    which is why i stated balance issues need to be taken care of first, or no arena would be fun.
  3. yeah.. as a jug/gaurd a sniper/slinger is going to be a hard counter for you.. mara/sent can usually take care of them but they need cd's to do it. your best bet is to LoS and avoid them.

    while i'm not a fan of arenas, it's not a horrible idea. but NEVER go 2's.. 2's were always a joke in WoW. i say start with 4's.. then move on from there. 4's would give a good dynamic to team builds. but until there are some balancing issues taken care of, no arena would be fun
  5. I play madness spec full augmented WH sorc. I only play PVP. 1. How do you think your Sorcerer spec is perceived by other classes? We are perceived as weak DPS that's an easy kill. Also that we are useless to have in rated WZ due to PT are far better DPS and mara are better DPS with more survivability. 2. How do you perceive your own spec? Fun to play with a decent skill cap to play successfully. We are kiting machines when it comes to single target. although, single target DPS is severely lacking when compared to other classes. Little to no burst for either DPS sorc spec. Pyro PT is our hard counter due to the inability to kite them. Have 50 marauder I use for rated due to no one wanting sorc DPS. Also have 50 op heals for rated as they are far better for PVP heals. Sorc is just not good enuff for a rated team as other classes can do our role better. I believe we are still viable. But it is still optimal to have a PT or mara instead of sorc DPS, and op instead of sorc heals. This makes getting on a decent rated team near impossible.
  6. thanks, but this post is degenerating down to name calling and no one's opinion is right unless it's their own.. as it is in all mmo forums.. only thing i've been posting is that the resolve system is not broken.. it works the way it's supposed to. some likes it and some don't.. i've had my ups and downs with it myself.. but when you start to learn to use it to your advantage, that's when it starts to grow on you. and by this i mean offensively and defensively. but some people will never learn to do this.. what that means is unless they get rid of the system, these types of threads will always be here.
  7. because sorcs are not as mobile healers and not as effective due to interupts... has nothing to do with resolve.. which the person i was replying to was implying with his post...
  8. lol, my sorc is my main and has been heals and dps... i only made my op healer cause it's better at healing on the move... and i've been defending resolve..
  9. i've been in the situation you are talking about with full resolve and seen jugs and mara do the annimation and dmg without the stun effect.. it's a channeled stun... and like any stun you can activate it and you will do the damage but the stun effect does not work.
  10. then my force choke is broken.. i have NEVER been able to choke someone with full resolve.. lol

  12. the problem is people like you say it's broken, when it's not.. it works perfectly..you and many others may not like the system, but that doesn't mean the system is broken.. there is no part of the system that doesn't work as intended. stuns, mezz, and knockbacks all fill resolve, and none of those work if the bar is full... in no way is the system broken. it works perfectly the way it was designed.. you may not like the design of resolve, but it's surely NOT broken.
  13. lol... learn to LoS buddy.. my mara has no problem closing the gap in any wz... mainly because i LoS my was to the target... and the same for my sorc.. any good melee has no problem closing the gap on me forcing me to use cc to kite them.. which at that point it boils down to skill... my ability to kite vs their ability to close and burst... vs a good melee it's a crap shoot.. against a bad one i win..
  14. well TTK could easily stay the same and them just add a pvp relic with a 2nd break on a 2 min cooldown and that would solve alot of the stunlocking problem.. just make the relic no stat boost.. just expertise and on use break... would give a good trade off of endurance and power/defence for an extra break. also it would need to always be at the top tier gearing price and vendor for pvp relics

  16. people are always claiming the resolve system doesn't always work... but not once since the game has released has anyone been able to produce any evidence of this.. i've been playing since pre-release and have NEVER had it not work as intended. like i said anyone who says it doesn't work was rooted and not stunned. i've died plenty of times right as my resolve fills.. so using my break would have been pointless. which is annoying, but not a broken system. this is partly why i stated there needs to be a 2nd break in my previous post..
  17. with your logic you would have to make all classes melee classes because ranged would have no way to stay ranged..
  18. i have to disagree.. i personally think it's fine the way it is. yes, it can get somewhat annoying but if you were to make roots effect resolve it would kill sorcs and snipers.. their roots are essential to staying alive in a wz.
  19. honestly there just needs to be a 2nd breaker.. one of the pvp relics should be a breaker with a 2min cd.. also it would need to be "unique" so you can only have 1. that would solve it imho. and a good trade off.. lose some decent stats and attackpower/defense for a 2nd break.. resolve works as intended.. i've never been stunned, mezzed, or knockbacked with full resolve.. the people that think they are get rooted. and they are too caught up in the moment to realize that because they can't move doesn't mean they are stunned.. they can still attack, pop defensive cd's, pop wz adrenal, heal, cc their attacker, or PASS THE DAMN BALL... but they seem to think because they can't move anymore the resolve system is broken.. i see it all the time on my sorc.. i root the ball carrier with full resolve on the fire and they just hold the ball and die instead of passing,, /shrug
  20. i kind of miss it, but i always thought it should have been unchecked with the option of checking it if you wanted to re-queue

  22. it's so true..i've had so many arguments over sorc/sage being completely viable.. only class i can't kite is a PT.. i just get melted unless they are under geared/skilled.. but that's because a pyro pt is practically unkiteable unless i'm missing something.. lol only thing that sucks is that it seems every good RWZ team on my server has 2+ pyro PT/vang :/
  23. I'd love to see these duels.. I have 3 50's, DPS sorc, mara, and op healer.. of my 3, my sorc is my main and 1st chr since pre-launch.. full augmented and re-modded WH, the others augmented mix of BM/WH. while i will say that i do fine with my sorc against all classes in duels, wz and ranked wz, there is one exception.. PT's.. maybe i just haven't figured out what i need to do to beat them yet, but i can't. not that i have never done it, but against equal gear and skill i haven't figured it out yet. mara/sent and tanksin/shadow can be a breeze, as they are easily kited. but a pyro PT on the other hand is impossible to kite due to constantly applied slow that can't be cleansed and a sorc will NOT out burst the PT. wish i was on your server, so i could see this sorc buddy of yours beat an equally geared and skilled PT.. because i need to see how this is done.. lol
