  1. PLEASE please please... we need server merges and/or character transfers NOW... every single person on the team should be working on this matter... low population is destroying an otherwise acceptable game, yes, just acceptable right now... but it's on the way to something great. PVP needs ranking incredibly soon as well, but fixing the population problem will help save it and hold it over until you get ranking in place.
  2. I'm confident in my memory... but since your response is the only one and no one else seems to give a rats patooty, I've got to assume you're right. Thanks for the info.
  3. bump... no one else feeling a little robbed over this whole thing?
  4. I agree full heartedly, the populations are unacceptable... I do /who all the time and check the populations on different planets out of curiosity and I did a full tally on Friday night shortly after midnight and, while I forget the exact number, it was barely over 100 players. That's 100 players in the universe, not 100 on a planet.... last night when I did a "/who imperial fleet" around midnight there was only about 30 players. The fleet is supposed to be the social epicenter of this game and there are only 30 there? if you assume there is an equal population on republic side then there are only 60 people socializing. (btw, my server is The Maw). If Bioware/EA doesn't merge the servers then the social aspect of SWToR is destined to fail and no mmo can live without a thriving social aspect. Personally I'm tired of not being able to get groups together for heroic missions, flashpoints, and operations... heck, on Voss there is usually only about 8 people total... that means I would need half the population to sit aside what they are currently doing and come team up for a 4-man heroic. It's literally becoming impossible to enjoy every aspect of the game because I waste hours trying to form a group. PLEASE MERGE THE SERVERS!
  5. So, before 1.2 was released... there was Mercenary Commendations and Warzone Commendations. I'm not sure of all the way there were to acquire Mercenary Commendations, but the way I was going about it was to earn Warzone Commendations and then spend 30 of those to get 10 Mercenary at the pvp vendors. When patch 1.2 came out, Mercenary Commendations were done away with so they no longer exist... the option to trade in any Mercenary ones in your inventory for Warzone Commendations is available but the exchange rate is not the same as it was prior to 1.2... now instead of 10 Mercenary being equal to 30 Warzone, it is a straight 10 for 10 rate. What this means is that when I banked 1000 Mercenary Commendations (the cap) back before 1.2, I spent 3000 Warzone commendations but now that they made the Mercenary comms useless I can only get back 1000 of those. I was robbed of 2000 warzone commendations and I doubt I am the only one... does anyone else agree with me that this is baloney and we should be given back fair value for what we earned? As an aside, I'm pretty pissed that I was provided an in-game chat for this issue but all the in-game support agent could tell me was to go to the forums... he didn't seem to give one iota and said he had no abilities to refund or solve the issue in any way... the chat, all in all, was a waste of my time and his... I requested a copy of it be emailed to me so that I could have a copy of the multiple support links he had included in it but I have yet to see any copy of that chat transcript come through my email. I stopped playing other MMOs because of horrible customer service, and I'd hate to do it again since it seems like Bioware is going in a good direction with most of their changes and ideas.
  6. this proves nothing really... it proves that tracer missile is awesome but it doesn't prove that the classes are imbalanced because the other classes may have similar attacks. If anything, bounty hunters that chose powertech need a boost. If they don't want tracer missile to be such a powerful attack for mercs then the solution is as simple as giving it a longer cool down and/or a higher heat generation cost.
  7. personally I'm looking to the future where I expect them to take better advantage of social gear options... and to that speeder on Tatooine that requires social rank V if memory serves me right.
  8. well I guess since it's been confirmed, now I'll just sit here and patiently wait for yet another patch to give us something that should have definitely been available at launch... but hey, at least us early comers get a pretty little badge and title, yay right? that should make up for the neglection of such simple concepts. ::sarcasm::
  9. ? can you link to this? I haven't seen acknowledgment by the devs... great news if so though.
  10. agreed... seems like such a simple option that shouldn't have been overlooked... sort of like the option to remove/lower hoods on robes.
  11. I'm very annoyed with that fact that I do not have the option to get any gray or neutral gear. I'm a bounty hunter, so it only makes sense that I shouldn't hold any particular allegiance to some sort of light or dark alignment... if anything, Bounty Hunters and Smugglers should be thoroughly rewarded for managing to remain in neutral alignment throughout so many dialog options... I'm only 200 points away from 100% neutral and I'm level 32. I'm actually quite confident that I remember hearing the devs say there would be neutral gear way back before launch. If there is no neutral gear then all you're doing is forcing people down a path they may not typically choose, which can be a good thing but is also a rather suffocating method of story telling... it takes away a bit of freedom. so... Devs, are there any plans to incorporate neutral alignment relics and other gear?? or do I have to start making decisions I would usually not make and build a character that I may not be a fan of just so I'm not horribly handicapped? tags: neutral rewards, gray alignment, in between dark and light side, grey.
  12. oh, and maybe fix the current bugs before patching in cool new content... that's a bit amateur in my opinion.
  13. I just want to report/complain about a few things quick... I searched around and didn't find much so if I'm repeating what others have already said, I apologize. 1) I'm getting real tired of being booted from warzones for no apparent reason and then spawning on the fleet after being kicked out of the warzone instead of where I originally que'd from... I should be spawned at least at the med center closest to where I que'd from and I should definitely be given a message explaining why I was kicked from the warzone. 2) I'm running more than the minimum requirements, as is my wife, but the game is nearly unplayable on the lowest graphic settings... during the beta stages there were more options to toggle on and off in the settings than there are now, where did these settings disappear to? the ability to toggle off reflective surfaces would go a LONG way towards making this game run smoother on lower-end machines... an option (toggling reflections) that I've never noticed available, in beta or current. 3) I'll return to this... have to hit the road. (edit to continue) following another player with the follow command never works for more than about 30 yards worth of following... it's a waste of time to even try using it. 4) I'm confident I remember the devs saying, during development, that there would be gear for neutral aligned players as well as light and dark... as it stand now though you have to choose light or dark if you want some of the more awesome gear... in fact, the only relics I've seen in the entire game so far require light or dark alignment. I think this is a horrible flaw... it leads players to choose based on reward rather than what they would really like to choose in the dialog options... personally, I'm 200 points varied, standing firm in neutral because I play my character how I want and not just so I can get that cool light saber or whatever. There should be rewards for extreme neutrality in the gray area just as there are rewards for extreme light side and dark side... it's just as tricky to split it 50/50 as it is to remain loyal to one, infact, I'd argue that it's more difficult to stay in the gray than it is to dive full bore into one side of the force... and yet here we neutrals are with nothing to show for it. 5) we can toggle helmets on ourselves but not our companions?... weak. 6) I have a couple bonus quests that are literally incomplete-able because the situation that presented the bonus quest is not repeatable... I however am unable to abandon these quests so they are occupying my quest log, wasting space and causing clutter. 7) the "show usable" in merchant/vendor windows doesn't work correctly at all... at first I thought it was showing me things that my companion could also use but that's not the case. When I, as a Bounty Hunter, have Mako with me... if I click "show usable" it shouldn't be showing me light sabers and rifles... yet it is. Also, there needs to be an option to sort by level requirement, that's huge.
