  1. The main problem I'd see happening here is that when populations rise on the servers most everyone is going to choose the same side.

If 90% of the population on a server is Republic then the republic is going to dominate that pvp planet. All of the people that wanna play empire will move to another server and now that server will be mostly all empire and there wont be anyone to pvp against because republic doesn't play on that server.

It's a good idea, but I don't see it happening.

It could be guild-based (like EVE) then. It would make enough sense for Empire guilds to wreck each other's **** in competition. Republic poses an issue here though...

  2. Not sure why you would want to. It's a proven fact keyboard/mouse = faster response time. Why do you think they DON'T make cross platform shooters? Because PC players would dominate.

That has more to do with the fact that controllers are pretty terrible for FPS's as far as how quick you can look around and whatnot.

MMO's can work ok with controllers. I've never tried it, but (IIRC) FFXI had combined servers with console and PC players.

  3. I see this kind of post all over the place, and while I don't work in the games industry, so I can't be exactly certain how it is there, in everything I've had experience with, the people in Bioware's position would've had significant input into the deadline, and they would've agreed that they could make it - and if they thought they couldn't, they should have said so right away. If you fail to make your deadlines, provided they weren't unrealistic to begin with (at which point you should never have accepted working to them) it's your fault, not those in charge.

You highly overestimate EA. I probably can't say much on here without being modded to hell for it, so go look up EA's policies and how they treat their devs and employees.

  4. There's a non-instanced exit to the left (IIRC) of the map in that spaceport/spacedock. Or whatever it is.

[edit] Nevermind. I thought you were just starting the mission.

I know it's a pain in the ***, but you could try restarting the mission (via the mission log screen).

[edit2] Actually, try using your emergency fleet pass first.
