populated server in the future.
