  1. I don't really want to see flying mounts, but I would like to see faster riding skills. I don't feel like I'm going that fast even though I'm on a speeder.
  2. No e-mail. No code. A little annoyed. I think it would have been better handled through the in-game mail.
  3. This is me. I was actually concerned because I didn't remember if I was signed up for the newsletter, but I am. I wish they would have made it clear, or better yet, sent the code via in-game mail. I think that would have been easier.
  4. Same here. Nothing, and I would hate to have to open a support ticket for this. I don't see why they couldn't just send the code to your in-game mail or something.
  5. Nothing here. Are we supposed to opt into some sort of e-mail or something?
  6. I am just enjoying the ride as well, but I don't think it will be unplugged anytime soon. Heck, SWG went down because of licensing. So, at least, if Bioware did lose the license that would at least leave hope for another game.
  7. Thank you for the suggestions Luniara. Remnants of Hope sounds right up my alley based on their website. Now if I can just get registered correctly.
  8. Hello, I've been in and out of the game since launch, but I think the reason I always left is that I wasn't part of a guild and didn't have that social aspect. I'm looking for a social guild that is first and foremost Star Wars fans and gamers second. I don't have a lot of time to devote to the game (MAYBE two hours a day) due to real life responsibilities, I am in US CST and primarily play in the afternoons/evenings and weekends can be more or less depending on real life stuff going on. Thank you for your time and "May the Force be with you."
  9. Well, I'm slowly leveling one character and I like to complete everything besides the Heroic quests, so I'm almost always two levels above what I'm currently working on.
  10. Two things I'd like to throw into the ring. 1. Why are certain fans, all of a sudden upset, about this anyway? The entire EU was never Grade-A Canon (and therefore Star Wars Canon by the actual sense of the word) but has always been part of the continuity. They haven't killed it with fire, the EU is now Legends. 2. Now that I have that out of the way, I am a little concerned that at least things this far back in the timeline weren't just kept out of the Legends branding. I don't think it would have really messed with anything they are trying to do with the new movies going forward.
  11. I think the pace that things are being accomplished right now really isn't that bad. I will say that SWTOR has an interesting opportunity to have this game up to standard* and have a major expansion ready for when Episode 7 hits. The game could see a major boost in both population, goodwill, and revenue if this were done effectively. * "Up to standard" referring to the myriad of things that supposedly made many people leave. This is rather hard to nail down, so thus is hard to tackle.
  12. Check your inbox. Due to experiences both in-game and with EA/Bioware's supposed CS, I have changed my stance on the the way this game is heading and RotHC.
  13. I never said there was a problem with people wanting more information about the expansion. I don't have a problem with prudence, so don't put words in my mouth. And your welcome for the smile. The only successful game that I have ever heard of that gives content for free to subscribers is EVE Online. I just don't get the gripe I guess. Sure, they went back on their word. Then vote with your wallets and unsubscribe. I love Star Wars and SWTOR enough to stick it out and see what they are going to do now that F2P is out of the way. There was no contract that said they would release it for free, maybe an implied one, but no one undertook actions in reliance to that implied contract that they wouldn't have anyway if they were enjoying the game. "Free? Pay or pay not. There is no free." <---
  14. Please just explain to me your reasoning on how the $10 content should be free to subscribers? Is it how small it is? The price? A combination? I recently came back to the game and resubscribed. I heard that supposedly Bioware/EA had said Makeb would be a free content update. Now it's not. Guess what? Sometimes you have to pay to keep things going and I am sure this is going towards the numbers that corporate is looking at to decide the amount of future resources into the game. LOTRO subscribers have to pay for expansions, EQ/EQ2 subscribers have to pay for expansions, and WoW subscribers have to pay for expansions. Just because the content is small doesn't mean it isn't an expansion. People have been trained in the past decade to consider an expansion to double the size of the game. Well that isn't always what an expansion does. Heck the Battlefield 1942 expansions added a small amount of weapons and a few maps each. Overall, with all of the expansions to that game, it maybe doubled the size of the game. Maybe. Get off your horse, or speeder, or whatever you're riding. If you don't want to pay, don't. If you do end up paying great! I pr-eordered to show EA that this game is worth putting resources into. Then and only then will this game receive the staffing and additional resources it desperately needs. The MMO industry, especially players are set in this cycle of "Oh no, this game is dying! This game sucks! Can't wait for [insert upcoming MMO here] it will wipe the floor with this game!" Many don't want to stay and try and vote with their wallets that the game is worth the effort. WoW at launch was not the MMO pedestal that is is today, far from it.
  15. In the perfect situation what I would like to see is either instanced housing right off the street like EQ2, or instanced neighborhoods. The housing system that I'd like to see is like the one EQ2 has, where you can manipulate almost anything. No hooks like LOTRO, please. To me hooks stifle creativity and don't let me make my house my own. I don't think Bioware/EA really have a clue how much revenue SOE makes off of their EQ2 housing system, between housing items and sets in the cash shop to actual premium homes that you can purchase. I know it won't happen this year. Right now Bioware/EA needs to focus on getting their numbers up a little, but then they should shoot for sustainability, like player housing etc.
  16. There are supposed to be other systems as well. He directly says that in the Makeb portion. Now what that means, I have no idea, but I'm going to be optimistic.
  17. Liked the State of the Game, especially if everything holds true. Noticed that there will be several systems in the RotHC. Glad to read that. Open World PvP taking a back seat? Eh, ok, I can wait, but I would love to see this get some attention eventually.
  18. Looking back at my post, I may have come across as a little caustic and I apologize. I guess I was just surprised as I don't really consider WAR to be that old. Sheesh I remember Beta, Open Beta, Headstart, and getting my collector's edition, guess I feel old now. Man that game was so close yet so far away. Text book example of what happens when the developers try to get too creative instead of enhancing the box (DAoC's RvR which is where WAR got it's RvR from) that was already great in it's day. Like I said, I agree with several of your points besides the slow leveling. I'm one of those completionist people so I continue until I complete a planet's story line which makes my leveling slow down a whole lot, but it's more self imposed, hence why I'm out leveling content that is new to me so easily.
  19. It seems like that to me as well. Maybe I'm just crazy.
  20. I don't see how you are having that problem. I'm outleveling quests, that being said, I do end up doing most of the heroic missions. What? Wait. . .What? Please look up Dark Age of Camelot (DAoC http://darkageofcamelot.com/) before making such claims. It's great that you consider Warhammer as such, but wow. Really? Not being rude, but in a post where you try to show your "MMO Credentials" at the beginning it just seems strange. Entitled to your opinion though good sir! I completely agree with this. Why this hasn't been done yet baffles me. Players are willing to give BW/EA money. My marketing degree is crying right now.
  21. OK. I completely understand the frustration of everyone one the forums but to say that the developers put 15 minutes of work into the day is ridiculous. The problem isn't the work they are doing, it's the direction behind the entire project. Management needs to be given a dose of reality or switched out, it's not the team itself to me.
  22. I'd submit a ticket and maybe e-mail/call support. I'm sure they can help you.
  23. I had the same thoughts as well. However, I think it's not just a test for us (to see if they can get it together) but also a test for EA to see if this game is still worth spending resources on. That's why I pre-ordered it, beyond the fact that I think it sounds cool anyway and I'm a huge Star Wars fan. I want to show EA with my wallet that this game can be worth it for everyone involved.
