  1. I gave up on the Oceanic servers when there were 11 people on the fleet. Now waiting for player transfers to bring across the SI I made there.
  2. Simple fix would be that if they have a mission/conversation marker, they remain in their original position. Another thing I thought of was the old Ebon Hawk; how cool would it be to be able to have one of your speeders on display in your ship. It needs a lot of little things to make it actually feel like a place that you OWN, rather than a more complicated speeder system. I like the idea of being able to use all the rooms, ie sleeping on beds, resting in bacta tanks, and if mini games come along, maybe a pazaac table (that links to other players who are playing). I unlocked some of the training dummies through legacy, imagine some of your companions training on them. Again, just some more of the little things.
  3. At the moment, there is nothing more boring than being on your ship. But the amount of potential it has, it could be a fun place to be, with just a little bit of life. I like the though of being able to sit on your own ship (ala SWG) and enjoy the feeling of your place in the galaxy, almost as if it were player housing. But it is a dead space. After getting all the legacy perks, I thought that would help, but still, it doesn't add enough. A simple idea could be to have companions moving around the ship, or even their own area, looking like they are doing tasks. So when I board my ship, I see a companion in the back, working on the engine, or in the cockpit, seated at a chair, etc. What would you like to see happening on your ship? What would make it more interesting for you? ps This is not so much about sandbox space flight, the SSSP or anything else like that, just in the ship.
  4. But it isn't working as intended. Even on my level 50, he came with no gear, then when I got the mail pack with it all, it was still missing a knife. So in no way is HK-51 working as intended. He was useless on my level 50 before the patch, and is even more annoying now that he has incomplete gear. On my alt, he is worthless until you spend money on upgrading him. I've sent tickets to BW on each of those characters about the two different problems, but haven't heard anything back yet. I sent those tickets about half an hour after the patch, so it doesn't look like I'm getting a response at this rate...
  5. You are right, they didn't say it was scalable gear. But when you pay real money for something, you should be able to use it effectively, or there should be a disclaimer. It has nothing to do with being lazy. On top of this, there are no quests that would give you the gear you need to keep updating his gear, like you get for your other companions, so now I need to use my in-game currency to pay for over-priced gear from the GTN, just so he can be the amazing HK killing machine he was intended to be. If they weren't going to implement him properly, he should have been locked to level 50.
  6. I don't mind it coming with, say, level 1 orange gear that you can then mod yourself. And the box of gear you mentioned was for characters (like my level 50) who did the quest for HK-51 and received him with no gear at all. BW sent all those players the level 50 gear he should have come with. I got screwed there as well, because it didn't include his knife. Just seems like they weren't prepared for the amount of screw-ups with HK-51, or I was just unlucky and copped a fair amount of bugs.
  7. So I bought this guy (from the cartel market) on my alt when I was around level 5, for the sole purpose that it would be awesome to level with HK-51 by my side. He came with useless level 50 gear that made him pretty ineffective in fights, especially when I'm a healing op; a firefight just takes forever. So I sent in a ticket, and I was assured that the scaling gear would be addressed in the upcoming patch. Well, there are no changes and it is really starting to get annoying, because I'm not going to have a massive need for him come level 50. I want to use him now, and I shouldn't have to buy him gear continuously as I level, after paying real money to get him in the first place.
  8. I'm new to roleplaying, only ever played in PVP servers in MMO's, but have always liked to develop a 'character' to follow. I honestly had never looked into RP before, and ignored the concept completely. But I would like to take what I have been doing already, to the next level and get serious about it. I've been researching the style of play for RP, and have got a good basic grasp of how to get started. I pick things up quickly, a reflection of my character, so don't worry about having someone who has no idea playing with you. I am a huge fan of Star Wars lore, and would like to find a group/guild that I can share this with, keeping with canon, and developing a great story. I am looking to start a Sith character, but am unsure of what server currently is the best for serious RP.
  9. The problem with this, is that this discourages PvP, which is the opposite of its intent. If the person with the bounty on their head keep surviving and winning even match ups, they should be rewarded too. Maybe 'Bounty Commendations' instead of credits?
  10. I don't like the idea of needing it to be consensual - that defeats the purpose. I think that if it happens, it needs to be PvP based (this won't happen, because they will never limit a feature to a particular server) and you can only call for a bounty if you are killed by someone, say twice in a PvP area. The person taking up the bounty needs to be within three levels of the target (for 1-49) or level 50 for all level 50 targets. Nice and simple.
  11. So I am new to level 50 (Sith Warrior), and want to get into some ops and raids. I keep getting told I need better gear, which I understand to be Tionese, Columi and Rakata. My question is, if I find a piece of orange or purple gear that I like for the aesthetics, can I just modify that to be considered the equivalent level (for the modifications made) of Tionese, Columi and Rakata gear? Or can I pretty much only go to those higher level ops and raids with the proper PVE sets?
  12. You are actually going off what Jolee Bindo has to say about the history of the Sith Empire? Really? Revan and Malak were hardly pushovers. But to say Revan was one of the strongest, well no, I don't think so. He wasn't even the strongest Jedi or Sith of his time. As a Sith, he was controlled by The Emperor, and as a Jedi, all he did was kill Malak. Nothing amazing. I do like Revan though, but then we all do, and that's probably because we played as him and got emotionally attached. For me, Bane wins that fight out of Kun, Vader Bane and Revan.
  13. I would love to see a mobile/pad application; Android and Apple, that allows you to direct your companion gathering missions and crafting tasks. I love being able to set my companions to gather/craft as I leave the game, but imagine being able to continuously direct the action whilst away from your computer. This can then also incorporate the Auction House and your Cargo Hold. The world is moving in the mobile direction, I think that the first MMO to truly take advantage of that step will gain a dominance on the market. I really think that the opportunity is there for SWTOR to take that step, because the gathering/crafting function has already been set up in a way that can be managed from an app; as opposed to other games, where you need to physically gather and craft each time (think farming in WoW).
  14. So I'm rolling a juggernaut, just up to level 10 now, and deciding on the build I want to go with. I've always played MMO's as a casting type of character, and wanted to break away from that and have a toon that is a heavy hitter. I want this guy to cause some serious damage with each swing of his saber. So obviously, I'm tossing up between Vengeance and Rage builds. Does anyone have any advice on the two, and/or any sample builds?
  15. My point exactly. But he wasn't naturally strong from physical training, though it would have helped. It was his strength in The Force that gave him his physical strength. People saying that Kun and Vader are matched in fighting styles do not understand just how physically strong Vader is. And people saying that Kun wins, therefore, because he is stronger in Force Powers, do not understand that the sheer force of Vader's attack prevents Kun from using the full strength of his Force Powers, because of the amount of energy he would have to devote to defending Vader's attack.
  16. Same situation here. I have a 43 on an Australian server, and it is really boring when there is no one on a planet. As well as that, our Auction House is empty, and feels like you are only playing against the computer. I just created a character on a US server, and the lag isn't too bad. It is like playing WoW, so nothing ridiculous. I would like to bring my 43 across, so hopefully I get to do that soon.
  17. Is it not a 'force power' which augments Vader's strength to the point he is so physically strong? The Force flows through him so strongly that it feeds him raw, physical power to dominate his opponents. He understands his limitations from the suit (no lightning, etc), and uses The Force to excel his powers in other ways. I can't see Vader in the basement gym of a Star Destroyer benching 400 pounds to get stronger...with Sidious spotting. I imagine that Vader would dominate Kun so much, physically, that Kun would not be able to summon any of his advanced force powers, or if he was able to, they would be severely weaker from trying to hold off Vader's brute strength.
  18. Yeah I get what you are on about now. I thought you were initially saying the 'Grey Code' on the first page was canon.
  19. Was that Grey Jedi code canon? If so, the person who wrote it should be put down.
  20. "I will do what I must to keep the balance" What balance is there to keep when "There is no Dark Side, nor a Light Side" How can there not be a dark/light side of the force? That has to be one of the dumbest things I have ever heard. The Grey 'Jedi' should be saying that they are trying to find the balance between the two sides of the force, not that they don't exist.
