  1. Personally, I would put points whever you want (crit is nice at low levels) until lvl 20, then respec to get sucker punch in Scrapper. From there, use Theran Cedrax from the time you get him and keep going scrapper. Bowdaar or corso are also nice if you want to kill a little faster, but don't mind stopping to rest a few seconds between fights.
  2. I go back and forth on this... Right now I'm using 1x BM relic and the matrix cube since I have a hard time giving up that 72 extra cunning. It is really nice to be able to hit 2 relics only 3 seconds apart, though... so it will come down to preference.
  3. According to BW, that will delay the next GCD. Thankfully our class doesn't have any animations that I know of which have that issue. The worst one I've seen is trooper mortar volley... the animation goes for almost a second after the channel is done.
  4. It's definitely worth keybinding every ability you use. Try expanding your current keybinds and using modifier keys like shift and control (both for keyboard and for mouse buttons). I have 36 abilities keybound for PVP with a few that I swap out for PVE-only (to avoid 40+ keybinds) and use every single one of them over the course of a warzone.
  5. The animation for back blast is less than 1.5 seconds in duration and the global cooldown is 1.5 seconds. You are not getting a longer delay between abilities than anybody else. You may come from another game (like daoc) where animation time is quite literally the delay between attacks, but that is not the case here. You are waiting precisely 1.5 seconds after hitting the ability before the next one can begin, whether the animation is .1s or 1.5s.
  6. KO still allows the longest actual stunlock in which we can deal damage by opening with back blast into dirty kick, then a vanish > shoot first when they come out of the stun. Regardless, losing KO isn't going to bother me too much. It's more fun when they fight back right away.
  7. Yep. Most noticeable with back blast. You will see the enemy's health go down the moment you hit the ability, way before the actual shotgun blast goes off.
  8. You can get them in champion enforcer gloves/helm, some columi level items... I got 3 of the ones I have from the gunslinger offhand weapon that drops off last boss in battle for ilum hardmode.
  9. Nothing better than taking those pesky sith droids out of the fight in warzones.
  10. This is very close to the common 23/18/0 and 23/16/2 hybrid builds. Works great.
  11. Once you've played the same game for 8+ years and they never update the UI/controls/camera and such to the much more fluid options in newer MMOs, you feel the need to move on. That's how it was for me at least. I would still take daoc over this game any day, but every time I log on to play I am tired of the archaic interface within minutes.
  12. I've done a few hardmodes with only myself and 1 other scrapper for DPS and we never once ran into an enrage timer. Considering the enrages come pretty quick in this game I don't think our damage output is horrible. I do think R-DPS like slinger/sage/commando will beat us out on most encounters with less effort, though. Pretty much every class has to use a low energy or energy regen ability between heavy hitting attacks to keep their resource up. Scoundrel isn't special in this regard.
  13. You guys can of course do what you want, but I am not lying when I say I've never had a tech attack resisted with only 51 accuracy rating that comes on the BM earring. http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii144/sparks03max/stats-1.jpg Just trying to help here... Said about all I can say.
  14. Eh don't know if this helps. Full BM except for 2 slots, all enhancements replaced with 23end/34power/48surge. I regularly get 7300-7800 on champion level geared DPS assassins and sorcs when their bubble is down with a red buff or expertise adrenal + power relic.... Was also getting 10k crits before consumable stacking nerf. http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii144/sparks03max/stats-1.jpg
  15. They are still restricted to a 1.5 second global cooldown just like we are. Their animations may appear faster on some abilities, but the global cooldown remains in effect regardless of this.
  16. Sleep dart has an additional requirement that slice droid doesn't have, and that is your target being out of combat. Slice droid in its current form is a more powerful CC since it can be used in combat, and thus has a cast time and can't be used from stealth.
  17. I still get ~7k crits and the 5k heal medal every warzone as DPS spec without having to stack a red buff + biochem adrenal (and 5k dmg medal, 7k+ heal crits as 31 point sawbones). As I said, I prefer the higher sustained benefits of using the expertise adrenal. If you really want to keep going on and on with this, can you just send your next reply as a PM? We're off the topic of this thread.
  18. In terms of absolutely maxing out your burst damage for 15s out of every 3 minutes, you are correct. I personally prefer having more total uptime on high damage output and extra damage reduction via the expertise adrenal. If you prefer the other way, you are not wrong for that... so let's please just drop it and get back on topic. Considering the OP of this thread is a sawbones healer and that is the question at hand, I'd wager that he would prefer 15% damage reduction and 15% healing for 25s over only a healing boost for 15s. This is keeping in mind that red buffs take a while to spawn, can be grabbed by other players, can't be used reactively like the expertise adrenal can, and he is not too worried about using "Heal first" from stealth for max healing burst. edit: furthermore, he edited the original post to say PVE... so again, depends on current stats. Power adrenal is a sure bet if you're already close to hitting diminishing returns on surge or crit.
  19. The chance to resist is 0%. You are probably looking at damage reduction to internal/elemental. I can affirm that I have never had a single attack resisted over a basement-dweller worthy amount of hours PVPing with the special exception of the assassin 100% tech resist bubble with only 51 total accuracy rating (101% tech accuracy). This is a screenshot taken on my Sage... http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii144/sparks03max/defense.png
  20. You can also stack the rakata adrenal with a red buff while the expertise adrenal doesn't stack, but it's hard to ignore the 10 extra seconds of buff duration (15s vs 25s) and the 15% dmg reduction 15% healing increase on top of the 15% damage increase.
  21. My sucker punch tooltip right now shows ~1800 for max damage with the occasional ~500 extra. Wounding shots is ~1200 for the white hit and ~500 for each internal hit. The white hit gets avoided/shielded very often, greatly reducing the damage advantage. In cases where it is avoided, sucker punch soars ahead and when it's shielded they are pretty close. When neither happen, yes wounding shots hits harder. You may find using sucker punch boring, but I find using 2 high energy dots setup just to use wounding shots tedious. I mean... there is some preference here, but let's keep in mind that you can get sucker punch and emergency medpac/triage and be a much stronger healer than when you spec for wounding shots for a situational damage advantage that requires setup and higher energy use. If you like dirty fighting and want to keep using it, I am not trying to stop you. Please do as you wish... but it's an uphill argument to say it's a better hybrid tree than scrapper.
  22. Sadly, it is useless for some classes and useful for others. Accuracy does nothing against damage reduction, only chance to avoid/resist. Remember they also gave us the ability to remove the accuracy enhancement and put others in.
  23. If you mean for PVE, then surge or power are good depending on your current stats (surge hits diminishing returns very fast, power has no diminishing returns). For PVP, there is nothing even remotely close to as good as the warzone expertise adrenal (10 warzone comms each). Not only is it 25 second duration instead of 15 seconds with biochem adrenals, but the bonuses given by it are immense compared to biochem adrenals.
  24. Log into the game and hover your mouse over your "defense" stat. Look at how much resistance chance you have. All tech attacks have a base 100% accuracy without any accuracy rating. All classes have 0.00% chance to resist.
