  1. Understood, The main point of this idea is more customization, not to have a new class of companion or a new story, but rather another way to be different or stand out.
  2. For this custom companion idea and to keep the development simple there would be no companion affection cut scenes or quest cut scenes, the voice template would provide the "statements" the companion says when summoned, fighting, and dismissed as well as clicked on. This would be a max player level option only.
  3. The voice acting isn't needed, that is what the second choice of template would provide, one of the voices already ingame. For example you create a human female, for companion template you choose Xalek, for voice you choose Vette. You now have a human female sin tank with Vette's voice. Perhaps not all companion templates would be available to make it easy, just the typical Force tank, Force DPS, Range Tank, Range DPS, Range healer.
  4. The best suggestions are the ones that make EA/bioware money and I think this one would be profitable. For $10-$20 the ability to create a custom companion using the character creator. The new companion would be based off two templates, The first template allows you to select an existing faction companion , this will give the custom companion its abilities and skills. The second template choice gives you the voice (speech, sayings, etc..), this will cover the interaction with the companion (when summoned, dismissed, clicked on) . A player can purchase a re-customization at anytime, thus this gives a renewable source of revenue. As far as naming the new companion, this can not be fully custom as it would clash with player's names, but perhaps 20 or so premade names to choose from. Apologies if a similar idea has already been posted.
  5. Would like to see a species change option as well, certainly expect to pay for it
  6. How does a bunch of pixels forget its name and memories. How about this, I would like the option to go into the relational database which contains my video game character's information and change the value in the species field from its current integer to a new one which represents the species I want. The above procedure would certainly not wipe MY mind of any memories nor would it force ME to relearn any so-called powers that I may or may not have.
  7. AH the roleplayers, the fact that it takes 20 swings of a lightsaber to kill a rebel slave in cloth doesn't bother you but race change does. So to satisfy those of us that want a species change and the RPs let not refer to it as a species change but rather a Quantum Leap. I am now in a alternate universe where everything is the same except my character was born a chiss/sith/whatever..... oh and many of us quantum leapers are even willing to pay real world cash for it, think mid year bonus for all you devs
  8. I too want to be able to change my species, either allow it as a one time offer for the legacy or pay to do it, just do it fast
  9. I am making the assumption that most players do a little of both pvp and pve. An open zone that allows for a battle every 4(insert some other time frame) hours, the winning faction members receive a buff to their primary stat, or perhaps some consumable that does similar. This way PVE/PVP players would have more incentive to PVP at least in this zone as it would provide them a distinct advantage in operations and other warzones. The reward could also be monatary/discount at vendors 'till next battle/social reward usable 'till next battle etc.......
  10. 1. Paid Race change, finance department will love this, if only 100,000 people chose to do it (5% of population) at $10 a pop, well there is your mid-year bonus for all you hard working developers. 2. Mask and hood, was there at beta, lets ignore the twilek for now fix them later. 3. Ship customization (cosmetic) war paint, visual modules like guns/wings/flaps/etc... 4. Planet events for both factions, lets get people off the space station for a while 5. Lastly lets not give in to everyone, keep some things, like the megenta crystal hard to get so there is some feeling of accomplishment, add more items like this Sorry if these have been stated before
