Hey there, Star Forge <Røughnecks> [imp] is looking for one more person to join in on our progression raid team. Most of us have been around since launch and played up to 4.0 where we took a break. Before we left we had started a progression raid team.. 3 actually. We did a few HM and partial NiM ops back in the day. Now that we're actively playing again we formed our first team and progressed through SNV, DP, TFB (hm). Unfortunately one of our players [healer] had to drop due to personal issues. So instead of me running around the fleet advertising for hours i wanted to try this forum page. Our raid team run is on Saturday night 9 p.m. eastern time. If you are a dps we don't mind switching that role to make easier on you if you can't or don't know how to heal. We would prefer a healer though. We do however ask for discord and parse. Once we complete all the old content in Hm we will start over in NiM and then proceed to the new ops. Also if you're just interested in general to join us that's fine too. Almost everyone in the guild participates in all aspects of the game like pvp(ranked/regs) pve ops dailies and events. GSF and more. The few times i've seen someone do the DPS spec with tank gear is because they wanted to learn how to do skank/shank tank but got it backwards.

I guess there are just different things going on in different servers. From where i'm from a player that runs a tank spec with all dps mods/enhancements/armorings ect.. and a shield generator call themselves a shank tank.. the players that don't typically like this setup refer to them as "skank tanks" as a form of insult to them for doing it. At least that's what myself and others i've talked to refer to it. A player that is in a dps spec and running tank mods/enhancements/armorings and form (in 4.0) is just something i wouldn't call anything else besides stupid. I agree it is not possible to play a dps spec in 5.0 and use tank items because the shield requires the soresu form to work which is now a passive that you get by selecting the tank as your spec. it is however possible to play a skank/shank tank which again is a tank with dps gear. because the soresu form is a passive since you are a tank. and the shield generator will activate because you're in that stance (even though you can't see it) i'm kinda glad they made the stances passive and auto apply when you select a tree because i would facepalm so bad when i saw a player around lvl 40+ and no stance if i knew they had one they could use. Or even those players that you see use impale and run the shii-cho form and you know that they should be in shien form because of the spec they went with but don't know any better XD

I agree with you on bolster being a huge problem. If i remember correctly one reason they added it was so normal non-expertise gear could get set slightly on par with pvp gear and so pve players could have a chance in a pve setting. Now that there is no expertise in pvp i feel they should remove it and only keep bolster for any story mode content as far as pve. and ONLY story mode. as for the shield thing i agree there is too much tech/force stuff going on so i feel since it is a "shield generator" it should be able to absorb some of the dmg of a periodic affect or any tech/force ability. nothing crazy but at least so the the ability doesn't tick as hard as someone who doesn't have a shield gen, but again that's just my opinion

I'm probably going to get flamed for this but here we go. For a very long time now skank or shank tanks w/e you want to call them have been a thing in the game. While being able to hit like a truck and feel like they have all the durability of an actual tank these guys are annoying. Now from experience I find them fun and at the same time they can be a bit unfair. People I've spoke to have come up with silly ideas on how to eliminate this type of build. The idea I had in mind and before I type it out if some of you thought of this as well then cool. The soresu tank stance which is now passive because of the 5.0 drop says blah blah blah (all damage is reduced by 10%). That last part is what I was thinking about. In my opinion it should be (all damage dealt is reduced by 40%). If the tank or person increases their shield/absorption passed the 20%/24% that is default by the shield generator to let's say 28%/30% then the soresu damage dealt will now be 30%. I'm just making these numbers up as an example. But at the end if the tank has something like 45% shield 50% then the soresu form will drop back down to it base 10% reduction on all damage dealt. Never have I seen a skank /shank tank go higher on shield and absorb then what the default shield gen gives. Let me know what you guys think.

I have checked everywhere. the pvp vendor the section-x vendor, i even asked a few 15 people i knew with artifice and some randoms on the fleet if they already had the schematic for it. It was my understanding that when the pvp lock boxes were at the pvp vendor you had a slight chance of getting them. At one point i was also looking for the Blue crystal ( no secondary) warhero and that one was later placed in the vendor not as a schematic but just a simple crystal. I find it weird though that they didn't add the purple one if they put up almost every other one. Now the only way i could think of getting it is if someone comes online that has already had the schematic. I say this because there is no more lockboxes or ways to get them as far as i know.

i already checked they have a white/purple and a black/purple i'm looking for the Purple (no secondary)

If anyone can make a +41 Expertise Warhero Purple ( no secondary color) please hit me up i'll pay a good amount for the this crystal.. None on the GTN i've spoken with a bunch of people you can't even get the schematics from the lockboxes because they were removed. so if anyone can help me out that would be great.

Hello everyone!!!!! I was on vacation and away from swtor when this server name wipe happened a few months ago.(bummed out) and i missed a name i really wanted to get. I think i understand that any f2p under lvl 30 who is inactive for longer then 30 days got their name taken correct? Any players who have lvl 30+ toons sub or f2p will not be affected. So my question is will this ever happen again or can someone give me some more info please?

Is anyone still having trouble logging on after 2.2? I looked at the server list on the site and it says all the servers are up and im still getting the login service is currently unavailable. can anyone help? i used the "fix launcher" program within the files and i even uninstalled and reinstalled the game twice, and still nothing. btw yay for 50mbs internet

How about letting me in? the damn servers aren't up or its unavailable
