  1. The marauder and juggernaut skills are particularly useful. Not unusual to see dual lightsabers flying all over the place in warzones now... And oh, what a surprise! It's the Sith Warriors who got the good stuff yet again...
  2. This is exactly what I understood to be Bioware's overall intent with their changes to the Bolster system. They wanted to remove as much as possible the unfair advantage that gear was bestowing on individuals over newbies. The god-awful PvP experience for fresh Recruit-geared 50s (and even those who had maxed out their ranked and ordinary warzone commendations) was pushing players away from warzones, thereby potentially increasing queue times and ultimately removing Ranked queues from some servers entirely. The changes with yesterday's patch -- which will further refine the benefits of wearing Partisan/Conq gear over ANY PvE gear -- should hopefully give the PvP 'veterans' something to work towards again.
  3. I'm not sure if this is the answer you're looking for, but the new equivalent of Molecular Stabilisers are found as drops from l.55 HM Flashpoints -- not from RE'ing high-end armour modifications.
  4. The exact same thing happened to me for a Reflex Armouring 28 -- not easy to come by, so was really happy when the RE appeared to succeed, but then so furious when the shiny purple recipe didn't appear in my crafting list. I've BUG'd it -- but not really expecting any corrective action from them
  5. I've stopped doing Treasure Hunting lockbox missions, since all they do is take up inventory space.
  6. So let me get this right: 1. you don't have a level 50 Merc, 2. you have never played a level 50 Merc, and 3. don't intend playing a level 50-55 Merc? Now, your reasons for all 3 of these scenarios may be valid in your own mind, but they don't give you authority to pontificate about the positive or negative status of the Merc in either endgame PvE or PvP.
  7. Yeah it just wasn't op since 1.2. Now the babies got their toys back, maybe the QQ will stop....?
  8. Indeed, the Necromancy is strong in this one...
  9. The fact that I'm holding two glowy green pistols doesn't seem to make any difference to the Sentinels, Vanguards and Guardians who regularly focus me -- which to be fair, is supposed to be their job.
  10. Providing the increased reputation levels only mean more fluff and inconsequential re-skinned adaptive gear, what's the big deal?
  11. Marvellous -- love this! Pity you didn't continue the tale with Yoda coming to the two noobs' rescue...
  12. The Sith Inquisitor class (which is specifically referenced in your quotation) is made up of the Sorceror and Assassin advanced classes. And we know how much Assassins like to use their double-bladed lightsabers...
  13. Haha, not exactly my definition of "fun" to be honest, but it certainly feels as though you contribute way more to the overall result as Bodyguard than you do as either Arsenal or Pyro.
  14. Yeah, as Sinsavz says, the game update 2.0 (which is on the PTS at the moment) will introduce a fairly radical overhaul of the interaction between all of your main stats: Aim, Power, Surge, Crit, Endurance & Alacrity. Currently on the Live server though, you could follow that order of importance as a rough rule of thumb, with the obvious caveat about the particular skills/talents you choose. But given that it's all going to change "very soon" [TM], I would hold-off from making any significant investment into shifting your stats around too much until 2.0 hits our servers.
  15. So if I can summarise: i. if you are a Bodyguard/Healing spec, the tank companions are the best for Heroic-level content. Otherwise, you should be able to waltz through more simple content with a properly-geared DPS companion. ii. if you are a DPS spec, the healer companion is optimal, since your gear and her healing will allow you to tank and destroy most opposition fairly easily. Doubt you'll be able to solo a lot of Heroics unless you have very good gear for your companion and above average Presence. Certainly, that's how I managed it back when I was levelling
  16. I recall there were some low-level vibroknives and shotguns from the Armstech craft that were actually broken, where the developers admitted that due to a bug, they could not proc a higher recipe -- no matter how many you Reverse Engineered. Of course, just imagine how many greens people trashed in the hope of improvement before they found out this little nugget of information (myself included...)
  17. This clearly wasn't a waste of a bunch of other people's time, since it allowed them to brain-dump all they seemed to know about statistics, average, probabilities and of course, Large Numbers. Just because you thought the thread was inane, doesn't mean to say everyone else did. And as the guy a couple posts above me rightly pointed out, the dissatisfaction is not actually directed to the RNG, it's directed to the virtual griefing that the game developers have introduced with this feature of crafting, that benefits some and crucifies others, in seemingly 'random' proportions. Not exactly a 'fun' aspect of the game at all when you think about it.
  18. The 'OMMEE TOPPEE' one is definitely me. I find myself talking to myself in random NPC Huttese phrases all the time -- it's extremely disturbing at times! Thankfully, no one else has heard me to do this yet...I hope!
  19. No way -- the funniest lines definitely belong to Gault (BH Companion).
  20. Well I'm glad some people realise this! This really bugs me when I'm on my healer and I see some random DPS guys just taking their pick of targets exactly the same time as when the tank rushes in -- no waiting for CC, no waiting for build-up of aggro. And inevitably, the DPS pulls aggro and puts pressure on everyone else. Very frustrating. But I suppose we'd get bored of an easy life, huh?

I must admit though, I do inwardly groan when I see a 'grey' Level 10 who hasn't even chosen his Advanced Class yet appearing in the same team as me. Don't usually make any comments in Ops chat -- and that's not because the Ops chat usually isn't working... It also appears that F2P'ers don't get the Sprint skill now until level 14 again? It's amazing how slow they move!
  22. That would suggest you've not read any of the preceding posts in this thread.
  23. Haha, I've had this quite a few times before as well. In what is supposed to be a team- & objective-based instance, having complete silence in the Ops chat when 1 or 2 people are trying to lead or suggest some solutions, is really frustrating. And of course, from your best intentions, you get portrayed as the whiney, *****y bad guy -- go figure...
