  1. I have fears. I have a lot of fears. All of those fears could be put to rest if they put F2P on different servers than Subscribers.
  2. Long story short we've been having a little trouble with some Republic Players making life difficult for others when doing Poisonous Strategies in Ilum. Running up to the mission start point I was attacked. Being a Tank I can survive for quite some time so I went into survival mode. I kept moving backwards till the mob despawned but by that point I was sitting around 10k health. My friends knew what was happening and waited just around the corner till I popped up. You could almost see the shocked look on their faces as my friends descended on them with wrath. One made a desperate leap for freedom but was roped back in for a quick death. I then proceeded to drop my Stealth Probes and one of them was dead again shortly after that. We coordinated with another group who took the back side while we took the front and began killing the mobs. Sure enough the two came running in again and were met with not only hostile fire power from us but also the other team. After achieving our success we headed up the hill and sure enough they were heading down. A quick stun and a few moments later and we killed them again. By that point we were feeling pretty good as one of these guys always gives us problems at PS. We called it good and headed to the other mission. As we were coming around the corner we spotted three Republic players that were set up to gank others. My one friend decided to see if they would attack him and the moment they did we descended upon them and tore them apart. A few minutes into our mission we saw them setting up and going into stealth. We laughed ran up there and killed them a second time. About that time one of their friends was just getting to their gank spot but my friends were on foot. Speeder in hand I chased him down, stunned, and my friends tore him apart. Moving on to the last mission we spotted another Republic working on his own mission. Taking no chances we attacked and lifted him of the burden of having to run back to get his armor repaired. It had indeed been a day of vengeance. Only thing that could of made it better is if we could have looted their sorry asses and did sick things to the corpses. Either way we will be laughing about it for some time to come.
  3. I'm going to say 1.2 million subscribers world wide.
  4. Are we going to see Legacy Storage Lockers where all of our Legacy Characters can store and exchange between each other? Are we going to see an improvement to mail where we can have a drop down list of the characters we play, the ones who are in our Guild, and the ones who are our friends? Would really help... Just kind of saying... The mail thing sucks. Can we have an improvement to the Guild that would state what a player can craft?
  5. Up to a point but the dude pushed it past that point. As the O.P. said this guy was really going out of his way to create a lot of hate towards himself. I haven't seen him for the last week and I know that he was beginning to complain at the end about being targeted.
  6. To the O.P. I will tell you what happened. A small group of players both on the Republic and Empire side went to great lengths to get rid of him.
  7. If there is a reason to keep NP on lockdown the reward for Priority Targets IV isn't it.
  8. Says you. An augment kit requires 10 crafted items to be RE'd plus materials on top of that... I stocked up but still there is time and effort to factor in and I value my time and effort. An augment requires 4 purples and a few other materials. You will be lucky to get a crit hit if you have slicing 1 time out of 10... Total cost is about 40k plus time = about 100k per augment. Anything less than that and it isn't worth the time or effort to make them. You also have to figure in the recoup costs of just trying to learn the augments. To me 100k-110k is fair. This allows me to keep my stock on hand up and earn a small profit. 90k is break even point. Under 90k and the person is actually spending more than he is getting back. A person doing this is just trying to get rid of what they have and after they are gone the market will adjust back up.
  9. Wrong. The average chance of getting a success is 20% to get a blue. If I was to do 10 Re's then usually I should get 2 but their is ****** luck and I may end up getting none. At 20 I should at least have at least 1 but should have 4. Instead my averages are turning up less than 10%. I would be lucky to have 6 out of a 100 as it stands right now. Something is borked right now.
  10. Having the same problem... 40 Augments RE'd to get a blue and finally got 3 of the 4 I needed to move on to purples. The average is a little less than 10%.
  11. Skill being equal, a team with healers on it will beat a team without healers on it almost every single time. When my Tank and a certain healer team up the difference in wins to losses changes dramatically. 1 vs1 and my Tank will loose more times than win. So, by your point of view I should get up here and say that my Tanks damage needs to be buffed. The thing is I chose a support role and don't expect to win 1 vs 1 fights. I also have a healer and I feel your post is inaccurate. In PvP fights I know I'm making a difference. I don't go out there and just heal though. I go out and cleanse, interrupt, stun, cc, slow, etc. I try to play my character to the full potential available. If I see somebody running around at 10% health trying to get away to heal I'll finish them off. If I see somebody standing to the side and they are healing themselves out of combat then I'll throw a cc on them and let them stand there for 30 seconds more. I know healers who just heal and they pretty much all suck... In both PvP and in PvE.
  12. Currently at 19.1%, 54.6%, 52.8%. 24.5k Health. I have 11 items I can augment, a few items I can manipulate through Campaign / Black Hole to get higher defense / shield / absorb, a wrist and a belt orange that I can customize, and at least 3 items that will upgrade me to the next tier. My health should climb up to above 25k when it is all done manipulating. For every augment I put in I'm gaining a point in said stat. My Shield will go beyond 55% once I upgrade to the War Hero Relic and Augment it... Probably closer to 56%. With the Weapon and Shield upgrade from Campaign Gear the Shield should be at around 57-58%. I'm already hitting pretty close to 20% Defense and I still have lot's of room to go even higher if I want. Shield is more iffy as I'm already starting to hit the ceiling. My absorb though still has a lot of room to work with and I should be able to get to 60% if not beyond it. Realistically, my stats after buffing and stims will look like this... 22% Defense, 58% Shield, 62% Absorb, 25.5K Health. The next few augments will really tell me where I stand with Absorb and how much higher I can go with it.
  13. I don't see why they would nerf it. Gear drops on HM need to changed to reflect the challenging nature of this boss and I think LI (hm) needs to be taken off of LFG. Too many people in sub-par gear coming into this Instance for the first time thinking that it's going to be like all the other HM FP's. This is an Instance that changes you from a sub-par player to a good one. Had it not been for LI (hm) I would of never dived into Preferences menu to bind certain powers to keys. Now, I'm constantly tweaking trying to get my powers to go off a little faster, a little easier, and so on.
  14. I'm going to try and get as close to it as possible. Have a lot of room with Defense, not so much room with Shield (606), and I'm pretty sure I'll be able to get to 60% on Absorb... So, I'll probably be 25% Defense, 55% Shield, 60% Absorb.
  15. This is with buffs only and no stims, adrenals, or relics. The goal is to get to 25% Defense, 60% Shield, 60% Absorb. Currently at 17.64% Defense (299), 54.98% Shield (606), and 49.89% (303). To me 25k health is enough and adding anything more to it is just a waste. I want to get to a point where my Tank is hard as hell to kill. I'll keep the thread updated as I work towards this build.
  16. I actually really like LI (hm). Yeah, it's difficult but when you are done you are a much better player because of it. Interrupts are hardly needed or used before LI but you can't get through the Flash Point without putting them to good use and then you are so used to using them that you begin to use them in every instance. Cleanse, Purge, etc. are also valuable and separates the healers who can pass LI and those who can't. Had two healers in LI with both in Rakata and a well geared DPS and I kept dying on the droid... I called it and grabbed a healer who was much less geared and two DPS and we ran through it with no deaths. I do think it should offer better gear (different gear), I would like to see the end boss have another mechanic added (too predictable), and the invisible incinerate fixed (only happens at start of fight). My suggestion is to bind your fast Interrupt to the "F" key. If you heal then make sure you have your "cleanse" power handy. LI is a team effort. Some teams just don't interact that well together and others interact as one being.
  17. Because a Purple Grade 6 Box with some random less than Tier 1 equipment wasn't what I expected. How about a rare schematic or Campaign Commendations that you can accrue to get Campaign gear or even some BH commies but this worthless trash box wasn't it.
  18. I actually made a thread on this and it was locked for some reason. I don't know why as it isn't against the EULA or bypasses any of the game restrictions. It is kind of idiotic as it helps give people the names they love and gives the people the large server base they want. In Windows there is a program called Character Map. Just hit the Start button, go to the little box thing, and typed "Character Map". Now use the Map to create the name you want and then hit copy. Go to the renaming box and use "Ctr+V". I would use Notepad and create a file called "Character Names" and then copy the names you made into this file. Go to each of your characters and send them a mail of the name you used so you can mail stuff between them with ease.
  19. Instead of going 1vs1 why don't you play like you are on a team. It is what I do. I know I can't survive most 1vs1 fights but with another person I can survive most 8 vs 2 fights... The difference is that the person I team with also can't survive most 1 vs 1 fights. Together we become unstoppable. I'm not going much further than that because... to be honest I don't want to face the same thing when I PvP. You are an Operative that can stun and open attacks with an amazing array of abilities but because you are short sighted and don't understand the value to present your entire team suffers. Instead of worrying about "That Pyrotech killed me." You should instead be worrying about unlocking that door, how to get the ball carrier to the other side, taking that turret or stopping the group from taking the turret long enough for your team to get there. You can hold off entire teams at will, disappear and reappear as you wish, and be the winning force for your team... but you can't be a Pyrotech. You are a team player class. You are not a one trick pony but a multifaceted force of team stopping irritation and anger. Yet, here you are screaming, "I can't 1 vs 1 against Pyrotechs!" Here is a clue... You never were meant to. Stop trying to solo things you were never meant to solo.
  20. Show me the class that can hit for 10k in one shot and I'll show you one. Pretty much after reading this thread the OP main complaint is that their is a class that causes him problems... His main problem is Rail Shot which to get the full effect of you would have to place skill points into 3 different tree's and would cost anywhere from 7-8 points to do. I've seen him complain how he is an Operative and can't stop a Pyrotech from capping which seems kind of stupid when you really look at the skills an Operative has. It's not like a Pyrotech has stealth or large amount of stuns. The Pyrotech is a lumbering slow moving creature that can't hide, can't stealth, and doesn't have the ability to jump. You can see the Pyrotech a mile away and yet this Operative doesn't have the sense to Stealth, wait the 30-45 seconds for the Pyrotech to get there, strike from behind, strike again, strike a 3rd time, cover, fire grenade, stealth, wait for Pyrotech to try to cap, stun him again for another 30 seconds, repeat process all over again. I don't know what the OP's problem is but I would suggest to him to start looking at some "How to play an Operative." Guides.
  21. Yes, because making the fights so only elitist *****s who have no life can get gear is what is going to make this game successful... Maybe it's just me but I thought "Normal / Story Mode" was so that everybody could see the content not just a few Hard Core stiffs that have no life. Yeah, you see the game came out in December and it's almost July means that it's a lot more than barely one month old. Yes, the game is already on farm for some but for others it's not. For this game to be a success it needs more customers and your strategy is one of "driving them away." I'm sure that this is the strategy EA would like to hear from Bioware. "Our Long Term Strategy is for our Customers to say, '**** This Game" and make elitist non-working nerds feel good about getting gear that nobody else with a life can get." Here is my suggestion to Bioware... When Normal is harder than Nightmare then you have a problem. I suggest you fix it before you lose another 25% of your customer base.
  22. Have had that happen a couple of times and it sucks but also did it with my Maurader and it felt awesome. The Battlemaster clothing of the Maurader blends in perfectly with the door and if you are sly enough you can put the bomb on the door even with a few people watching it. Another big one that sucks is the turrets when someone finds the sweet spot on capping the turret from a distance. That was a big learning lesson there.
  23. And expect an earful back when you come in with 0 medals. Why is it that it is always the one who screams the most that seems to be the one that is always coming in last?
  24. It happens. Just report the players and move on. Had a Republic playing person who was glitching and Teleporting with the ball. As he did this he would say, "Ha Ha Can't catch me now!" Reported. I may not have been able to catch him but I'm sure someone at Bioware will.
  25. See, I believe this but the rage timers are too tight, the damage too much, and the mechanics too hard for a group of non-geared folks saying they ran it for the first time and have no problems because "they be skillzed l33t yo!" Mind you they have ran it 3-4 times over the last 3-4 weeks and they are sill in "unmodded 42-49" gear... None of them mind you have talked about the bugs that come with the droid (maybe 1 out of 6 times he won't bug) or the once in a while bug with the Pipe Jumper or the bug that can occur with the Dr. Here's the big question for the l33t players... Which power does the Droid use first: Plasma or Incinerate? What makes the Droid have a greater chance of launching an Invisible Incinerate? How many Utility Droids are there on the first encounter after the Droid? How do you get past the 2nd mini boss without fighting him? See, for someone who fights this Encounter 2-3 times a day, every day these should be answers that just pop out at you. I can see the beginning of this fight all the way to the end... From the bird getting eaten at the beginning to the DPS race on Dr. Lorek to the Thunderbolt you can get from him. I know which bug is a wipe and which ones I am able to get around by running in a circle. I also know you don't need a Tank to do this FP. Lost Island Story Mode is about as hard as Kaon is on HM... Lost Island Hard Mode with Range is about as easy as 8 man EC (sm). Lost Island (hm) with melee is harder than EC (sm) and not quite as hard as EC (hm).
