  1. Some of those reskins are now adaptive armor any class can use (including companions) that previously was class locked. This aspect is a great move on Bioware's part, and I'm sure they will do more of it.
Yeah, I realize that and appreciate it. I've always wanted the level 40 Knight PvP robes on my Shadow. I just thought that there would be more items similar to Nihilus' Mask... I guess that those will come in future updates.
  2. I was pretty underwhelmed by the clothing options, tbh. Reskins... ? Why?

On a universe so widely loved for it's aesthetics, you'd figure that they'd take advantage of the gold mine that they're sitting on and capitalize on detailed, "iconic" and just plain badarse-looking armor exclusive to the CS.

    Just my two cents!

  3. Completely minor complaint, but I'm just wondering if anybody on the development/community team knows the reason for the palette change?

Oddly enough, whenever a Jedi Consular creates their lightsaber, the correct color is shown in the cutscene and then immediately changes into lime, even in the game right now:

Even the trooper "healing beams" have the color palette of what the lightsabers should look like:

Totally minor! The change just seems odd to me and I was curious if there was a reason for it.

  4. How about you stop with the nonsense and spend your time actually working on the game?

After all, every 5 year old knows that he can't go out and play until his WORK is done.

The money spent on this could have went towards reducing continued staff cuts or even hiring some CS that a) cares about their jobs (but minimum wage will do that to a person) and b) actually has played the game (so they can understand and thus help us better).

When all bugs are removed, people's computers and graphics cards stop crashing since 1.4, and maybe one or two of the threads in the Suggestion Box actually have a BW employee's name on there showing it was read, THEN you can waste time with gimmicks and half-*$$ed "good will" tours.

it's not like a staff member is going to read this and then proceed to shout to the heavens "MY GOD, THEY'RE RIGHT!"

It's well established (or should be) at this point that, concerning major decisions, BioWare is going to do what they want to do. No amount of complaining is going to convince them otherwise.

The only power you have in that department is to subscribe or unsubscribe. That's it.

That being said, I appreciate these unexpected events and good on you guys.

  5. Force Sweep didn't get nerfed AT ALL in 1.4, in fact it was buffed.

    "Jedi Knight

    General

Force Sweep's timing has been adjusted; the ability now executes faster."

Still does the same damage that it did in 1.3 in a 360 degree radius.

  6. Uh... I just remembered this and don't want to make a thread about it, but I read that the "big butt" issue that robes caused on body types 1 and 2 for human males is getting fixed in tomorrow's patch, anybody know if that's true?

Can't remember where I read it, but I do remember actually reading it.

  7. People have said SWG and JTL used seperate engines, I dunno how true that is.

However the newest versions of the Hero Engine do support "space"....... and frankly upgrading the whole game to that might solve a lot of other problems too.

If all they do is mildly take space off the rails then it's never going to be what most people want.

Not true, unfortunately. Which sucks... JTL would be so nice.

  8. Well that's a bit of an assumption.

You have access to everything they decide you have access too, and the rest sells in the Cashshop.

Paying a sub should mean that you have access to all content, but it's not guarenteed forever to be that way.

The cost issue is a bit misleading too - as to be viable most F2P/Cashshop games aim to be getting ~$15 per month off their average Cashshop customers (which is the same as a sub - obviously some pay more some pay less).

Where are people getting the idea that I'm talking about way down the road? Nobody can predict where this game is going to be way down the road.

    http://www.swtor.com/free/features

That chart has BioWare themselves telling you how it's going to work. Since it's their game, I'll listen to their chart.

  9. I am more concerned with the response to the question about cartel coins. It appears that subs and f2p will both be required to purchase them. So, I am to pay $15 a month for bank access and access to workzones, fp's and ops? Seriously?

Nobody is required to purchase cartel coins.

If you're paying a monthly sub, you have access to EVERYTHING that the game has to offer (outside of vanity items and such in the cash shop, which will cost cartel coins).

If you're not paying a monthly sub, you'll be extremely limited. You can unlock certain aspects of the game that you enjoy by paying cartel coins, if you don't want to subscribe. Unlocking a certain aspect of the game (such as PvP) won't cost as much as a full subscription.

Subscribers will not be restricted from doing anything.

  10. it is beyond pathetic... someone should be getting fired over this. I hope Lucas Licensing and Lucas Arts is not happy about that. and I certainly hope that they light a fire under the devs butts to get them moving again. there is just no plausible excuse for this. I think its because they don't want to face a crowd of very unhappy people.. I think the devs just want to hide in their office and not face reality.

Wow, really? You think that somebody should lose their job and livelihood because a damn video game isn't going to be at a convention?

You're the last person on this planet who should be calling anything or anyone pathetic.
